However, after utilizing three chains, she realizes she can't send out any more, and asks Fumiko for help. Initially nervous, Fumiko snaps on a smile and says she's leaving. Perplexed, Nayuta asks the self-confessed "fan" why she won't help, to which she says that her priority is working for Public Safety, so this isn't part of her job. She wishes her luck on her mission, though the young Devil asks her for help once more, stating her family just died. Smirking, the Public Safety agent derisively asks her if they weren't just pets, before leaving.The mob begin to realize that a Devil has been affecting their sense of reason, only for Barem to come crawling to Nayuta's side, calling to the mob and revealing that Nayuta is the culprit. The civilians point out Nayuta's just a child, but the older woman who was first controlled by Nayuta snaps out of her stupor and points out that she called Chainsaw Man her family.
