Their song "Night Birds" was even used as a demo song on many Casio keyboards. Much like their contemporaries during the early 1980s, Shakatak applied jazz improvization and harmonies on top of disco grooves during this post-disco / city pop era, along with blending jazz harmonies with other genres.The tracks featured are taken from a concert in Japan at the Nakano Sunplaza Hall in Tokyo. This concert is a true reflection of the spirit of that time.It marks the introduction of new bass player Yoshihiro Naruse 鳴瀬喜博 and drummer Masaaki Hiyama 日山正明 to Casiopea. Their animated and energetic style comes across in the rhythm, tempo and energy of these performances.You can hear guitarist and lead Issei Noro 野呂一生 and keyboardist Minoru Mukaiya 向谷 実 took influences from south american music ("Blue Flame", "Heart Beat"), smooth jazz ("Nostalgia", "Romancing"), pop ("Flush Up"), and funk ("Grand Universe").
