I left my hostel in Kuala Lumpur at 4am, thinking Iโd have time to spareโbut the shopping centre was locked, and I couldnโt find the train station entrance in the dark. ๐ฉ Thankfully, the first flight to Muscat had two empty seats next to me, so I could stretch out and rest. But of course, things didnโt go smoothly for longโฆWe landed 30 minutes late, and I had to sprint to catch my connecting flight to Istanbul. By the time I arrived, I was exhausted and grumpyโand it only got worse! The airport bus dropped me way too far from my hostel, my downloaded maps didnโt work, and I had no internet. In desperation, I flagged down a taxiโฆ only to get totally ripped off. But beforehand I had to head to the dentist to have my last wisdom tooth removed. To say I was worried was an understatement but there really was no reason to be concerned as it went really well the X-ray was $15 The Scale and polish was $10 and the extraction including the stitch removal was $40.
