In order for the process / the future projects to be done a lot sooner I've been after a mocap solution I can use in my flat that's super simple and convenient to actually use. And one that doesn't cost an absolute fortune.I know some folks don't like ads etc, but I do kind of want to help out move.ai in anyway I can as they've been really good to me and the system is really helping with the projects :)I've been fortunate enough to be chatting to the team at move.ai for a while now and they've been super helpful in lending me a few iPhone's to use their system. Halo 3 Remastered Cutscene: Full Circle (SIDE BY SIDE COMPARISON) HaloVFX 2021-02-20 | Support me as an artist here!patreon.com/HaloVFXSo I've been asked by a few people to put up a side-by-side of the originals next to my version of it so thought it'd be interesting to show everyone how closely (or not) I matched to the originals. Cameras should be very close but i couldn't find a way to get their metadata for my cameras, so it's judged by eye.It's near impossible to do a 100% accurate 1:1 replication and just 'upres-ing' the game models, it's just not how this sort of thing works, so personal choices were taken in terms of model / look as i was going after a more 'hyper-real' context, akin to BLURs cinematics. The entire environment was built on top of the in-game scenery so it's a near 1:1 in terms of location and general 'shape' to again, stay as faithful as possible where i could :)It's nothing new, purely just to show how closely i wanted to keep to the originals and stay faithful where I could.
