HOI4 - [Pre-Man The Guns] Taking France as Italy before the Allies intervene Hopesedge 2018-12-29 | This was recommended by Vasya Kaban but I guess it makes sense as a continuation from the last videos, again I don't really care for paratroopers, they feel a bit too powerful and don't really make for interesting game play, so I avoided them altogether when I made this video.France and Italy have a very small border, and it's on mountainous terrain, France start with a better army, navy and more fighters, but if you can make up the difference in fighters and focus a lot of production on CAS then you can get an advantage in destroying the opponents equipment during skirmishes. Naturally a full on assault with naval invasions and pushing through the border isn't realistic, it's too heavily fortified and easy to defend, so I attempted to circumvent that problem by directing as much of that defensive power elsewhere.At the start make sure you stall out the fighting against Ethiopia so as to get around 50 army experience, that way you can modify and improve your unit templates as seen in the video.The strategy I used focused around threatening Frances provinces in Africa, by killing off any units that show up by encircling them I was able to slowly drain the manpower, unit pool and equipment of France, this is all whilst holding the border with entrenched divisions and air superiority, each unit taken out in Africa will result in more units being pulled from the border to help down south, as long as you consistently focus on this you'll be able to wipe out a good portion of their land army, and with their poor industry they shouldn't be able to create any new units, this is further exacerbated by the attrition the units in the Africa's will have, which consistently and continuously drains any equipment made.My navy wasn't a focus of this video and wasn't made use of to a high level, what could have been improved was having them exclusively focus on convoy destruction, and spread them out a little bit with some submarines to the east of Spain, as long as "fire at will" is disabled they'll only attack convoys and not other ships, this can delay reinforcement of Africa making the units currently there suffer more fatalities.Your goal isn't to take Africa, it's to stall and wipe out as many units as possible, if you were to take it then all their power could be focused on your land border which would be catastrophic to pushing. Once the French on your border stop attacking it's time to push, have them push as far as they can before you start losing lots of skirmishes, then stop pushing and wait for a few more units to be pulled to the African region, make sure you keep your planes focused on the zones you're trying to take / defend.In the end you'll be left with a lot of land, a puppet (if you choose) bolstering a relatively strong navy, and a direct channel to that of the UK's coastline, the same type of strategy can be used as my other video on "Taking the UK after conquering France early", it's the same type of thing except you won't have nearly as many naval bombers as you would if you started as Germany, since you need so many more resources focused on other areas to conquer France. HOI4 - Taking the UK after conquering France early. Hopesedge 2018-08-04 | This is an extension of the prior video where you take France before the Allies get involved. Here just like the last video I opt out of using Paratroopers since they really trivialise the game in many ways. The main objective here is to gain ground on the UK, once you've done that you can end the war quite quickly, the cavalry made before work well at guarding the coastline, which allows you to fight without worry. One major difference in this video is that I puppeted a France by leaving them a tiny island, this way you get to make use of their Fleet if you so desire.Naval bombers in mass do extraordinary damage to ships, and can quickly wipe out even the biggest navy's, the only threat is if the enemy stack Fighters, but usually the UK doesn't have enough this early as they're still getting into the swing of things.All your land you took from France in the Africa's will draw in a lot of the UK's attention, so they don't usually defend their main territory as well, thinking you'll push through the grounded areas, this can be used to your advantage in quickly securing a dock.In this video I had hardly any losses to the UK and France, this is down to two things, how lucky you are with navy engagements and how quickly you can get started and finish each war, the sooner you beat France the sooner you can go against the UK, which often means they don't have enough units to fully defend their territory. If you play the war against France perfectly then you can finish it before 1937, which is extremely useful.After dealing with France and the UK you're pretty much set to take on the rest of the world, if you want to then you can Satellite the UK's puppets instead of leaving them like I did, this will make the future wars a little less tedious, but honestly once you've removed these two countries you have free rein to take over all of Europe and Asia, after doing this and puppeting Japan as an island you'll have a huge navy to contest the US. So overall through this method of defeating the Allies early you can achieve a world conquest with little extra work and with minimal losses.
HOTS - Why I love Gazlowe Hopesedge 2018-07-17 | Honestly this combo is so satisfying when it lands, I spent this entire game missing the combo, but the moment it upgraded at 20, I was able to land it, I guess the opponents didn't consider it's increased size.

Hopesedge 2018-06-06 | The idea behind this strategy is simple, unlike the paratrooper method you don't need much prep, just start a war goal on France ASAP, then go for infrastructure & factory upgrade Focus', meanwhile make 5 airbases near the fallback line so planes can reach the whole area and build the rest as military factories (or anything you want really), since there isn't any need for anything else, create a fallback line somewhat into your land, and set up tanks on a point with a path of flat ground (so they can move faster). Once the war starts get all of your units to push aggressively so they are pinned and can't move, then rush through with your tanks and secure the Maginot line, once you have some of that you can slowly cut through France and eventually capitulate them.Once you're done with that you can try for a naval invasion immediately after on the UK, if you would like to see that part then let me know.I feel like it's a little bit of abusing the AI with this, as they don't hold the Maginot line, even though 1 infantry unit on each tile would be more than sufficient, perhaps an update can add that so this tactic won't work, even if they cut off your tanks then you're at the Maginot line and they lose supply they'll still be near invulnerable since the 10 forts are ridiculous.

6 minutes 30 seconds Uldaman Run Hopesedge 2017-10-12 | This is the route I usually follow, rogue is useful for the passive movement speed on kills (outlaw only), the grappling hook, and the lock pick for the two chests you'll often find. This route usually entails skipping a few inconsequential mobs for maximum time efficiency, if this wasn't my first run in the last month it would have been a little faster and more efficient (~30 seconds faster), This way you can get more runs in an hour then that of 10 minute runs that clear everything (even the small, non elite out-the-way packs).Join a scenario in Vale before you start your run's and you'll be able to teleport in and out very fast, it's preferable to choose a scenario that you can mount up in so you can see trash if needed (I didn't do this because I'd just destroy trash). Once my bags are full I'll dump everything I've got into my guild bank and continue on until my bags are full again, at which point I'd take a break.Runs would usually give 4k-10k gold each, if you can do 10 in an hour (very much possible) then you'll make 40k-100k in non-liquid assets. If you're lucky however you could get 150k-1.5m in single rare items, the more runs you do the more likely you are to get these.

Retribution Paladin Challenge - Shattered Reckoning Hopesedge 2017-04-04 | Took 10 tries in all, first 4 of which I couldn't work out how to deal with the aoe pulsing fire, then I realized I could Repentance her, so that talent is 100% needed, I also got rid of Crusade and chose Divine Purpose alongside Justicar Vengeance for the heal, do note that if you use Justicars on the rune guy when he has the shield up, then you won't actually get healed since you didn't deal any damage (since it gets absorbed). Fight seems to end at 21% on Sigryn, I didn't know this so I was still trying to kill the Rune guy. Not sure why, may be because of how many people were doing it, but I had a solid .3-.4 seconds of delay on my abilities, that made it a little more painful to do, but it's still doable without many issues if you preemptively act.I'm pretty confident this was realm first for the retribution paladin one at least, but I've saw a few demon hunters with it around before I got started.Music is some random "epic" songs.
BM Hunter - Pet pathing error in arena Hopesedge 2017-03-03 | I just unlocked BM spec on my hunter I was leveling and wanted to see what it was like, and since arena skirmishes are quick to get into I could give it a shot, but then out of nowhere my pet gets stuck and refuses to move, made me think that if this were competitive content then this little pathing error could have ruined the entire encounter.Pet pathing is not great in Legion, at least other specs aren't too buggy.

Inceptum Argent Dawn - Xavius Mythic | Ret Paladin POV Hopesedge 2016-11-22 | Songs chosen based on the Heroic kill video I uploaded.So he's the backstory to this, we spend the entire night trying to get Cenarius down, and we just about managed it and got our first kill on him, but I didn't consider recording it since it wasn't the "final boss", even though it ended up being 100x harder then Xavius was, in fact most of our raid didn't have flasks, food or even pots, we just did it because it's not very well tuned (it's incredibly easy).You'll notice a few things in the video, a cringe-worthy start for giggles, very low dps across the raid because again it wasn't hard so most people were half-arsing it, a few tactics get messed up ect. The fight was way too easy and a disappointment overall, Cenarius was by far the most prestigious kill in the raid and I didn't consider recording that, shame.Will Hopesedge get that trinket? Ret Paladin Solo - The Butcher Heroic Hopesedge 2016-11-14 | All the other boss' in Highmaul are really simple, this was the only boss that I could see being an issue due to his insane damage, this being the case you should bring Drums of War & other consumables to kill it in time, I imagine hunters and warlocks having an easier time on this as their pets can tank, where paladin's could have major attacks get parried which could cripple your dps. Before this attempt I had a try without consumables, I got it to 20% and figured I should use a few, but then wen't overkill, I probably could have killed it without using the Potion of War, but it's best to be safe.Left some information at the start of the video for if you want to try it yourself, Mythic isn't possible yet (and may never be in legion) for soloing so Heroic is your best bet, I'm pretty sure this boss has the highest dps requirement of any WoD raid, but I'm yet to confirm that.

Dark Souls III - My Nameless King Kill Hopesedge 2016-05-10 | So this took me like 5 tries, my first try was actually my second best attempt as I got him to half health on the second phase, but then the two attempts that followed were terrible as I kept messing up the camera (it was unlocking from the boss so I couldn't see the moves), on this fifth attempt though I got used to the camera and started to understand the audio cues. Regardless a really fun fight!My play through was pretty much just a sword and shield build (using shield of want for bonus souls) since I preferred the feel of small swords. I was level 100 when I killed this (all the souls I got from boss' I used without knowing what they could be used for, which I regret now that I do know, but it gave me a level advantage atleast).The hardest boss I've faced in this game was Dancer of the Boreal Valley as I didn't know she was a later boss and instead killed her as my third boss, least to say it took a while since I couldn't get hit by anything less I wish to have died.

When the dark spirit came I didn't have any chance of beating it (unless I outplayed the crap out of it, but I don't have enough confidence in my abilities and knowledge of the game to do that yet.) so I found a easier way to end the fight.As for the audio I was watching a documentary whilst I played and unfortunately Shadowplay picked up all the audio from that, so the video would have been near-unwatchable without changing the sound.

Heroes of the Storm - Kharazim Gameplay #4 Hopesedge 2016-02-21 | Firstly I'd like to say that I'm sorry that all the videos up to now have been victories, I'm not trying to do that but it's just turning out that way, I'll channel my inner bad player to hopefully lose the next game to add more diversity.Trying out different settings, this one will have higher contrast compared to the rest and a higher base frame rate (it says that they are all 60, but the last videos were converted multiple time so frames may have been lost).Regarding the funky lag spike around 13 minutes in, this is caused by NVIDIA Shadowplay's recording format, when used on Windows 7 it will cut into a second video if they clip is bigger then a certain amount of GB's, if I upgrade to Windows 8/10 then this'll vanish, so I may upgrade soon.Finally the Gaussian blur that is present was in all the previous videos also, I'll try the next video without it to see the comparison, it will either make it look smoother or less-smooth, hard to say.Gotta love this 4 part series (as of 21/02/16), biggest achievement of my YouTube career, hopefully I wont ball out and I'll keep leaving these nostalgic drop-boxes for future me.
