We should have installed this day one 🫨 Scho and Jo, on the Water 2026-08-24 | The first clips were from earlier this year, just outside of Sagauro National Park. We had our jars of granola break, soap went everywhere, it was a disaster. It was this day that we realized we needed to do something about our van’s sideways roll on uneven terrain. What I didn’t realize was how simple the fix would be…I installed the Timbren SES AEON springs in our friends' cul-de-sac in literally one hour and 27 minutes, less than 90 minutes. Here’s where we noticed the most difference 👇 Scho and Jo, on the Water 2026-07-22 | It’s been a little over 30 days since we upgraded our van suspension with Timbren SES. Since installing them in about an hour and a half in our friend's driveway, we’ve put them through the test. From mountain drives in Rocky Mountain National Park, rugged forrest roads in Minnesota, and high winds in North Dakota - our van has been handling like never before. It’s one of those things that you just forget how bad it was, which is why we made sure to capture our first impressions. Some other parts of driving that are significantly improved:1️⃣ Roundabouts are night and day. From gritting our teeth at 5 mph to comfortably fitting in with traffic.2️⃣ Side-to-side sway has been completely resolved with the slight trade-off of more up-and-down movement. Up and down won’t cause our cabinets to fly open, though!3️⃣Rear sag is now non-existent. Before, when we had full water tanks, we’d sag in the back, making the van look uneven, but now the van is completely level - always.
I can’t believe we waited to install these 🤯 Scho and Jo, on the Water 2026-06-26 | We self-converted our van a year and a half ago and have been living full-time in it since then. If you’ve ever built a van, you know there is ALWAYS more work to do. Like most people, we built our van to explore and not to continually work on our van! There is ONE upgrade, however, that stood out. So we decided to pause our exploration for this - fortunately, the install was so easy we felt like we should have done this months ago!You see, we built our van to the max of our 2500 chassis…. we have a max weight of 9,000 lbs…. and we built up to 9,000 lbs! The OEM bump stocks are simply not built for a full-time loaded operation. The van sways so much it rides so similarly to our old boat! These are the Timbren SES, and the install couldn’t be simpler. Even with all the challenges of a van project, they still took less than an hour and a half to install - all from a driveway. FINAL PROJECTS OF OUR VAN BUILD (Magnetic Bug Net, DIY Headliner Shelf, Trim) Scho and Jo, on the Water 2025-01-19 | It's time for our last van build projects! Installing our Van Ceiling and Flarespace Walls (Van Build Series Episode 16) Scho and Jo, on the Water 2024-11-17 | After completing all our cabinets in our last episode, we need to get back into the van and prep the area to install them! The first significant step is installing our walls and ceiling! This will allow us to install our upper cabinets and (hopefully) the rest of our cabinets in the next video!
