Wild bird attacks hunter MiWilderness 2019-11-19 | This ruffed grouse kept attacking the back of my legs as I walked through the woods to my hunting spot. It followed me about a quarter mile into the woods. Once I got to the hunting spot I thought it might be hungry so I tried to feed it but it didn't want anything to eat.I thought it might be cold so I tried to let it perch on my arm to get its feet out of the cold snow but it attacked my arm. This wild ruffed grouse stayed with me for the entire hunting trip, about 5 hours, until a half hour before sunset and it slowly walked off through the woods nibbling at the Wintergreen, blueberry and oak buds until it drifted out of sight.
