However, 1 or 2 months later I decided to give the platform a try since I was in the middle of mixing vocals for a song in my newest release. There are tons of plugins that waves has I have not been able to use because I did not own them and I have a bit of a love, hate relationship with music production tools that require a monthly payment. On one end I enjoy the access at a lower rate. On the other end I do not enjoy the fact that I am essentially renting a music tool I will never own after making so many payments. With this in mind I decided to bite the bullet anyway and take a look at what Creative Access had to offer, after all it does technically seem to be the best and most vast plugin bundle on earth now for mixing and mastering. I am 100% glad perpetual was brought back and now that I have the choice to choose between the 2 I figured one month to try isn't such a bad idea. Updating Waves plugins has always come at a cost annually (which makes no sense to me) but what made this case especially horrible is the fact that the cost to update my plugins costed more than the subscription to the platform did. Plugins I already owned became unusable (I couldn't open them) suddenly because they "needed an update" and as a result I was forced into the "demo" mode of the plugins. Not a very nice thing to experience as you're editing audio for your next project.

I have had a hard time accepting that I'm not fully in control of the emotions I feel and speaking out about it helps me to accept that. I also know that had I not heard the stories of other musicians, producers, and singers like myself living with bipolar disorder, I don't think I'd have ever even gone to get my mental health checked on. So my hope is also that in me speaking up, someone else may be helped out of their own dire situation. Therapy has quite literally changed my life. Taking care of my mental health in the best ways I know I can has done wonders for me. I know I am not perfect (nor will I ever be) but I can say that with this new diagnosis, I feel at least little more confident taking on my life head on. I'll be speaking more about this I'm sure in future videos.
