A million Miles ~ Heart jeeprzkreeprz 2013-10-20 | Around 2,400 snapshots of our road trip from North Dakota to Seattle, Washington, and back. Show starts just as we were getting into Glacier National Park area. Then they go from Cascades National Park and open areas....finally headed into Yellowstone and out Bear Tooth Highway. The results weren't quite like I expected as there weren't too many straight ways to capture, but I was threatened that if I didn't make a video after taking all of the snapshots, my life would be in danger ~ so here it is. No Regrets ~ Tom Rush jeeprzkreeprz 2012-08-12 | I first heard this song on "The Wonderboys" soundtrack. To me, this is one of the saddest songs I've heard. Tom sings it with true sadness. My favorite line is "for far too long I've had nothing new to show to you." Sometimes it is just time to say Good-bye and go separate ways. Picture was taken in February, 2012, during a beautiful hoarfrost in North Dakota. Song was taken from the above soundtrack; which is, in my opinion, one of the best soundtracks out there.
Montana ~ Wyoming 2010 jeeprzkreeprz 2012-06-03 | One reason why I make these videos is that I capture pictures from a particular area and attach it to a song that I felt at the time. I compile each of the songs and make a vacation DVD Soundtrack where I can sit back and listen to some of my favorite songs and look through the album. Sometimes I can't fit all of the pictures in one song, so I will make a compilation show containing a few songs with other pics that didn't quite make it in a show or I want to allow a little more viewing time. This is one of those compilations. It was only appropriate to choose two songs from "The Lion King" as it his favorite movie of all time and probably always will be! While in Kindergarten, they each made a time capsule. Fleet Foxes and MN State Parks jeeprzkreeprz 2011-11-29 | I love Minnesota...My home state. Took a trip along the North Shore in Minnesota the summer of 2011. The same week the State Parks reopened for the MN shutdown! Whew!! Visited most of the parks along the way from Duluth to Grand Portage. Here are some pics I had taken along with a few songs from the Fleet Foxes from their album "Helplessness Blues." The first song is 'The Cascades" and the second is "Montezuma."

Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park jeeprzkreeprz 2011-06-15 | During our trip to Montana, we stopped in and visited the Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park near Cardwell. I think it was about $5/person to visit, very reasonable. There is a 3/4 mile hike to get to the entrance. You can start earlier than your group if need be. The sights from above are worth the climb alone!! The tour lasted about 1 1/2 hours and went at a good pace. I hung near the back end so I could linger around and take pictures so I didn't always hear what the guide was saying, but he was very good about getting everybody together before he started talking. There was plenty of space, not tight fitting like some caverns. Cool inside ~ felt good on a hot day. The drive to the park was beautiful also. The two songs in the video are Caverna Magica and Mandragora. Very fitting for this show. To get the full effect of the music, a nice pair of headphones/ear buds will really bring things to life :)
Big Stone Wildlife Refuge jeeprzkreeprz 2011-04-26 | I came across this video while cleaning out my hard drive. It was recorded in Aug 2010. Every time I go back home, I make it a point to drive through the Big Stone Wildlife Refuge that is located in Minnesota between Ortonville and Odessa (at the bottom of the bump on western side of the state). The auto tour is about 6 miles long. It may be nothing special to some people, but it is to me for at least 3 reasons. I have edited a little to keep it under 10 min. Soundtrack is provided by Eric Lindell which I happened to be listening to at the time. If you don't like it, it doesn't matter ~ because the driver gets to choose :)

Beautiful frosty morning on 12/7/2010. I took some pictures in the morning and again at noon. Everything looked completely different after the sky cleared and turned a gorgeous winter blue. All of the photos were taken the same day, they were not edited. I use the 'auto' setting on my Olympus Pen. Originally Collective Soul's song "December" was the audio for this song, but it is owned by WMG and they block it. (I realized while uploading that I forgot to change 'christmastime' into two words instead of one at the end of the vid ~ oopsie!)

His stage name in a combination of his Grandpa Joe's name and the EKO guitar that he uses to write all of his songs. He's done a lot of side work, including working with Madonna. Will have to visit again sometime. It was a beautiful day all day. Started to cloud up and started pouring rain just as we were headed to Mammoth Hot Springs. We exited out the North exit, but couldn't take pictures of the signs due to the heavy rain. The song is Soulshine by Gov't Mule. The album is 'The Deep End Volume 1'.

Then we traveled from Kalispell to Butte. Visited Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park in Cardwell, MT, and then headed down Gallatin Canyon on our way to Yellowstone. Into the Great Wide Open ~ Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers jeeprzkreeprz 2010-08-24 | Many people, myself included, say there is nothing to see in North Dakota. That may be true in some areas some of the time. During the summer when the fields are about ready for harvesting, it can be very beautiful. You just have to open your eyes and look. These pictures were taken from the car while driving on I-94 heading west to Montana, and a few on our return. Sunrise in Bismarck on our way there and the sunset on our way back home. 5 or so pictures are from the Painted Canyon Overlook at Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Song is Tom Petty's 'Into the Great Wide Open' which definitely describes North Dakota :)
Wish you were Here ~ Glacier National Park jeeprzkreeprz 2010-08-24 | After visiting Many Glacier, we traveled on the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park in August, 2010. It was a an unforgettable experience. Had some rain and there was some road construction going on, but there was beauty everywhere. Must go back again someday. Wish you were here is one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs. It is from the Echoes album.

We hopped on the Parkway in Asheville, North Carolina. It was cloudy that day and we ran into some rain on the way down, but it didn't matter. It was all very beautiful. The rain just brightened everything up. It was a good day! I envy anybody who lives close enough to enjoy them on a regular basis. Smoky Mountain Views jeeprzkreeprz 2010-06-13 | Some video footage of the Smoky Mountains in August 2009. Jumped onto Blue Ridge Parkway at Asheville, North Carolina after a wonderful breakfast at the Waffle House. Robin doing a little Spring Cleaning jeeprzkreeprz 2010-04-29 | I set up the flip camera on the table outside as soon as I set up the fountain for the season. Within 15 minutes, the Robin shows up. Some mornings there will be one in the fountain and 2 standing in line on the deck rail. The chimes in the background are tuned and that is why the sound seems to carry like church bells.

Lets play ball jeeprzkreeprz 2010-02-24 | Our miniature dachshund, Maddie, loves the tennis ball. If she's not playing with it, she's sleeping with it. We have at least 10 scattered throughout the house at all times. She would play ball all day if we could. We cut her playtime off at 10:00 pm. Then she'll cover the ball with a blanket or pillow, shake it up, and then chases after the ball once it flies free.
Rock City Gardens ~ Lookout Mountain jeeprzkreeprz 2010-02-14 | A slideshow of our trip to Rock City Gardens at Lookout Mountain, GA, near Chattanooga, TN. We left St. Louis, Missouri, that morning and arrived at Rock City just before they stopped selling tickets for the day. We were lucky enough to be able to walk through the enchanted trail and arrive at Lover's Leap just before the sun started to set. It was beautiful. It was dark by the time we headed back on the road. There are a few shots that came from my sister's collection also. The views through the rainbow hall windows were hers also. The song is titled "Songbird" by Vicci Martinez off of her album "From the Outside in".
Gateway Arch, St. Louis, Missouri jeeprzkreeprz 2010-02-08 | A slideshow of our visit to the Arch in 2009. We were on time crunch so we had to make a quick stop at the Museum of the Westward Expansion. It was great. We went to the riverfront and we could hear jazz music coming from the Gateway Arch Riverboat Cruise building. That is where the inspiration for the music for this video came from. Oliver Sain moved to St. Louis in 1959 and opened "Archway Studio" in 1966. The song is "Just a Lonely Man" and can be found on his "St. Louis Breakdown" album. The up-view shots and the panoramic view from the top of the arch were taken by my sister.
