A three-day top-hat kerneled smoothing has been put on the data to smooth out a bit of the noise.Interesting features:(a) the free drift approximation in summer radically alters the typical length-scale of anomalies - might be physical, might be not(b) the differences in the patterns when we shift from smmr to ssmi and then to ssmi/s(c) coffee-table style rings - what could cause these?
