There are a great many journeys that my husband and I have weathered through, that we felt incredibly unprepared for. We had rose coloured glasses on, full of lofty expectation. As much as folks talked about how beautiful marriage was, very few got into the nitty gritty with us about the struggles that would come, too. About the tools we would need in order to make the marriage beautiful.Everyone's struggles are going to be different in many ways, depending on upbringing, trauma, belief systems, etc. The truth of what is needed to overcome those struggles stays the same:- Jesus at the centre. Not your spouse. They can not be your Jesus. - Daily devotionals and prayer time are a non-negotiable. You have to be in the word and in the presence together. Stay unified in the spirit. Cover one another with the word and prayer. No greater gift you could give each other.-Love must be your highest goal. Regardless of your fleeting emotions, day to day.- Righteousness over right-ness. Submit to one another in love and humility, always seeking to understand.- Forgive quick, repent even quicker.- Your spouse is not your source of happiness, and you will live in constant disappoint if you put that unrealistic expectation on them.- Marriage will refine you (if you let it) more than any other relationship.- Selfless service. If you both desire to serve one another first, everyone's needs will be met. On a walk with the Lord and with my dog Judah, The Spirit of Christ began to illuminate my heart with clear discernment about the season and time we are living in.This meditation and prophetic exhortation is in accordance with His own testimony and the written Word of God. This is the hour we have been in since His appearing, and no one knows the exact time of the Lord's coming, but He DOES tell us to recognize the signs of the times and to be vigilant and ready. My hope is that this word would not just encourage the body of christ to "lift your eyes, the fields are white for harvest" and to pray for the Lord of the harvest to send out more harvesters in this generation which is so hungry and ready for God, but that those who the Father has been drawing by His own Spirit would come across this video, have the TRUTH of the testimony of Jesus Christ shine in their hearts, that they would finally come to believe in the Son of God and be saved. Please pray with me that this video itself would be a tool the Lord can use to reach those who are so hungry for the truth and ready to hear the answer to the questions they have been asking about eternity, about the meaning of their lives, and about the purpose of this creation and the times we are living in. Our eating, drinking, comings and goings, our work, our interactions, etc. What GOD chooses to do with our submission to Him, is UP to Him. He is not required to reveal some grandiose purpose for us, beyond what he's already made plain in His word. Everyone God called to something "Great", were all in incredibly humble positions. And their journeys to fulfill His purposes for them, did not come without great trials, testings and TRUST in God's sovereign plan. So friends, the answer to Gods will/purpose/plan for your life is plain: Love Him. Seek Him. Remain humble. Trust Him. Be obedient to His word. And be available to say "Yes!" If by trying to find a B&B we stumbled upon this majestic sight: the literal end of a beautiful rainbow with sparkling drops of subtle golden rain hitting the driveway where the rainbow ended. If you have ever wanted to see the actual end of the rainbow and the treasure hidden there, this is IT! God Wrote Himself In | Timothy Keller Explains The Incarnation😮 Jonathan & Jilliana 2023-12-26 | Timothy Keller gives illustrates the GOSPEL and the INCARNATION OF JESUS CHRIST using the example of an author writing themselves into their own narrative. He explains that man cannot related to God like a person on the first floor would relate to a person living on the second floor. God is not going to be found by His creation through our climbing physically higher into the heavens or into space. Keller describes how Yuri Gagarin the Soviet cosmonaut, after becoming the first person we knew of to ascend to outer space, thought it was a point for the materialistic atheism the Soviet Union embraced as the doctrine of its land when he went up to space and didn't see God. Keller goes on to explain that CS LEWIS, still being alive at the time responded in an essay "THE SEEING EYE," in which he made the point that God wouldn't be discovered or related to by people like a person living on the first floor would find or related to a person living on the second floor of a building, but MUCH MORE like HAMLET relating to SHAKESPEARE. CS LEWIS explains that Hamlet would be helpless to discover Shakespeare, indeed, he could know NOTHING much about Shakespeare accept to speculate about an author to his story UNLESS Shakespeare were to WRITE HIMSELF IN to his play. Keller uses the example of Dorothy Sayer who is thought to have written herself into her stories of Sir PETER WIMSEY the detective. It is thought that she looked into her story, saw Peter, lonely and in need, and she WROTE HERSELF into the story to because she loved him and wanted to save him from that loneliness and hopelessness. Timothy Keller makes the case that that is almost exactly what GOD did through Jesus Christ. In the beginning was the WORD and the WORD was with God and the word was God, He was with God in the beginning. The WORD BECAME FLESH and dwelt among us. God looked into His creation, He saw us suffering and hopeless in sin and death, and HE wrote Himself into His narrative to save us. Christ is the revelation of the creator and author of all creation. God wrote Himself into the story. That is what the incarnation is all about.

People like peace keepers, cause they don't stir the pot. They do as they're told, they don't engage in confrontation & they'll do whatever needs to be done to make sure those around them stay happy. Unfortunately, what this translates to is crippling internal anxiety, a life riddled with fear, inauthentic relationships & limited personal growth. As Christian's, we aren't permitted to live as peace keepers in our new nature as children of God. Matthew 5:9 says "Blessed are the PEACE MAKERS, for THEY will be called SOMS of God."Peace making takes humility, intentionality, a burden for authentic relationship & a desire to lead others OUT of their brokenness (confrontation) and INTO the arms of a loving God. For example, Matthew 5:23 says, "If you are offering your gift at the alter and remember that your brother has something against you... first, GO AND BE RECONCILED to them, then come offer your gift."As Ambassadors of Christ on this earth, we have to reflect the way he also engaged in Peace Making on this earth. When God explains the LAW of reaping and sowing, it is clear that it applies to everyone. He makes it rain on the just and the unjust, and the principles of God will bear fruit for anyone who puts them into practice.It’s the same when in God’s Word He says “death and life are in the power of the tongue.” When we speak, there is weight on the words that come from our mouth to shape our reality. While the world and new age culture would try and exploit that power in an unsanctioned or demonic way (called manifesting) the truth is that your words DO carry God given power that affects reality in measure.
