Some scenes were heavily referenced, NOT traced! This is a big disclaimer. I wanted to be really creative about how I could tell the story of these two characters. I didn't want it all to happen in the same time of day, so this is what happened:At dawn, Exemplum and Parable are children and Exemplum has to leave Parable to return to the ocean. He eats a jellyfish. At morning, they are now fully grown up and are healthy and happy together. They are best friends and nothing could ruin their friendship. In the afternoon, we see Exemplum has some feelings for Parable. In the evening, where it's more romantic, Exemplum leaves Parable to make him a special pearl necklace so that he can propose to him. However, when he returns, Parable is missing and he finally finds him. But that Parable isn't the same Parable he knew and loved. Exemplum had chosen the worst time to propose because that very day was the day when Parable lost all senses of emotions and his memories of their friendship has been wiped clear of his head. Parable remembers nothing of Exemplum. Now the Sun is setting and things are getting darker. It's night time now and Exemplum and Parable are now enemies. Exemplum is seen murdering one of Parable's crow friends and Parable is clearly upset. They ended up having to fight each other, but Exemplum's flashbacks of their memories distracted him. When he finally pinned Parable down, he got a flashback to when they were kids and they would play just like this. He ends up sparing Parable with tears flowing down his cheeks....It's morning again, but things aren't good. Their friendship is broken now. Parable is on land communicating with one of his crow friends and Exemplum is in the ocean, upset.cs.mt is an amazing but underrated artist, PLEASE go check them out!
