Comgrow Lightburn Camera Module - Setting it up and calibration! Vintauri 2022-11-26 | Comgrow has released a camera module for use with Lightburn. This module has adapters to attach directly to a Comgrow Z1 or Xtool D1 laser as well as a plate to attach it directly to a sturdy work base. Using a camera with your laser in Lightburn can allow you to precisely align your artwork to items in your work area. However, you need to first get it calibrated and aligned. In this video, I assemble the camera module to the Z1 laser and assemble the Comgrow Large enclosure. I then walk you through the steps in Lightburn to set up and calibrate your camera to provide precise alignment to your work. Atomstack A20 Pro - What can we do with 20 watts of diode laser power?!?! Create oversized wall art on a smaller Diode Laser Vintauri 2022-11-14 | You can create larger items on even a standard 400mm x400mm sized laser. In this video, I show you how I take a wireframe vector file and cut it into three pieces to make a larger wall art piece by gluing it together after it's cut out. Sculpfun S10 Laser - Testing and Review Vintauri 2022-11-04 | Sculpfun sent out the S10 laser for me to check out. This is a 10 watt output diode laser with integrated air assist and linear rail for the X axis for extra stability. I ran some of the typical tests to see how it compares and what I think of this laser for my workshop. Free Laser Material - Dont burn it in the fire pit! Vintauri 2022-10-11 | It's great when we can save money and reuse something that would normally be thrown away. When a larger branch fell from a neighbor's tree I saved the larger piece and cut it into cookies so I could engrave them as decorations or coasters. This was a great way to make some custom gifts without the expense of buying materials. Many trees are trimmed each year so check around your neighborhood and you might find yourself with a stack of free material for your laser as well. Replacing a Co2 Laser Tube | SPT Laser C70 tube into eBay Co2 Laser Vintauri 2021-07-02 | All Co2 laser tubes have a limited lifespan and eventually you will need to replace them. If you bought a generic laser off eBay you may not have any support and will need to do this maintenance yourself. In this video I show you how to remove your old laser tube and install a new one using a replacement tube from SPT Laser. Willy Nillies Eaglet 250 Maiden Flights Vintauri 2020-11-03 | After completing the Willy Nillies Eaglet 250 a warm fall day meant that we had a chance to get out and put a few test flights on the plane before winter set in. My son came along to help take some video and I also used my hat mounted GoPro Hero 8. The first couple hops I had the CG a bit aft and it was acting tail heavy. So we brought it in and shifted the battery forward to tame it down. I find full, uncut flight videos boring so I hope you enjoy this jump cut edit of the flights. I really enjoyed building this plane and am pleased with how it flew today.
Covering a Micro RC Airplane - Willy Nillies Eaglet 250 - Timelapse Vintauri 2020-11-01 | This is a quick edit of a few timelapse videos taken while covering the Eaglet 250 from Willy Nillies. I learned to fly powered RC airplanes on a Carl Goldberg Eagle 63 and eventually did my first solo flight on an Eaglet 50. This build was a trip down nostalgia lane for me to revisit the airframe in micro form and under modern electric power systems. The covering is some leftover Solite white and red I've used on other park flyers. It's ironed on and the heat activates the adhesive on the backside. It also shrinks when heated to form a smooth surface. It's not completely opaque so there is come color bleed through and you can see some of the structure underneath. Producing Kits on a CNC Router and Laser Engraver Vintauri 2020-10-01 | I use my CNC Router and Laser Engraver to produce model aircraft stands that I sell through my Foam-Flite website. The CNC Router cuts out the parts from 3/8" Baltic Birch Plywood, then the laser engraves them with my logo. This is a nice side hustle for me and while the CNC Router does its work I can be cutting the sheets to size on my table saw. No voice over or explanation, just a compilation of the process from a blank sheet to a finished kit bagged and ready to ship.
