Bloons TD 6 || 2TC - The Blazing Sun & Icicle Impale TheMFM 2025-11-01 | 2TC is an achievement in BTD6 where you're required to complete the CHIMPS gamemode from Rounds 6-100 while only using 2 towers in total.For this completion, I used The Blazing Sun - fifth tier upgrade of the top path Desperado, and Icicle Impale - fifth tier upgrade of the bottom path Ice Monkey.Cue the yapping...The new update, v51, introduced a new map: Three Mines 'Round; and a new Paragon: the Ballistic Obliteration Missile Bunker, or B.O.M.B. for short. However, I wasn't really interested in these additions. Instead, the balance changes caught my attention: The Blazing Sun's damage type was changed from Sharp to Normal, meaning that it can now directly pop Lead and Frozen bloons... you'll see how useful this is in a 2TC where its partner is an Ice Monkey!This video is not actually my initial attempt at the combo; it is instead a rerun that I recorded at @Edgevs.Bloons's request (he's a helper for BTD6 Index and a very cool person [I was definitely NOT paid to say that]). I had footage of the entire run - from round 6 to 100 - but I decided that it'd be fun to upload a consolidated version of the video here, so that's what you're watching right now!I'm only showcasing the difficult rounds I had to face; they are as follows:37 - You'd put yourself at a disadvantage by purchasing Twin Sixes and/or Icicles before this round (in fact, you don't need to upgrade further than Big Iron until Icicle Impale is bought). Desperado is set to Strong. Icicles is bought when the camo White bloons spawn, and set to Close so the icicles that grow on other bloons can pop the camos (Ice Monkey cannot damage them otherwise).51 - Similar to 37 in that Icicles must pop camo Whites indirectly, but it is more difficult because there is a chance of popping camo Ceramics into many more Whites that the tower cannot handle.53 - This one was only hard because I wanted to continue avoiding Twin Sixes (for an earlier purchase of Icicle Impale, as it can easily deal with camo Whites). Icicles was set to Strong for a while to pop the three MOABs that spawned.95 - I forgot to mention this, but Icicle Impale has to pop EVERY camo in this challenge, including the DDTs... 30 of them spawn here, along with a long line of fortified MOABs. Beating this round depends entirely on when Impale hits the first DDT - too late and it's game over.98 - Many combinations struggle to take this down, as it's the densest round in standard CHIMPS. This combo in particular can put up a fair fight, though, with this simple trick: Impale set to Close until Ceramics enter its range for the last time, then First. The Blazing Sun remains on First the entire time.99 - The first and only instance of fortified DDTs, nine of them to be exact. They spawn after a few seconds of MOABs. Impale is set to Last until every DDT is slowed, then Strong until Ceramics enter its range one last time (just like 98).
