Therefore, I chose a Harley Davidson Softail FLST with the Evolution engine, because they are very reliable and still have the Harley Davidson character. The Harley Davidson Softail 1998 with one of the last Evolution engines seemed to be the ideal base for my project. So I customized the bike from a tourer to a Frisco style chopper in about 4 months. After 270 hours of work and 18 film sequences, the project was completed. The result is a unique bobber...the result of a huge collaborative project. Den Rahmen im Bereich der Sitzfläche mit Panzertape dick abkleben, damit dieser während der Arbeiten nicht verkratzt wird.2. Das Motorrad mittels eines Gurtes nach unten spannen, so dasses eingefedert ist. Dadurch kann die Höhe des Fenders abgeschätzt werden. Da das Heck, bzw. der Fender anschliessend einfedert, sollte er somit nicht am Reifen streifen. AusreichendPlatz für eine spätere Verkabelung lassen. 3. Tipp: Ich bevorzuge eine Linie zwischen Heckfender und Tankoberkante.Gibt eine saubere Linie. Kann aber jeder halten, wie er es möchte. 4. Die Seitenteile würde ich erst gegen Ende an die Sitzbank schweissen,wenn die endgültige Höhe des Fenders festgelegt ist. Die eingeschweisstenSeitenteile geben dem Heck am Ende die Stabilität. Zur Verstärkung kannauch noch ein abgewinkeltes Blech 3 mm eingeschweisst werden.5. Eckdaten: - Kawasaki VN800 A - 28.000 KM - Baujahr 1995 - Sehr gepflegter Zustand - TÜV 07/2020 Damit die nächsten zwei Jahre die TÜV-Prüfung abgehackt werden kann,wird das Motorrad erst einmal beim TÜV vorgeführt. Auch die verbaute Drossel soll ausgetragen und die volle Leistung von 56 PS wieder im Fahrzeugschein vermerkt werden. Selbstverständlich werden unabhängig davon alle Änderungen am Fahrzeug nach dem Umbau vom TÜV abgenommen und eingetragen. Projektboard: Kurze Vorstellung des Projektboards, welches zur zeitlichen und finanziellen Orientierung dienen soll. Der Inhalt dieses Boards wird im Rahmen der Filmserie immer wieder vorgestellt, damit das ganze Projekt (Umbauschritte, Kosten, Zeit, Partner, Events) für alle Follower nachvollziehbar ist.

The bike isn't finished yet, but I have plannet the final date for mid 2019. So far I have invested about 200 hours in the project and I assume that I will need at least 100 hours again. The plan is to construct an oldschool bike with radial tires and a somewhat unusual front end. The basis is a Harley Davidson, FLSTC, built 1989 with about 28 T miles, which stood around the last 10 years in a pub. The outward appearance was accordingly bad, as you can see on the film. The bike was completely rebuilt, the engine was completely overhauled and the electrics were completely replaced by a new Motogadget unit. Tank, handlebars, sheet metal parts, rims, seat and fork are new parts. Originally a budget of about 10.000 Euro was planned. So far I have exceeded this budget by far. I hope that in the end I will succeed in the bike project or the reconstruction. In a following film I will present the finished bike. Be patient.
