The instrumental backing by John Debney is great, but, geez, Scrappy-Doo's attempts at rapping are only a little better than Hamton J Pig on "Tiny Toon Adventures"... (Yes, I know it's the same voice actor.)
And here's a link to the GoFundMe for helping me out. Every little bit helps! gofund.me/c29ce1e1Castle Thunder compilation in modern (post-1993) cartoons! (Revised Oct. 2024)Zak Wolf2024-10-12 | Updated once again for the Halloween season; a montage of the second most well-known sound effect in the entertainment industry (next to the Wilhelm Scream), the Castle Thunder, as seen on this site... http://www.hollywoodlostandfound.net/sound/castlethunder.html
In the animation world, this sound was typically associated with Disney and Hanna-Barbera. By 1988, Castle Thunder began to be phased out by most movie, TV and animation studios, however some cartoons in the 1990s onward continue to use it (especially anything that Pomann Sound and Hacienda Post/Sabre Media Studios does sound editing on, or certain reboots of older properties). This montage is a continuing work-in-progress and will be replaced with an updated version sometime in the future.
Oh, and also, #releasecoyotevsacmeWarner Bros Animation thunder effects from the 2000s (REVISED)Zak Wolf2024-09-13 | One interesting about Warner Bros. Animation is that they have connections with Warner Bros. Post Production Creative Services. (It sort of harkens back to the 1940s, when Treg Brown was on staff.) These are the main thunder sounds that Termite Terrace has used during much of the 2000s, around after Sander Schwartz took over as president (he was the cruelest of them all!) You still can't find a good chunk of these on existing commercial effects libraries or anything like that, which is why a few of them still have background music attached. These thunder sounds are largely sourced from the libraries and creatives at Warner Bros., Skywalker Sound, Glenwood Editorial, and Weddington Productions, and were used on many of Warner Bros. Animation's productions since then, such as "Static Shock," "Ozzy and Drix," "Justice League (Unlimited)," "What's New, Scooby-Doo?" and related direct-to-video movies, "Teen Titans," "The Batman," "Legion of Superheroes," and many of their direct-to-video movies and the aborted theatrical Looney Tunes shorts of 2003-2004. A few of their subsequent productions like "Looney Tunes Cartoons" still use some of them.
A BIG thank you to the Sound Effects Wiki for helping locate and identify some of these!MAY I have a soda?Zak Wolf2024-09-11 | Another one of my quick random and bizarre mashups, this time involving D.W.'s "Bleep" episode from "Arthur"! Those "Word From Us Kids" interstitials had some pretty amusing moments.
So in this poop, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo are hired as Royal Food Tasters, but naturally they pig out and avoid being killed by Mandark, er, I mean the Caliph, by having Shaggy crossdress and tell him a VERY long and boring story, involving bagels, bears that whine for food, an upper-class cyclops and more!

And yes, this does hint at a future "Let's Play" video...Zak Wolfs Cartoon Commentary: Wind Up WolfZak Wolf2024-07-31 | Would you believe I got a great idea for another cartoon commentary reaction video featuring Zak Wolf? Thanks to Cartoon Network and Adult Swim's "Checkered Past" block now rerunning the "What a Cartoon Show", which I LOVED as a kid in the 1990s, I figured why not? "Wind Up Wolf", directed by Bill Hanna and based off an unproduced pitch devised by Tex Avery in the late 1970s!

And yes, I did base it off that funny bit in "The Smelly Mystery: Starring Little Monster Private Eye".Someday, Boy Named Charlie Brown...Zak Wolf2024-04-16 | A semi-remake of a video made by my friend @WillCWilson, taking the ending to the 1969 Peanuts feature film "A Boy Named Charlie Brown" and replacing the reprise of the title theme with Desirée Goyette's beautiful "Someday, Charlie Brown" song from the 1984 "Flashbeagle" album, this time using my remaster attempt with virtually no vinyl noise and at the correct speed and pitch. Will's right; the song fits with the visuals VERY well!

LYRICS: Say "hello" to Arthur! He just can't wait to meet you. He's off on an adventure, And really wants to see you. Come along with all his friends!
Arthur is the friendliest aardvark, You'll ever get a chance to meet. He has a lot of fun, and sometimes problems, Just like you and me.
When he finds he's in a pickle, You'll be amazed at what he can do. A rainy kind of day doesn't get in his way! He's got friends to help him through!
Welcome to Arthur's adventures, At home, at play, and school! He's just around the corner, Saving a place for you, So come along with all your friends!
A normal spring day goes all wrong, When a fire breaks out in the school! It's really noisy, and really scary, And anything but cool!
Arthur now worries for his dad, And his friends have their problems too. But try as they might, they know things will be right, Because that's what friends should do!
So, say "hello" to Arthur! He just can't wait to meet you. He's off on an adventure, And really wants to see you. Come along and be his friend. Come along and be his friend!

"Le Thème de Finot"). It was often used when accompanying some of Brain the dog's (my favorite character) antics and achievements (since he and Penny were the ones that truly saved the day while Gadget bumbled around), and was also used in some of the PSA segments that played at the end of episodes (such an example is pictured). Eventually I want to make a fursuit of Brain! He could be fun to cosplay as at conventions and the like.
