Noticed a few of these lately so wanted to give it a try.
I tend to draw more than animate as of late, not cause I don't want to, but it is time consuming, and I work full time. So though I would give this a try on my channel with some of my Art. This is more a test to see how it works. #shorts
Anyhow, here's an animation I did a while back of my character Tal unleashing her inner demon. #Shorts

Synopsis:
Burr is a curious little creature who loves to cling onto anyone it can get close to, however due to its nature as a burr, it is torn away and rejected by all it comes in contact with. In the end will it manage to find another it can bond to?
------------------------------
Burr was created as my final Thesis film at the Sheridan Animation Program in 2021. I had some fun screening it at a few film festivals, and now that that’s over I’ve decided to finally upload it.
For this film I wanted to try something different from what I normally do and experimented with realistic looking assets, both digitally painted and taken from photographs. I wanted it to also look simplistic in execution, taking reference from paper cut out animations rather than hand drawn. As for the story and characters, I wanted to make the type of world that could be found in a child’s imagination.
The overall idea came from a trait I had as a child to take inanimate objects and pretend they were living characters. I would take pens, pencils, erasers, and rulers out of my desk, and play out imaginary adventures with them. I realized that years later, that was pretty much what I did as an animator and wanted to pay homage to it. While thinking of an idea for the film, I found Burr plants all around my college and decided to use the same concept of imagining what it would do if it was a living creature.
(I also enjoyed getting them stuck on me running through fields as a kid and wanted to revisit that childhood memory)
Originally the story focused on a variety of imaginary creatures found in nature and created from a child’s imagination, from Acorn Rats to living Maple tree Spinners, but in order to narrow the scope of the story, Burr became the primary focus. It would be cool to come back and explore more of this world sometime in the future.
The film is completed, so it will be uploaded for sure, but at the moment I wanted to have some fun submitting to a few film festivals before I make it public on the internet. I have never gone that route before and wanted to give it a try. For now, have this little snippet.
It has been a while since I actually created a full animated film and feels good to actually make something again.

I did do some storyboarding, rigging on secondary characters, and rough layouts, but for the most part everything I did in these clips is mostly character animation. My team worked hard on the other assets (final layouts, design, effects, compositing, colour, ect) and I do not wish to take credit for those.
Opening title animation was an early rig test I did that I just felt like popping in. XD

Some parts are repeated from previous videos
Decided to add some production art at the end, not to pad it out or anything, but to really show just how much work has to go into these kind of things. Non-artist/non-animators usually have a difficult time understanding just how much planning has to go into every little thing. Even something only a few seconds in length. So felt like sharing some of that.

Muzzle lip sync and Beak lip sync. Two projects animated in one part. Assignment done for school.
No idea what the audio is from but was provided it in class to do this assignment. Two characters talking and reacting to one another.
Going to try something a little different here. Uploading one of my storyboards I did during the school year, or rather, the beat boards for the storyboards.
Just playing around seeing what I can do with this. I'm not really much of a storyboard artist, despite the fact I like telling stories. My area is more in the movement of things.
So here's a story we had to make that followed a soundtrack we were given in class. I completely changed the soundtrack here for something completely different.
Story is pretty much, the box is empty and needs to be full, so it tries to find random object to fill it, later finding out what it can really do to feel full.

School assignment in which we had to make a 2d rig walk in 3/4 view....towards the camera. Very....VERY HARD TO DO! Especially with the equivalent of a 2d, flat surfaced, puppet! Yes it is short, but this is also like 10 or more hours of my life making this thing move! Don't even get me started on the layers that make up his shoulder plates. Like...4 of them and several clipping masks...but still.

He REALLY does not like Gleap.
Lift and toss rig animation done in Toon Boom Harmony for school. Like any animation, this took much longer to make than it looks.
Dumb flash animation I made 2 years ago, uploading it for fun. I know nothing about fencing.
2d rig of my character Dr. Needleface, a character from my Scribble Squad series and Gleap's Rival.
Gleap (protagonist) is the green guy on the screen, sitting next to 3rd in commander, Knork. In the foreground is Needlesface's team consisting of the Ninja Bitrab (Same species as Knork, which resemble bits of rab-bits), and "Commander" Deadface.
Created for a school assignment worth 60% of my final grade, so, i better pass....else...oh boy. Assignment involved creating a 10 second or more scene, lip syncing an audio clip from a source, a drawn foreground/mid ground/background, parallax camera scrolling, character having a motivated turn, and same character running out of the room.
Voice clip from Star Wars: A New Hope.
(disney please don't sue, this is for school so i can do what you guys do)
Muzzle lip sync assignment done for school. This is only the first half, the rest will be done with the second part of the assignment.
Audio from Muppet Treasure Island.
Comment, like, sub, dance, do whatever, just have fun.

Marine animal animation created for school.
video I made last November when my school went on a 5 week strike that messed everything up.
Sheridan College year 1 animation. Nothing special, it's a book!
The very first animation assignment I had in first year of animation schoolz. NOTHING TOO EXCITING, SORRY.
All done on paper, was harder than it looks compared to digital.
That being if you positioned a frame in the wrong spot, unlike digital you couldn't just move a few frames over, you pretty much had to clean up everything following the mistake, else it could look like its changing speeds at one particular part. That could mean a few hundred drawings, such as the case I had with the bowling ball.
One of the first assignments I had to do for school in first year animation. Simple pendulum animation. Done traditionally on paper.
The big budget Hollywood Action movie is finally here! Flour sack animation I had to do for school. I decided to have some fun with it.
