It is developed by Rogue Entartainment and released by Velocity Incorporated in 1996. In this game we play as wandering mercenary looking for rebels to earn some money. I use GZDoom source port with remastered soundtrack. It is a first time that I play Elite difficulty, game is hard even on Rookie difficulty. Instead of fighting everyone I rather avoid unnecessary fights. I missed some thing because it would require to fight more enemies, and later in game it is hard to obtain ammo, armors and medkits (therefore earlier I chose Rookie difficulty). Strife: Quest for the Sigil Demo (PC, GZDoom) Walkthrough Elite difficulty Blaze Rhodon 2024-03-14 | I've found in Doomwiki that demo version of this game is quite different than retail game, therefore I decided to record it. Instead of Veteran Edition I use GZDoom with vanilla .wad file, because I don't like lightmaps and bloom implemented to modified Doom engine. Also in GZDoom I can use advantage of hardware accelaration (such as support of widescreen resolution, texture filtering, uncapped framerate) and most importantly multiple saves states feature for the same playthrough. If you bought Veteran Edition you can still use its .wad file with GZDoom (maybe I'll record side quest exclusive to Veteran Edition with getting overpowered melee attack).

However Batman Doom was not fully compatible with most source ports like Boom, Legacy Doom or ZDoom at these times (I earlier played this mod on ZDoom but with many bugs). Later this mod was ported to GZDoom source port by Ozymandias81 with addition of new sounds and particle effects. Overall this total conversion of classic Doom 2 was very good, Ace Team used many tricks that was not used in vanilla Doom 2. I decided to revisit this great mod because earlier I couldn't find all secrets and second last level was bugged (scarecrow did not spawn and I could not complete the level without using noclip).
