Because of hardware limitations we are adding an option on the copilot clipboard so you can select if you want the realism or not and it will save that option when you save a flight. Or just enable the option if you load a fresh flight. The reason for the option is that if you use a gear lever on hardware like a Honeycomb or Saitek unit then the mouse control for the lever will no longer work. So for those users who prefer to fly with unrealistic aircraft and just use hardware to lower and raise gear can do so. Now you have the choice to save a setting that disables the hardware axis gear lever and use our realistic code. About the system:The gear/flaps hydraulic system has their own valve that needs to be open to allow gear or flaps movement. When the valve(s) are closed the gear or flaps can remain in the position last set. So to set the position you must hold the gear lever in the up or down position. Once fully retracted or extended or you have the desired flaps position you can let go of the handle as it springs back to the center position thus closing that valve.If there is a left engine failure or a pump failure the hydraulic pressure will be lost. So you must place the gear lever in the up or down position and use the lock thumb latches to keep the lever in place when you use the emergency pump handle. The lock is there so the pilot can have 1 hand free while using the pump lever. Once the gear in in place you must unlock the gear lever otherwise there is no flow through the valves and unreliable operation occurs.The hydraulic pressure gauge will display as follows:100 psi when valve open and gear or flaps in transition.0 psi when valve open and gear or flaps are fully extended or retracted.950 psi backpressure when valve is closed.http://flysimware.com/website

3DS MAX DOOR CHAIN BONES ANIMATION USING IK LIMBS Flysimware 2020-10-19 | Over the years i have improved my method to animate a cable or chain for an aircraft door. Using Ik Limbs saves a ton of work as you can animate these in only with a few keys. Then once happy you convert the bones to animated keys giving you smooth animation. Flysimware 2020-08-13 | http://flysimware.com/websiteI notice a lot of developers want to know if we can cut a new edge lines horizontal or vertical to the world alignment. And the answer is no using the cut tool alone. But there are a few tricks and methods to getting a straight cut or to match the nearest edge line. I made a quick video you can keep to remind you of what can be done. First i use the swift loop and then holding CTRL + ALT while the line is selected and swift loop is still enabled you can drag the line to match the shape to the nearest edge line. Or you can simply select the edge and have edge constraints enabled and then drag it to the edge to match and then drag it back. Next i show how to use the quick slice. You can get vertical and horizontal or angle cuts from this tool. But by default is cuts through the entire object including the back side. I show that if you select only selected faces/polygons then the quick slice is limited to those faces. This will help quickly making straight cuts where you want them. Last i show using the cut tool and by hovering over vertex it will auto start or end there. As before you can make a manual cut then use the constraint to borrow the nearest edge shape. Hope this helps you quickly make cuts where and how you want them.
