After Hurricanes Irma and Maria, two back to back category 5 storms that annihilated the British Virgin Islands, we rescued 78 puppies and 12 kittens. From there, the work expanded to rescuing horses out of kill pens, off racetracks where they had been left to die, and out of situations of starvation and abandonment.We brought them in. We rehabilitated them.
