A free-to-start business of your own with a (near) passive income - yeah right. We've all heard about these passive income gurus where the class costs you hundreds of dollars, but you need thousands of followers to make it work, and the income is anything but passive. But there are actually a few genuine ways that you can earn a small income that ticks away into your bank account without any ongoing maintenance needed - after you have invested just some time to set it up of course.

I'm happy to share how I do it with you, and this class is free so there is nothing stopping you doing it too. In fact, I encourage you to do it, and I'll show you step by step how you can make it happen.

*Does it actually work?*
During the recording of this class, less than 24 hours after I finished setting up the dummy store used as an example, I had my first sale. A customer found my store and bought two cushions. So yes, it works.

Of course, the better your designs, the more popular your products will be and the more sales you will make. And those who work hardest are luckiest! So stock your shop with lots of different designs to attract a wide range of customers - you get your first 40 listings in your Etsy store for free.

It costs you nothing to get started so what have you got to lose? Your new store could be the next big thing!

In the class, I will share a few inspiring examples of stores that are making hundreds or thousands of sales using this method, without ever making or posting a single one of them personally. If they can do it, so can you.

*Who should take this class?*
I was thinking just WHO is this class for? Truly, I think it's for everyone. I can't think of anyone who won't be able to benefit from this. Whether you are a student, a busy stay at home mom or dad, retired, unemployed or between jobs, or just looking to spend your spare time wisely to earn some extra cash - we can all do this and profit from it.

All you need is a little time. There is absolutely no outlay, you don't have to actually make, store, package or send anything. Just add in a couple of new designs to your store whenever you get a chance.

There is nothing to lose except a little time when you'd probably be watching some terrible TV show anyway. So go for it, you could be making sales (and making a little extra money) very soon.

Quick flip cup with pretty bright leftover paints

Deby at Mixed Media Arts 2018-11-25 | These paints are perhaps my favorite colors together. They just work, I don't have to think about it. Plus they are lovely and bright. But usually I use them with black which really makes them pop. This time I'm thinking I'll try to pair them with white in a flip cup because I have some left over from another project. I'm thinking the white paint will turn them more pastel as a result.

Altered acrylic swipe painting | Painting an elephant on top of a swipe painting

Deby at Mixed Media Arts 2018-08-31 | Our acrylic pouring challenge this month was to take a pour and alter it in some way. We could use any pouring technique and the alterations were artists choice - no other rules which gave us so many possibilities.

I was inspired by an amazing elephant painting I had seen by artist Danny Young and I asked him if I could copy. He's such a star, he said Yes! I don't have the artistic skills to make one anywhere near as good as the original, but I am still happy with how my elephant painting came out. I think this swipe and silhouette painting technique has a lot of promise and I could see myself doing more art like this in future.

Acrylic pouring swipe | Center swipe | Swipe with a palette knife

Deby at Mixed Media Arts 2018-08-19 | It's been a long time since I did an acrylic pouring swipe manually so I thought it would make a nice change. Using a very light hand and a palette knife, I lightly lifted the white paint in the center and swiped it over the blue to create cells. Swiping is still my favorite way to create cells and my favorite way to make acrylic pouring paintings. Bllue and white together are probably my favorite colors.

Swipe in both directions | Zig Zag Swipe | Acrylic pouring swipe technique

Deby at Mixed Media Arts 2018-08-07 | I'm trying a new acrylic pouring swipe technique today. Back to using the silicone wedge tool with the zig zag teeth and it was that tool that gave me the idea. I need to do a zig zag swipe, so that I swipe in one direction and then swipe back in the other direction. So that I can make a pair of matching swipe paintings, I'm using two canvases, putting them together and swiping them both at the same time.

Bubblewrap look coasters using resin - so much fun

Deby at Mixed Media Arts 2018-08-03 | What could be more fun than coasters that look like bubblewrap! You'll want to pop them, but these bubbles are hard. I've used MasterCast resin and some scraps of bubblewrap to make coasters with bubbles. We usually try to avoid bubbles in our resin, but not this time! I show you two different methods for making bubblewrap resin coasters.

Acrylic pouring 3d paint pour challenge | Pyramid pour

Blue starburst acrylic pouring swipe | Recreating an old project

Deby at Mixed Media Arts 2018-07-30 | I'm trying to recreate an old painting. The original blue starburst swipe painting sold quickly and I find myself needing a little extra cash so I'll be trying to make art that sells, and recreate some old favorites. Swipe paintings should be much easier to recreate than flip cups and dirty pours because you can control where you put the paint on the canvas, how those colors mix together and the direction you swipe. I hope this gives you some ideas for a starburst swipe of your own. It looks cool with rainbow colors too.

Rain-x for making cells in acrylic pouring - test and review

Deby at Mixed Media Arts 2018-07-22 | Can you make acrylic pouring cells with Rain-x? I saw a vieo a couple of months ago where a lady lightly sprayed Rainex over her painting without silicone and it exploded with cells. I had to give this a try myself. I mixed my paints 1:1 decoart paints with their pouring medium, no silicone and did a flip cup painting. Cells came up naturally. However when spraying with rainex what happened next? Advice please - resin petri art - which frames look best?

Deby at Mixed Media Arts 2018-07-16 | Can you help me decide? I don't have a lot of framing options available here in Cayman but I do have some liquid art panels and some small cradled boards from my Jerrys Haul and I wonder if you think these would work for framing my petri art?

What about the thicker ones? I think those are the most difficult. Is that 6 inch frame large enough or should I go up a size? All input and opinion gratefully received. Thank you.

Which pouring medium is best for tree ring swirl pours?

Deby at Mixed Media Arts 2018-07-14 | I've run out of my Sargent Art Gloss medium and varnish and need to buy something new. I used this one ALL the time for tree ring swirls when I didn't want to get cells. Floetrol just makes too many cells when I don't want them.
So I'm looking for your advice - what is your favorite pouring medium to use when you DON'T want to get cells?
