Formed in 1974 in Philadelphia this really underrated band were
the first all black punk band who also predated Bad Brains.
The great BB even cited these guys as early influences of theirs.
In 1978 Pure Hell supported Sid Vicious when he moved
to New York as well as many others of the 70's punk elite before
splitting up in 1979. The band reformed again in 2010 but
unfortunately without original drummer Michael Sanders
aka Spider who died in 2002....RIP.

The Posers (UK) - EP 1978

80s Underground Punk & Thrash 2017-08-03 | Although not quite 80's, I came across this early punk/oi gem by accident on iTunes. There's not a lot of info I could find about The Posers except they formed in 1977 in Bristol England & supported Sham 69 at the Bristol Locarno (now the Carling Academy) in early '78. These six tracks were recorded at GBH Studios in 1978 but only released for the first
time in 2010 by Bristol Archive Records.
