I don't know if this is the "FINAL" update yet, but this build is definitely capable of conquering the most difficult content the endgame currently has to offer.As all Shield Warriors know at this point, Shield Wall is hitting like a truck and is something that can be leveraged to nuke pinnacle bosses. On this build, Shield Walls are hitting for a lot: initial 5-6ish million hit followed by just as much damage, if not more, in Ignite. When the stars align, you can get ~12ish million damage from ONE Shield Wall, including the Ignite damage (empowered by Infernal Cry, and assuming the boss has the Sundered Armour + Fire Exposure debuff).For group clearing and Simulacrums, pretty much all you need is Fortifying Cry and Shield Wave. Are Shield Warriors STRONGER THAN EVER? | Warbringer Build: Leveling to Maps | PoE2: The Third Edict Lexd 2025-09-07 | Build Link: mobalytics.gg/poe-2/profile/52ab9e8f-178a-4907-81a7-5dcb237c3d75/builds/ea7c7979-047a-4588-a552-48ec70a52bdcThe new Shield Warrior in Path of Exile 2: The Third Edict is honestly feeling pretty strong at the moment. We have an extremely strong combo in the highly-damaging Shield Wall coupled with Fortifying Cry. That warcry explodes Shield Walls instantly, as well as creating a small shockwave around each section, which contributes a bunch of damage but honestly, Shield Wall by itself is the thing that is hitting so, so hard.Magma Barrier is also hitting like a truck, but only once every 8 seconds with no way of reducing the cooldown. The support gem Compressed Duration currently does NOT do anything for this skill, which I think is a bug but would definitely help once it is fixed. As it stands, Magma Barrier feels like it hits really hard, but that insane cooldown keeps me from loving it like I did the previous version(s).Shield Charge is now a stun-buildup, utility skill. The STRONGEST Whirlwind Build in Titan Quest 2 | Warfare + Storm Mastery Lexd 2025-08-15 | A bit late to the party, but after playing a bunch of Whirlwind setups in Titan Quest 2, I am feeling pretty confident that the Warfare + Storm mastery combination is actually the strongest for a Whirlwind build in Titan Quest 2, despite what I initially thought.That's not to say that the other ones aren't "viable," you can definitely make it through the game using them, but the amount of survivability, sustain, and damage you can dish out with the Tempest class seems much higher than the others due to juicing up the Rage mechanic for a bit of everything (lots of damage, lots of health regen, and lots of energy regen).Earth and Warfare is not a bad combination either, but I found the burning ailment lackluster as the Chill and Lightning ailments ALSO deal damage-over-time in addition to freezing and interrupting enemies, while burning simply does damage and nothing else.The Rogue and Warfare combo performed least best as the damage was impressive with the criticals, but there was very little survivability and sustain with that build. I apologize for the wait everyone; citadel RNG royally screwed me, I guess I could have used the patch last week.Anyways, I say this is my FINAL update on this build, but I may make another video if I get unreasonably juiced (e.g. I get some of those new chase items, the Prism of Belief I want, a shield upgrade, etc.). It just won't be a fully-fledged build update like this one since I feel like I have gotten this shield warrior playstyle to its peak.We're still relying on Shield Charge for the big damages, mobility, and even to proc Solar Orb at times on the tougher bosses like Arbiter of Ash. But to deal the REAL damage with it, we want to use Resonating Shield for the boss to have fully-broken armour, Fire Exposure (now applied by the Solar Orb via Fire Spell on Hit), and Flammability before using Infernal Cry and slamming them for a big chunk of hp. We're not totally maxed out on Ignite Magnitude, but we have a lot and we will still burn away a TON of health while running around and playing defensively.We are now also using Ancestral Warrior totem as our main Rage battery for boss fights and much more. It just makes so much more sense than Shield Wall since you can summon it quickly with the Ancestral Urgency support gem, and it actually does damage with Rolling Slam socketed (though I go over some alternatives in the video).Other than that, business as usual. Simulacrums are pretty breezy, just on the later rounds stay more towards the outskirts and keep those Magma Barriers, Shield Charges, and Ancestral Warrior Totems rollin. If I take some spikey damage I may use Rally to consume my endurance charges and heal 30% to 60% of my life (sometimes more based on our luck!) and channel Resonating Shield a LITTLE bit longer to get our Energy Shield to recharge.All in all, a very strong off-meta build in my opinion. This is my late endgame version of the previous Shield Charge, Magma Barrier, and Resonating Shield build I crafted, leaning into Ignite damage with Avatar of Fire for bosses and the super strong Magma Barrier + Trampletoes combo to wipe large groups of enemies.Overall this has been performing very strongly in the endgame for everything: Tier 16+ Maps, Simulacrum, Pinnacle Bosses, Breaches, Rituals, etc. Though, we have made some significant changes as far as where our damage comes from, how we are staying tanky, and some skill + support gem adjustments.We've included Temper Weapon into our arsenal, which has been much more effective than the meme I thought it would be. It uses our Martial Weapon's stats and applies damage to ALL of our shield skills, and I have it socketed in a way that supports in clearing groups as well as keeping things Ignited.Shield Wall is now here as a way to build rage before boss encounters, as well as an assist in group clearing when paired with Infernal Cry. For the Rage generation, we swap the Font of Rage gem from Fire Spell on Hit (which we've been utilizing for free Solar Orb casts) into Shield Wall for boss fights. I've also included a pair of pretty good boots with more movespeed and defensives compared to Trampletoes, which I also use for Pinnacle Boss fights, Trials of Sekhemas, traveling through Maps more quickly, etc.The Deepest Tower has completely revamped our spec, allowing us to make all enemies within our "Presence" to count as "Low Life," which makes a ton of accessible low-life damage nodes on the Passive Skill Tree worth picking up, and is boosting our Ignite damage even more. It has a pretty terrible Presence radius debuff, but as Shield Warriors, we don't care since all of our hardest-hitting stuff is basically point blank. Advanced Tech for Resonating Shield, Magma Barrier, Shield Charge | Warrior Builds | Path of Exile 2 Lexd 2025-04-26 | This is a video idea I had for awhile as a lot of you keep asking me how Magma Barrier actually works. There's a bit of information on the tooltip but I figured I'd go over it in my own way and how I've found to best use it, alongside the other tricks I've been using with Resonating Shield and Shield Charge.Resonating Shield can hit much faster if you are constantly starting a new channel as soon as the first shockwave appears. (OLD) The BEST Shield Warrior Build: Leveling to Maps | Smith of Kitava | PoE2 Dawn of the Hunt Lexd 2025-04-18 | The long-awaited sequel to the Trampletoes build has arrived (and seeing as we're still in mid-tier maps, there's a lot of room for experimentation). Turns out, Trampletoes is still amazing for clearing maps! We will not longer be one-shotting bosses with these boots and Magma Barrier + Shield Wall, however, as GGG has fixed this interaction and has nerfed the damage of Magma Barrier greatly.However, Magma Barrier still hits very hard, enough to clear the screen if you are again, stacking enough +Melee Skill and are using a high-armour shield. Shield Warrior Builds are STRONG in Dawn of the Hunt | Path of Exile 2 Lexd 2025-04-09 | Warriors received a handful of buffs (and one big nerf) to their shields skills. Shield Charge, Resonating Shield, and Shield Wall have seen buffs in their damage numbers, and we see a new high-stun buildup Shield Bash ability that you can perform after blocking an attack with Raise Shield (though currently there is some bugginess in the game where boss's will often just, ignore the heavy stun inflicted when using this ability and attack you from an invisible location. Really weird).Magma Barrier was hit hard with the nerf bat unfortunately; this invalidates my previous build as far as its one-shotting Pinnacle boss potential, but apparently the skill + Trampletoes is still a legit way to grind maps. They also buffed Magma Barrier's armour scaling, which is helping it perform much better in the early game.Overall Warriors have felt pretty good with this update, and I am hype to come up with some more endgame builds once I get there. As a Warrior main myself, I was super interested to see what they had in store for us, and I gotta say, I'm super excited about it.I always love making Fire-themed Warrior builds in Path of Exile 2, and this Class Ascendancy has a branch dedicated to just that with Heat of the Forge and Against the Anvil (Temper Weapon).There are also some interesting Elemental Resistance nodes in this Ascendancy, as well as a Minion-based branch with Living Weapon. Many of you have been asking for part two so, here it is.Overall, it has once again been pretty smooth sailing other than that Mighty Silverfist fiasco, alongside some scary Rares while mapping. Still not dead yet, and am very pleased with how this Warrior build has performed in the HCSSF league.We're still relying heavily on Boneshatter to clear groups, but with some AoE passive skill nodes and some better support gems, it is clearing them with no problems, and quickly thanks to Molten Blast being able to prime almost everything for stun in one use (aside from Rares and Bosses).Hammer of the Gods now replaced Perfect Strike as our main boss-killer, though Perfect Strike is still the go-to when Hammer of the Gods is on cooldown. A lot of you have been asking me for a Warrior leveling build on my Magma Barrier and I figure this would be a good opportunity to do so, though tbh you will -not- get Magma Barrier to hit super hard in the early game; it's mostly used to prime groups for a Boneshatter, but it is great at doing that.Other than that, you're using Mace Strike and Perfect Strike for a lot of your damage on bosses, as well as Infernal Cry to empower both (but obviously prioritize Perfect Strike). I think the two biggest roadblocks for a run like this is in Act II, where you have to fight the Act II boss: Jamanra the Abomination, and run the Trial of Sekhemas. Herald of Ash is NOT Good... So Why Do They Say It Is? | Warrior Leveling Builds | Path of Exile 2 Lexd 2025-02-19 | I feel like there's some weird conspiracy around Herald of Ash, where a ton of creators are trying to sell us on the effectiveness on this ability in their Warrior builds and Warrior leveling guides, but avoid providing any evidence that Herald of Ash is as good as they say it is. From my experience, Herald of Ash is honestly pretty terrible, and it's actually completely bugged (its tooltip says it inflicts the "Ignite" ailment, but it does not).The only time Herald of Ash would be useful is if some powerful, low AoE but high damage ability could inflict that Overkill burn on a bunch of mobs, but Herald of Ash's AoE is also so piss-poor that you're better off using something else. I experimented with this in some endgame maps using a juiced-up Perfect Strike, but clearing maps with that ability is super inefficient and a total slog.Boneshatter's shockwave outranges Herald of Ash's AoE by a pretty big margin, so it's pretty useless for leveling, and in the endgame you have all of these massive, heavy-hitting AoE builds that take up your entire screen that Herald of Ash is again, putting in no work.So why are so many content creator's just straight up saying it is amazing with zero evidence? I guess it might be due to a desire to crank out half-baked build content with almost no testing or confirmation, which is pretty lame tbh. (OLD) The STRONGEST Warrior Build: Magma Barrier + Trampletoes | Path of Exile 2 Lexd 2025-02-13 | CURRENT BUILD VIDEO: youtube.com/watch?v=Kr-nDHwHAZ0Alright, I may be a little late to this party but after discovering that Magma Barrier scales insanely well with Skill Gem level, I decided to try and get a big boost to +melee skills on all of the gear I could afford and saw some crazy returns. After about 32ish Skill Gem level, you'll start seeing some crazy numbers gained each time you rank up from there.Other than that, another huge addition to this build is thanks to @TheDoppelganker, bringing to my attention the crazy screen-clearing ability of the Trampletoes boots. The synergy between this pair of boot's effect and the Shield Wall skill also let's us deal so much damage, enough to one-shot some of the toughest pinnacle bosses in the game (e.g. Arbiter of Ash, Xesht, etc.). BUILD UPDATE (OLD): Magma Barrier is still OP | Avatar of Fire Warrior Build | Path of Exile 2 Lexd 2025-02-02 | CURREN VERSION OF BUILD: youtube.com/watch?v=-K9eP9AhaRoMagma Barrier continues to be one of the best ways for Warriors to clear Maps since it is so fast and can hit in a big AoE (with the right passive skill tree nodes). Honestly, the damage is a little wild; might try to see how I can push this even further. If your shield-stagger meter starts getting filled up you have the option to Leap Slam + Bone Shatter a few groups to let it empty, if you don't want to stop clearing.Hammer of the Gods is now a legit boss-killer with my second weapon set, pushing hard into Ignite damage which makes it capable of one-shotting many bosses, as long as you cast Flammability beforehand. Magma Barrier + Armour Explosion is STRONG? It's not the BEST screen-clearing combo by any means, but it's definitely got some potential.I also love the idea of Avatar of Fire, being a melee-focused Warrior that somehow deals nothing but Fire damage was fun to me and seemed like an easy way to bypass armor right off the bat. I realize there may be some weird anti-synergy running Armour Break with Fire damage, but it's really about that Armour Explosion + Magma Barrier combo. The BEST Storm Build for Invasions and NG+! | RL150 Strength Build | Elden Ring DLC Lexd 2024-08-10 | I've been playing (breezing) through NG+ with this Storm Knight build I put together, and it's been trivializing my second playthrough of the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Most of the storm abilities are simply Ashes of War, such as: Storm Blade, Storm Assault, Storm Caller, Zamor Ice Storm, Horn Calling: Storm, etc. In this video I go over the effectiveness of each one in PvP and PvE with all the testing I've done, as well as stats, gear, talisman, physicks, etc.There are also two spells that get this boost: Zamor Ice Storm (sorcery) and Divine Beast Tornado (incantation). The PERFECT Greatsword of Solitude Build for PvP + PvE | RL150 Strength Build | Elden Ring DLC Lexd 2024-07-26 | I promised you my updated Greatsword of Solitude build and here it is! It is significantly different than the first video, really leaning into supporting the weapon with different ranged options like the Pulley Crossbow and Bone Bow, but also just boosting up the damage of its two-handed guard counters with Frostbite, the Curved Sword Talisman + Two-Handed Sword Talisman, Flame Grant Me Strength, etc. I've also included the Buckler as a parry option since you won't be able to guard counter EVERY boss combo in the game, but those are sometimes parryable so I wanted to try and cover any obvious weaknesses.This is definitely a tried and true, tested and optimized version of the build. I consider it "perfect" because, if I wanted to use the Greatsword of Solitude and nothing else, this is the build I'd run and I wouldn't consider changing a single thing. To everyone that thinks Consort Radahn is too hard... | Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Lexd 2024-07-18 | Since Radahn, Consort of Miquella is likely the true LAST boss of Elden Ring, I don't think it's unreasonable for them to be super difficult. However, I saw a ton of complaining about the boss before I got here, and maybe that influenced my attitude a bit since I was expecting a sour experience, but it was really SUPER FUN to me. Yes I know my Deflecting Hardtear build played a role here, but I've seen plenty of other builds beating this boss in creative ways, so I completely disagree that you have to RESPEC your character to actually beat the boss. Just get gud/try new things, e.g. perhaps lighten your armor for a light roll, try the Fine Crucible Feather Talisman backstep i-frames into rolling-i-frames to avoid the criss-cross attack, switch up talismans + consumables for some holy resist in phase two, etc. There are PLENTY of options in the game to deal with the fight, it's just up to you to figure it out. I LOVE the Radahn, Consort of Miquella fight! | Greatsword of Solitude + Deflecting Hardtear Build Lexd 2024-07-17 | So I heard a lot of complaints about the Radahn, Consort of Miquella bossfight before I got here, but I have to say... I really enjoyed this fight overall, probably my favorite of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. I think the one legitimate complaint I've seen is performance issues during the second phase, which is fair as the MIquella nuke definitely tanks my FPS everytime it goes off lol (my poor, poor GPU D:).Other than that, super enjoyable. The Greatsword of Solitude build I've been running this whole time seemed pretty effective against Consort Radahn, especially with the Deflecting Hardtear which, admittedly, probably hard carried me in this fight. Maybe that's what made it so enjoyable to me; it felt like I was playing Sekiro FOR REAL again tbh. I know he's susceptible to Bleed and Frost but Radahn is so aggressive I found it difficult to pull shots off with the Pulley Crossbow and reload, or at least the shots would be very far spaced out due to his crazy moveset so the buildup didn't feel as great.Anyways, zero salt during this whole process, was Rune level 150 and Scadu level 18, and I loved loved loved the fight. Romina Saint of the Bud (1st try!) | Greatsword of Solitude + Pulley Crossbow Build | Elden Ring DLC Lexd 2024-07-16 | Romina, Saint of the Bud honestly felt like such a fair fight, so much so that I was also able to take her down on the first attempt. The whole kit of this build played a role here; Greatsword of Solitude for big melee damage, Pulley Crossbow for easy blood loss procs, and some guard counters for chonking her health down and staggering. Her "version" of Scarlet Rot also seems not as terrible as Malenia's and others you run into in the base game, so honestly even when I got rotted it wasn't very stressful. Metyr, Mother of Fingers Bossfight (1st try!) | Greatsword of Solitude + Pulley Crossbow Build Lexd 2024-07-15 | Metyr, Mother of Fingers definitely felt like there was more value placed on the spectacle rather than the difficulty of the fight, which I am totally fine with. This build seemed super strong against her; the Pulley Crossbow was able to easily proc Blood Loss from a distance, but also was able to Frostbite pretty quickly before switching to melee and decimating with guard counters when possible (Deflecting Hardtear is still SO good here). Was not sure how to dodge the black hole laser so I pretty much just ate that whole attack but hey, still took her down on the first attempt. Overall super fun, if not the most difficult! Messmer the Impaler Bossfight | Greatsword of Solitude + Deflecting Hardtear Build | Elden Ring DLC Lexd 2024-07-12 | Alright, I don't know why I got so salty because I've seen a lot of people get stuck on Messmer the Impaler for much longer than I was (I think it was because I had a few VERY close attempts before the winning one). Either way, Messmer is so aggressive that it was very hard to make use of the Pulley Crossbow, so I went all-in on the Greatsword of Solitude guard counters with the Deflecting Hardtear. The successful attempt is a shoddier one, but we still got there.
