Valve cover leak 2014-2020 GMC Sierra, Silverado, Yukon, Tahoe BUTTEWORKS 2024-12-30 | My truck started to leak oil after 10 years, so in 2024 I detected during an oil change that there was oil coming down the engine. It was not dripping but pretty messy. Changing the valve cover gasket is easy and it took me a couple of hours since I never did it before. There are some sliding spacers than can me push back a little bit but I don't recommend doing it with a hammer since they are mounted on thin aluminum support.
