EPIC Road Trip Across Wyoming! Broken Rental Car In the middle of No Where, Crazy Open Spaces! OUTDOORS55 2022-01-16 | A crazy road trip across Wyoming. Wyoming is the least populated state in the nation. And the open spaces here are amazing. We drove from Denver through Cheyenne, Laramie, Casper, Buffalo, and finally Sheridan, then back again. And countless small towns in-between. We drove through Big Horn National Forest, and Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. As well went on a quick hike in Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest, which was amazing! I think my favorite place in Wyoming was Big Horn National Forest right outside of Buffalo. And it would be the number one place I would like to spend more time if I came back. Total isolation is only 5 minutes away from Buffalo! ⬇️ The sole purpose of this trip was NOT to make a video on Wyoming, we had other things to do here. The video was secondary. In this video I show you, up close, what the burr looks like. I also show what the burr looks like after minimizing on a sharpening stone, as well as after stropping. Fully removing the burr is ESSENTIAL for the sharpest knife possible. And if done properly, you can achieve very sharp edges even with coarse grits. This I just what I do to heat treat this particular steel. If your a beginner knife maker dont be intimidated if you dont have all the fancy tools. I started using a VERY basic forge. Whats The Sharpest Knife In The World? OUTDOORS55 2019-09-20 | How sharp can you get a knife freehand sharpening? Pretty sharp! These knives were sharpened freehand on some prototype sharpening stones to 400 grit, and stropped with a two strop progression. Theres plenty of room for improvement as they are only 400 grit edges. This knife is made with CPM-3v steel, and is considered a super steel. Just the heat treating takes 10 hours! Grinding the bevels was very tough as cpm 3v has great wear resistance.
