I had a westallen edit for 8x19 but first, I had no inspo to finish it since I kept overthinking it sucked, second, my days got so busy. I'm taking 3 summer classes, an internship, and had two concerts to go to. But now I got the time and was able to finish this!I was a lil disappointed with this season, which was also why there were a lack of edits. They just gotta treat Iris better, ya know? There was so much they could go with this time sickness, things that they promised to focus on, but it never happened. Instead we got Iris gone for a couple of episodes, AND BARRY NOT CARING ABOUT IT. "She's okay where she is, she's alive in the future" like ??? What kind of writing is that, first of all, and second, season 3 Barry would NEVER. It's why I chose a lot of season 2/season 3 westallen scenes to showcase what Westallen was and SHOULD be. If Iris was lost, dying, hurt, Barry would never stop running to find her and protect her. It would be the only thing he could focus on, no matter what the future said because as we learned, the future could change at any moment. I just don't like how they're ruining his character like that bc I love Barry so much and I love westallen. My hopes are severely low for season 9 unfortunately. Iris and Westallen AND Candice Patton especially deserve better than this.But I hope this edit made you forget the tragedy of what season 8 was and reminded you of how pure this ship is. I just hope season 9 doesn't ruin them completely, editing this already made me so upset of what's happened to them because things could've been so different. I would've uploaded it yesterday, but found some mistakes when rendering it so I went back and fixed them, then as I was rendering the final vid I had company come over so 😅 but it's finally here!!How did everyone like that finale? I LOVED it!! Finally a Westallen vow renewal and them getting married on their own show without getting blocked by another ship or getting interrupted 😭 We definitely deserved this after having no kiss or real content between the two, especially for last season. AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!! AND AAAAA THEIR CHILDREN!! I absolutely LOVE Bart. I see some features of both Barry & Iris the way he presents himself. When he laughs all I could think of was Barry and omg the casting team does a little too much of a good job when casting westallen's children. AND HIM SINGING? I started crying with them, it was just beautiful. I also love how happier Nora is!! Definitely needed both her parents to be in a healthier, strong mindset. I'm also happy in the future Barry & Iris mention the other Nora and how they have the "West-Allen Rules", literally the cutest thing. I can't wait for more of the West-Allen Family content in season 8!!I know I keep using James Arthur songs, but I believe this song was almost definitely perfect for this episode. Especially, "if you wanted to, I'd start a family with you" and "My crush on you has never faded" like?? AAA WESTALLEN VIBES. I tried to focus on their story and how many times they had their "firsts" like their first kiss, their proposals, and their weddings.
