GTA V: PS3 Prototype Build - Cut Mission Dialogue & Audio From Removed Missions
updated
Patch for the US version of MC3: Remix (Tick Enable Widescreen Patches in PCSX2 to fix 3D rendering):
drive.google.com/file/d/1QYbvBzTaF7c8y88woe9wj8f0oWmbYVgN/view?usp=sharing
To call this a fix would be quite disingenuous. It more-so is a workaround than it is an actual fix. MC3s HUD size is dependant on the game's internal resolution (as are the other R* San Diego AGE games, see MC2 PC).
Therefore, I simply instructed the game to run at a higher internal res (640x480 as opposed to 512x448). This meant the UI properly scaled to 16:9 now. There were a lot of upscaling bugs I had to go and manually fix though.
Do NOT use this patch on actual hardware, as it most likely will just break your game. PCSX2s software mode also becomes unuseable.
There still are issues - mainly, headlights are cut off near the right side of the screen. This bug also affected other post processing effects, but those I had managed to fix. Spent a lot of time looking into the headlights though and couldn't find anything worthwile. However, I personally got used to it pretty quickly. The text in the pause menu also is misaligned, but that probably can be solved without too much effort. Will update this if and when I do.
Lastly, on newer PCSX2 builds, whenever you go over 25 mph for the first time during a game session, the emulator might start using up a shitton of VRAM for a second. It doesn't occur on older non-Qt PCSX2 builds, so I really don't know what that's all about.
I wish there was a better way of going about this, but MC3s HUD code sucks, and fixing it manually might just be outside of my wheelhouse. I spent a grueling amount of hours looking into HUD scaling independant of internal res, all resulting in mere futility. I'd rather not waste any more time on this. So yeah, definitely use this at your own risk - but all things considered, I would rather have a nice looking UI than not.
Just place the files in your PCSX2 cheats folder. Any issues, let me know.

current issues that will be addressed some day:
bump j - bump j could do with a longer mix once I find a good rip (a full length CDQ rip seems to be impossible to find)
major thanks to Edness and burninrubber0. cant reiterate that enough. give em a sub

for the record, it replaces no existing music whatsoever. I also went through the hassle of making sure all of the audio levels matched up - and had to create shorter mixes for some of the longer DnB and techno tracks. the race finish songs are loops I created. i have to clarify that they are not cut content.
down below is a full track list of the songs that were added. all of these songs were either originally deleted from the game before release, exclusive to the PSP version, part of the joint chiefs CD, or were only relegated to instrumentals in the final game.

Tyin' up some loose ends. Must be a pleasant surprise for the people who had been anticipating the continuation of this series (Yes. All three of you) NFS: Hot Pursuit Alpha build from August 18th, 2010. Has a lot of differences. Yadayadaya.
GAH DAMN this was a fucking pain in the ass to edit and record. Tons of hardware mishaps that forced me to re-record some events (which is why some events will display a PB). This included the dreaded Seacrest Tour as my HDD decided to run out of space 70 percent into recording the race. Yikes. You will see some flickering occur from time to time, this is due to Xenia's terrible and hacky upscaling solution being wonky.
Also, the video may skip at times too. Teehee.
But yea, afta' two long years.... it is finally here.. Enjoy.

Side note, you need a moderately powerful CPU in order to run the game at a consistent 60. Barring the occasional stutter, my 13700K runs it just about flawlessly with no frame drops. There are no glitches that come with the increased frame rate as well. It plays and feels almost akin to the native PC port. However, my old 3700X did struggle a bit during Hot Pursuit and Race events, with frames dropping to around 54 FPS.

"The short films created to run between levels of game play as directed by Joseph Hodges and produced by Eric Mofford for Unconventional Media and EA"
The cut-scenes made for Undercover, only from an early stage of the post-production process. Also includes scenes not used in the released game. Placeholder background music (mainly a large quantity of Muse) also used in many scenes. Hadn't seen this anywhere else, hence I'm uploading it here.
A pre alpha/alpha from around a month before the final build. Crazy because it is still wildly different from the final release. Criterion must've been on da crunch. A lot of tracks are unfinished and all tracks feature some difference, wether they be significant or insignificant. This build is actually a week or so older than the PS2 demo build, which is very cool. The only instance of a PS2 era racing game build getting leaked that is earlier than its demo version. Expect a lot of rough cuts and edits. Recording footage for this wasn't smooth sailing.
Either way, here are all the changes I could find.
Tracks:
- All tracks feature a different skybox or altered lighting, prime example is Interstate Loop, which originally was set at night. Final game it takes place during dusk.
- Most tracks feature extra vegetation (Airport Terminal 3, 88 Interchange are great examples)
- Palm Bay Heights is extremely unfinished, featuring many untextured buildings and lots of map holes
- Freeway Dash (referred to as Point to Point 3 in the build) is very broken - with it having no checkpoints implemented in. Meaning I had to freeze the timer in the game memory in order to bypass the first race and abuse the hell out of savestates in the Pursuit event that takes place there. Also features a different (and not properly UV mapped) skybox
Heartbreak Hills (reverse) features untextured mountains
- The surroundings in the metropolitan area of Sunrise Valley (forward) looks completely different. The White House was originally a set of 3 modern-ish looking buildings. This build also has a stadium in place of the huge library/museum building that is close to where the White House originally stood. There also are different lightpost/traffic light props that look closer to the ones seen in Los Angeles.
- All tracks feature different barrier textures. More unfinished tracks feature barriers actually seen in alpha builds of Burnout 1. Later tracks have the Burnout 1 barrier textures.
There are many more differences but most are just things like extra map holes and such and or just smaller changes that aren't that worthy of a mention.
Cars:
- Custom Coupe has a different front
- The back of the Sport is completely different, looking much closer to the Custom Sport
- Car deformation is greater
Gameplay:
Rubberbanding seems to be broken
Different crash physics and crash camera
UI:
Different city icons
Different menu background
Different start screen
Text "Pre-Beta Version" is on the bottom of the screen at all times in-game
Audio:
Many music tracks feature less (or in rare cases) more instrumentation. E.g Childish Games is missing the loud horns that, in the final release, play throughout the song.
Championship not available by default in this build, so had to create a game patch that replaces the Offensive Driving mode with Championship. All vehicles are also not available by default - and cars don't unlock as you progress as the progression code is fucked. Custom Series Championship and Crash Mode (which is actually called Crash For Cash in this build) I could not get working as of yet. Also had to turn down engine sounds to reduce audio crackling, which, as far as I know, there is no fix for.
Cheats for the build:
//replaces SPLASH SCREENS with memory card page (so you can create saves)
patch=1,EE, 2031b0b4, extended, 0047e3a0
//Unlock all cars
patch=1,EE, 201BD3E4, extended, 001BD3E4
// replaces offensive driving with championship menu
patch=1,EE, 2031af64, extended, 004786c0
Glorified demo marked as a preview disc weighing in at only 400 mb. Besides debugging symbols is quite useless. Only 3 tracks and 3 vehicle models per class. This build in particular had been seen previously in many pre-release promotional gameplay videos and images.
All differences
Visual:
More objects reflect light - and more light sources project a motion blur-like streak.
Slightly different lighting in many levels, Kings Of The Road features less contrast for instance
Different UI
More spark effects
More smoke emits from vehicles once you reach critical damage in Road Rage
Different billboards
More objects in Kings Of The Road, like caravans along the road that leads to the bridge
More buildings in Waterfront
Different car colors and several player vehicles have obvious and already known differences
Different damage models for Road Rage
Audio:
Different medal/medal goal UI sounds
Misc:
No rolling starts
No EA TRAX - but existed in builds around this era at one point. DJ Stryker also has several cut voice lines that remain unused in the game files.
Rotating or far frontal shot camera at the start of race events
Crash Mode events seem to be categorized in "Crash Zones"
Whenever you are low on speed or idle in Road Rage events the game itself will artificially damage your vehicle - with text popping up asking for you to "Speed Up".

This version of HP dates back to around August 18th 2010, around 3 months before release. For a build only 3 months due to release, it actually is very different from the finished product. Although, to be fair, many of these differences are purely cosmetic and don't affect the gameplay too much, but if you are a major HP fan like me, you'll find some of these changes to be quite fascinating. I might go back to the very primitive "beta content" format and go in-depth on all of the changes featured. Also why the over-edited intro? who cares just let me have fun editing  also sorry for any short freezes, i have neglected my elgato as much as a crack mom would her children

I SEE FLASHES OF GOOOOOOLD
Some kind of 70's/ZZ-Top throwback type music. Intro is boring but it really starts to shine at 1:03. Now that's some good stuff.
Other cut songs not featured in this build but where in the game at one point:
Ministry Jesus - Built My Hotrod (cut shortly after the game hit alpha stage so around May to late June 2004) (really good song btw)
Young Heart Attack - Misty Rowe (also cut from Midnight Club 3)
The Killers - Somebody Told Me
One of my favourite songs from Underground 2, was very surprised that this would have been included in Burnout 3.
Kinda saddened, in a way. It being featured in Underground 2 most likely had something to do with it's removal from Burnout 3, even though I believe this song was featured in Burnout 3 way before it was included in UG2's EA Trax.
Very popular track, probaly license costs axed this song from the game. Heard it once or twice on the radio aswell.
It would've been one of those few feel-good songs in Burnout 3 which would have been in the same category as the Money Suzuki/Ramones/Futureheads songs. Very good song though, sad it was cut.
There are more cut songs which will be uploaded shortly.
Is up till night now screams at light(?)
Lit up before the dawn
The life you've always known
And you've seen the destruction with your eyes
Could never believe that our very lives could still be fine
Anymore
And you know that sinking feeling in your gut
The TV screens could never sell you
And you've seen the destruction in their eyes
Won't shut my mouth and watch you die
Our voices will be louder than the bombs
The dawn is breaking
Where's your hope
? is awake from lucid dreams becoming real
And you've seen the destruction in their eyes
Could never believe that our very lives could still be fine
ANYMOOOREEE
And I know that sinking feeling in my gut
TV screens could never sell me
Cause I've seen the destruction in your eyes
Won't shut my mouth and watch you die
Our voices will be louder than the bombs
Imagination skips a beat
Their brothers upon our backs
The cycle now repeats
And we've seen the destruction in their eyes
Their brothers were made to remain with their very lives
Revolution
In light
ANYMOOOREEE
And I know that sinking feeling in your gut
The TV screens could never sell you
Cause you've seen the destruction in your eyes
Won't shut my mouth and watch you die
Our voices will be louder than the bombs (x4)
From a review build only 2 months before release. The build contains 5 (very good) cut songs. The other ones I'll all post in a very short while.
This was a great practice run and I have beaten my original practice run time of 2h and 52m by 15 minutes! Although this run kind of is invalid because I stopped the timer too soon (it was because there is a 2 second delay between my Xbox screen and Elgato's recording) so that sucks :/
Going to do a real Any% soon (I'll probaly stream it even) but I doubt I'll even beat this practice run lol. To any speedrunners out there, can I still submit this run?
