Part of the new Festival of The Arts at Epcot is the Disney on Broadway concert series. A collaboration with Disney Theatrical Productions brings an exciting new showcase of favorite music and Broadway taken.

Opening the Festival of the Arts Disney on Broadway series was Ashley Brown and Josh Strickland. Songs performed during the concert were from hit Disney movies such as Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Mary Poppins, Frozen, and The Little Mermaid.

The full 2017 Disney on Broadway concert series for the new Festival of the Arts is:

January 13-16 and 20-23: Ashley Brown and Josh Strickland

The FINAL Dive at Typhoon Lagoons Shark Reef at Walt Disney World 2016

TemporaryTourist 2016-10-05 | Typhoon Lagoon's Shark Reef at Walt Disney World officially closed on October 3, 2016 to make way for a new attraction at the water park called Miss Fortune Falls.

I took my last dive at the Shark Reef, which also was my first time. With our family having smaller children, taking time to make the snorkel dive didn't seem to work out well for us in the past. Now that the kids are a bit older and can take care of themselves a bit better with only on parent, I was able to slip away and take on the Shark Reef.

Disney World provided the mask, snorkel, and life preserver to make the dive at Shark Reef. It was all free of charge and wasn't an additional cost to anyone.

The Shark Reef rules were really simple: don't kick your feet and simply make your way from one end to the other.

I found a few surprising things on my dive: I didn't expect the water to be so cold. The CM said they keep the water (it's salt water to mimic the conditions of the ocean) between 55 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit. The water in the other parts of Typhoon Lagoon during the summer and fall are closer to 85 degrees, so it's a HUGE difference! The second thing I didn't expect in the Shark Reef was seeing so few sharks. I think I saw 3 different sharks, and they were smaller. I suppose it makes sense to not have bigger sharks swimming with so many people...I was just expecting to see bigger ones, I guess.

The Kiss Goodnight at The Magic Kingdom Walt Disney World in 4K 2016

TemporaryTourist 2016-09-19 | The Kiss Goodnight is the Magic Kingdom at Disney World is the closing announcement for the park. This announcement can be heard once the park has officially closed for the evening. The Kiss Goodnight can first be heard as early as 15 minutes after the park close time and repeat every 15 minutes until the majority of park guests have exited the Magic Kingdom.

During The Kiss Goodnight, Cinderella Castle changes colors to the accompanying music. The entire announcement lasts around 3 minutes.

The Kiss Goodnight transcript is as follows:

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, on behalf of everyone here at the Magic Kingdom, we thank you for joining us today for a magic gathering of family, friends, fun, and fantasy. We hope your magical journey with us has created wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.

Walt Disney said that the Magic Kingdom is a world of imagination, hopes, and dreams. In this timeless land of enchantment, magic and make believe are reborn and fairy tales come true. The Magic Kingdom is a place for the young and the young at heart. A special place where when you wish upon a star your dreams can come true.

Until we see you again, have a safe trip home. Thank you, and goodnight."

Mickey Mouse also add his signature saying "so long everybody. See ya real soon!"

It was a beautiful crisp Florida fall night with one of our spectacular sunsets. It was like God was painting the sky just to say he was there watching.

POV of EVACUATION from Frozen Ever After Ride on Opening Day at Walt Disney World Epcot

TemporaryTourist 2016-06-22 | Our first ride on the updated Frozen Ever After ride at Walt Disney World's Epcot theme park went very well...until our ride stoppage over halfway through. We were evacuated from our ride after 15 to 20 minutes of sitting in our boat. The Disney CM's (Cast Members) were incredibly wonderful in getting us off the boat pretty quickly.

We were given complimentary paper FastPass tickets when we were escorted off the ride.

Riders will be propelled up in a head-first, face-down inverted nosedive...and that's just the beginning. Manta at SeaWorld Orlando offers riders who are at least 54" tall an exciting roller coaster ride with 4 inversions traveling as fast at 56 mph and reaching a top height of 140 feet.

All without that piece of equipment standard on lesser coasters: a floor.

Kraken roller coaster at SeaWorld Orlando is an awesome open sided seated coaster. Nestled towards the back of the park, Kraken is themed after a massive mythological underwater beast unleashed from the depths of the sea.

The Kraken climbs to a height of over 150 feet. With 5 inversions, the Kraken is a great way to enjoy a thrilling roller coaster while visiting SeaWorld Orlando theme park.

Riders must be a minimum height of 54 inches in order to ride the Kraken roller coaster at SeaWorld Orlando.

November 1st, 2015 was a soft opening where the lights were being tested and CM's trained to coordinate moving the people through the lights.

This is the last year for the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights as construction will begin in 2016 to make way for the new Star Wars and Toy Story lands coming to Hollywood Studios.

TemporaryTourist 2015-10-15 | The Headless Horseman starts off the Boo To You parade at Disney World Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. The main character from the Disney movie The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr Toad, the lonely rider makes his way from Frontierland to Liberty Square, past Cinderella Castle, down Main Street, and around Town Square. As is his name, he rides only carrying a pumpkin representing his head.

This video was comprised of two recordings taken from Liberty Square and Town Square at Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World.

Every year for a few times each week during September and October, Disney World holds the special Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. During the Halloween party, the much anticipated HalloWishes fireworks show takes place set to spooky music.

The HalloWishes Fireworks show 2015 is hosted by the Haunted Mansion ghost, or your "ghost host". The host invites several classic Disney villains to the fireworks show such as Ursula, Jafar, and Oogie Boogie to provide their own special charm to the Disney World Halloween Fireworks show.

The HalloWishes Fireworks show features fireworks from around and behind Cinderella Castle. The finale to the Disney World Halloween fireworks show 2015 is the 180˚ fireworks explosions from around Magic Kingdom.

Disney Photopass is now Available on the My Disney Experience - MDE App

TemporaryTourist 2015-08-25 | Walt Disney World has now updated the MDE App or My Disney Experience App to allow guests to see their Disney PhotoPass pictures and videos.

Previously, guest would need to see a photo desk at the end of a ride to see their pictures or even wait until they logged into their MyDisneyExperience.com account to see pictures or videos. Now, Disney has updated the MDE app so guests can now see the pictures as soon as they become available on the MDE account. Guest can purchase pictures via the app but only buy purchasing Memory Maker.

Simply updated the MDE app on your smartphone or tablet in order to see your Disney PhotoPass pictures or videos.

Kennedy Space Center Tour 2015 Including Atlantis Exhibit and Rocket Garden - GoPro Version

TemporaryTourist 2015-08-18 | Touring Kennedy Space Center has long been a dream of ours and we finally got the chance recently. We got to see the full rocket garden including the 223 feet long Saturn 1B rocket as well as touring inside the awesome Atlantis exhibit to see the Space Shuttle Atlantis on full display.

After seeing the Kennedy Space Center Atlantis Exhibit, we took the extended bus tour which drove us by the Assembly Building as well as past the large launch pads where the space shuttles launched as well as future flights will launch from as well.

Delta IV Rocket Launch of WGS-7 at Cape Canaveral Florida

TemporaryTourist 2015-07-24 | United Launch Alliance coordinated the Delta IV rocket launch of a WGS-7 satellite on July 23, 2015. The launch took place at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida at 8:07 EDT.

Thanks to the Space Coast Tourism board for hosting a special watch party for the launch.

TemporaryTourist 2015-07-10 | The Mad Tea Cup ride at Magic Kingdom for 2015 is a wonderful attraction for the entire family. Nestled on the edge of Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, the Mad Tea Cup ride is fully covered with fans, giving visitors a great spot for a ride out of the rains and heat.

See if you can spot the mouse popping its head out of the top of the tea cup in the middle of the ride!

EPCOT 2015 4th of July Fireworks Finale at Walt Disney World

TemporaryTourist 2015-07-05 | EPCOT's 2015 4th of July fireworks version were an almost 5 minute finale to its signature show Illuminations, Reflections of Earth. Shot primarily over the World Showcase Lagoon, the fireworks show also highlighted a showing of fireworks over the American Pavilion.

TemporaryTourist 2015-07-04 | Disney World displayed the 2015 360 Fireworks show over Magic Kingdom on July 3rd and July 4th, 2015. This nearly 14 minute long display showcases a full 360 degrees of fireworks giving guests a one of a kind view to celebrate the birthday of America.

This video was recorded from the 14th floor of the Contemporary Resort Hotel.

Osmond Nebraska Q125 Fireworks Finale FULL Show

TemporaryTourist 2015-07-02 | Osmond Nebraska concluded its 125th birthday celebration with an over 20 minuted fireworks finale show at the baseball fields on the east side of town. The fireworks were presented by Big Bang Boom of Norfolk, NE.

Osmond Nebraska, population 870, is located in Pierce County in Northeast Nebraska. Its quasquicentennial birthday (http://www.facebook.com/q125osmond) was called the Q125 celebration and held three days worth of festivities from June 26th through June 28th, 2015.

Big Bang Boom (http://www.bigbangboom.org) is located in nearby Norfolk, NE. Run by Don Wisnieski and his team, Big Bang Boom has presented the annual 4th of July fireworks show at Norfolk's Skyview Lake for several years.

NEW Great Movie Ride 2015 POV Western Scene at Hollywood Studios with new TCM Makeover

TemporaryTourist 2015-06-16 | The Great Movie Ride at Hollywood Studios has completed its makeover for 2015 with the new TCM (Turner Classic Movies) standby queue introduction video as well as an updated exiting video.

The ride itself now features TCM's Robert Osborne giving the majority of the narration with the Disney CM participating as well.

This specific video features the little seen Western takeover scene. Usually, guests are treated to the gangster scene where a mobster ends up taking over the tram, but on certain occasions the western scene is shown where a cowboy (in our case a cowgirl) takes over the tram.

Blue Angels Flyover of Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World

TemporaryTourist 2015-03-19 | The United States Navy's Blue Angels performed a flyover the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World on the morning of March 19, 2015. The world famous Blue Angels were on their way to the Melbourne Air and Space Show in Melbourne, FL and performed two flyovers of Cinderella Castle and the Magic Kingdom.

Six jet F/A-18 Hornets in a Delta Formation flew twice over Main Street and the castle: the first flyover from the south and the second from the north. The second flyover the Blue Angels split apart in dramatic fashion right over Cinderella Castle.

Illuminations Reflections of Earth Globe and Barge Entrance into Epcot World Showcase

TemporaryTourist 2015-03-06 | Here's a video showing the Earth Globe, fire barge, and fireworks boats for the Illuminations Reflections of Earth fireworks show at Epcot World Showcase entering the Showcase Lagoon.

Every day the globe and boats/barges are loaded with fireworks and propane to fuel the fire of the show in the backstage area. A few hours before the show starts, the globe and boats are driven out into the lagoon and set up for the evening's show.
