In my previous videos I discussed adding vectors and multiplying vectors with a scalar. This time I discuss multiplication of two vectors via the dot product, which is defined as multiplying all corresponding vector components and adding them up, thus giving a scalar or real number value; aka not a vector. 🔬#MESExperiments 28: Magnetic Spinning Top Aligns Opposite of Magnetic Attraction Math Easy Solutions 2022-12-03 | In #MESExperiments 28 I demonstrate the amazing ability of the GyroTop magnetic spinning top to always balance opposite the magnetic attractive force even when turning the apparatus upside down. The GyroTop, also called Space Top, is the invention of an obscure person named Owen Liang, and whom created it to test his hypothesis that spinning tops want to align themselves opposite of gravity rather than simply "maintaining angular momentum".The first part of the video involves just a regular spinning top with the ring magnet removed, and is used as a comparison. The spinning top keeps upright opposite the force of gravity even when the apparatus is tilted. This demonstration is often used to illustrate "angular momentum". In the second part of the video, I attach the ring magnet and repeat the same procedure of spinning it up with a drill. Note the GyroTop has a tube to manually blow air into to spin it up, but I used my drill instead. As I rotate the apparatus the GyroTop always moves to align against the magnetic attraction. This is counterintuitive since the angular momentum should keep the top stationary until the magnetic attractive force is strong enough to grab hold of the top. Complex Numbers as Rotation Matrices Math Easy Solutions 2022-11-18 | In this video I go over a very interesting concept and that is in interpreting complex or imaginary numbers as and equivalent rotational matrix form. This concept was brought to my attention by Lori Gardi from the @FractalWoman YouTube channel. Rewriting complex numbers as rotation matrices allows for looking at complex numbers from a different perspective, and this case that perspective is in simply rotating vectors. The imaginary number "i" is thus viewed as simply a 90 degree rotation when viewed as a rotation matrix. I also rewrite the famous Euler's formula into a rotation matrix form and that turns out to just be a 180 degree rotation. Applied Project: Radiation from the Stars (Blackbody Radiation) Math Easy Solutions 2021-05-26 | In this video I go over another Applied Project and titled “Radiation from the Stars”. This is an interesting project from my calculus book at the end of the section on Infinite Sequences and Series. The project involves blackbody radiation and comparing the classical model with the newer quantum mechanics model.Blackbody radiation is the heat radiation of a simplified ideal object that absorbs all incoming radiation and emits radiation that is dependent only on temperature of the object and not the frequency of the incoming radiation. Objects such as a furnace blast, matte black, and superheated objects like the Sun behave as blackbody radiators.In the 19th century, John William Strutt aka “Lord Rayleigh” and James Jeans had derived a theoretical model for the radiation spectrum of a blackbody, but this diverged significantly from known experimental findings, in particular at low wavelengths or high frequency light. This resulted in what is known as the Ultraviolet Catastrophe. In 1900, Max Planck looked to resolve this by postulating that light can only exist in discrete packets or quanta and not at any arbitrary value. This quantization of light produced experimentally accurate results for blackbody radiation and ushered in the start of “Quantum Mechanics”.In this particular Applied Project, I go over Planck’s Law, determine its limits, and show that at high wavelengths the law converges to Rayleigh-Jeans Law.Later in the video I make a note regarding Planck’s Constant and a potentially better interpretation of the quantization of energy from the YouTuber Lori Gardi aka Fractal Woman. I had initially written up a more extensive derivation of Planck’s Law in this video, but I have since removed it to do as a separate video in the future. Infinite Sequences and Series: Applications of Taylor Polynomials Math Easy Solutions 2020-12-14 | In this video I go over further into infinite sequences and series, and this time look at the many applications of Taylor polynomials. When I was still a student in university, it was this particular concept of Taylor polynomials and their applications to all aspects of physics that got me interested in creating my Math Easy Solutions channel. And in this video I explore Taylor polynomials in approximating functions which can then be extended to most functions in physics. The accuracy of our approximations can be determined using the Alternating Series Estimation theorem, Taylor's Inequality, and through graphical or even brute force calculation methods. Ⓑ Blockchain: The Big Picture - Part 2: Tokenization Math Easy Solutions 2020-11-21 | In this video I continue further into my Blockchain: The Big Picture series and this time look at Part 2 which covers the concepts of money, trade, and tokenization. As explained in Part 1, I had initially anticipated only making one Big Picture video but now it is becoming a video series. In Part 1 I had covered the notion of digital blockchain consensus which allows a network of computers to maintain a single ledger or history of transactions. This concept is a key factor in governing the current state of the world and the direction it is heading.In this Part 2 video, I start with pondering philosophical questions such as why do we do the things we do and create the things we create. These questions require exploring the concepts of work and manufacturing as well as trade and money. The concept of money is an abstraction and only exists so long as there is a collective belief or consensus as to its use as a representation or “tokenization” of goods and services. This belief in money requires an entire system of governance to maintain trust in it and it is this very system which is getting an entire shakedown through the emergence of blockchain technology. 🔧Fix OneNote Screen Blinking on Windows 10: Remove App Permissions Math Easy Solutions 2020-10-29 | In this video I once again look at troubleshooting the issue of the OneNote application glitching and blinking when using the pen to write on the screen, and this time go over a quick fix that has worked well for me. The fix is to simply turn off all the app permissions in the app settings options of OneNote. This simple quick fix has worked surprisingly well for me.Note that in my previous video I had discussed that increasing the task priority also helped to mitigate the glitching, but even then the issue became intolerable later on. Right now I use both methods of increasing task priority and removing app permissions. Although the issue of screen blinking and glitching still occasionally persists, likely because my note taking can be very extensive, it is at a manageable level. Laboratory Project: An Elusive Limit Math Easy Solutions 2020-10-20 | In this video I go over the Laboratory Project titled An Elusive Limit. Laboratory Projects are interesting math projects at the end of some sections of my calculus book, and in this case at the end of the section on Taylor and Maclaurin Series. The project I cover involves solving the limit of a function that has a difference in the numerator and denominator; and both include trigonometric sine and tangent functions, as we well as inverse trigonometric sine and tangent functions.The interesting part of all of these functions is that as x approaches 0, then they all approach 0 in about the same rate so that their values are near identical to a high level of digits precision. This makes the resulting differences in the numerator and denominator of the function cancel out most of the digits and thus we are left with only a few correct decimal places. This makes the resulting calculations highly dependent on the level of precision of the calculator being used, and in most cases the calculator won’t be able to brute force calculate the function at values very close to x = 0.In this case we can still solve the limit in several ways, either by using a computer algebra system (CAS) to solve derivatives or power series of the numerator and denominator, and thus be able to use methods such as l’Hospital’s Rule or other limit laws and algebra manipulation. Infinite Sequences and Series: Kummer’s Test, Raabe’s Test, and Convergence of Binomial Series Math Easy Solutions 2020-10-13 | In this video I go over more advanced tests for convergence in order to determine the convergence or divergence of the Binomial Series at the endpoints. In particular, I first derive Kummer’s Test, which is a generalization of both the Ratio Test, covered in my earlier video, and Raabe’s Test, which I cover in this video. I also show that Raabe’s Test is essentially a test that compares series to the p-series, which I had covered before. In my earlier video, I had covered the Binomial Series and showed using the Ratio Test that the radius of convergence was less than 1 but the test was inconclusive at the endpoints. This is where I use Raabe’s Test to overcome the shortcomings of the Ratio Test and show that at the endpoints, the Binomial Series may converge or diverge depending on the value of k. This is a pretty epic and extensive proof video, and likely far more thorough than any other proof found online, so make sure to watch it!Note that Kummer’s Test was first obtained by German mathematician Ernst Eduard Kummer, while Raabe’s Test was obtained by Swiss mathematician Joseph Ludwig Raabe, and both during the mid-1800s.Also note, that I obtained the proofs for Kummer’s Test and Raabe’s Test from a paper by Sarah Fix from Whitman College, USA. Infinite Sequences and Series: Multiplication and Division of Power Series Math Easy Solutions 2020-09-27 | In this video I go over a very in-depth tutorial on division and multiplication of power series just as we would for polynomials. In my earlier video I had gone over an example on multiplying and dividing power series using the basic polynomial expansion and polynomial long division techniques, but I had not discussed the reasoning for why it works. In this video, however, I derive the power series that results from multiplying two power series and show that the resulting coefficients involve a “convolution” summation that can also be obtained in the same way had we just multiplied the power series as if they were polynomials.The division of power series is effectively just the reverse of multiplication and thus to divide a power series is the same as figuring out which power series multiplies to get the numerator. I show that polynomial long division and double checking using multiplication yield the same result as expected.Also in this video, I go over briefly on Euler’s identity and imaginary numbers to illustrate, in Example 3, that if we consider imaginary numbers then we need to account for when the denominator of a power series is equal to zero in the imaginary or complex set of numbers. Math Easy Solutions 2020-09-19 | In this video I explore further into Blockchain technology and this time discuss the big picture as to its purpose and driving force. In this Part 1 video I specifically look at the concept of digital ownership, value, and the numbers on your bank account. In the physical world, the concept of ownership is taken for granted because we can physically hold in our hands the physical objects that we claim to own. But in the digital world all we are holding is copies of information, or more specifically copies of a series of pulses of light from the magical all encompassing internet of inter-connected computers, linked through a grid of deep-sea fiber optic cables. Thus the focus gets shifted into replicating physical objects through mathematical one-way functions and understanding just who owns the numbers in “our” bank account.To change the numbers on our bank account without needing to go through the bank requires developing our own ledger, which is just a history of events, and ensure that only one version is upheld through the science of cryptographic consensus. The numbers on any ledger only has value when the network believes it has value. And the ability to digitally form decentralized consensus of a history of events and laws, means blockchain based ledgers can be viewed as digital countries. The complex comprised of 7 buildings, including the Twin Towers WTC 1 and 2, and the third tallest WTC 7 or Salomon Brothers building. Included in this compilation are both “plane” impacts and the fall of WTC 1, 2, and 7. And as usual in my MES Dustification videos, I have fast forwarded the majority of the videos by 45X speed.The compilation starts in the morning of September 11, 2001 at 8:46 AM via one of the only publicly available footage available of the first "plane" impacting WTC 1, also called the North Tower. Interestingly there appears to be a weird plasma and/or fire formation that may explain how the "holes" were formed. The compilation continues with still footage and helicopter footage of WTC 1 and 2 dustifying, the second "plane" impact into WTC 2, the fall of WTC 1 and 2, and then the much longer continual dustification of WTC 7 which eventually fell like a soft hollowed out shell and at free fall speed at 5:20 PM; followed by more dustification of the entire World Trade Center complex until 6:00 PM when the video cuts off.Also included in this compilation is the weirdly "toasted" cars, which looked like there were inside a giant microwave oven, just behind WTC 7 in the afternoon as WTC 7, or "Building 7", was itself weirdly dustifying from one side and one side only! Bill Cooper stated with certainty that Osama bin Laden was going to be the next boogeyman to take the blame for a major attack that was to happen on USA soil. Fast forward a few months and 9/11 happened and within minutes the Osama boogeyman was plastered all over the news and USA was soon to start bombing countries in the Middle East.Bill Cooper’s prediction was not a psychic prophecy or even the result of a detailed analysis of current events, but instead it is merely the logical outcome of the absurdity of world events and the willing compliance of the public to accept anything and everything the uniform TV authority box is presenting. And during that time the usual mainstream media propaganda outlets were pushing the usual “extremist Muslim terrorists are plotting to attack the Western world". The spearhead of this fake news campaign is none other than the legendary satire news organization, CNN, which somehow got an exclusive interview inside Osama’s SECRET HIDEOUT, something which trillions of dollars of tax-payer funded USA military and intelligence agencies “couldn’t” do. The writing was on the wall that the CIA funded Osama was the next in line of a long succession of propped up "enemies" to rile up the public in the usual fearful chants for war and to remove their basic human rights in place for an illusion of temporary security as you get X-ray scanned and groped whenever going into an airport. Extrapolate this same scheme to today, and soon you will have to present a digital certificate of “health” whenever walking outside or even just choosing to breathe air without a muzzle. However, the writing was on the wall for Bill Cooper himself, since he was getting a very large radio broadcasting following on his show “Hour of the Time”, something which could not have been contained had he been allowed to live. And along with predicting 9/11 he had also predicted his death was soon to follow as well. He was among the first and foremost true truth-seekers, someone that would smile at the face of the death even it means it is required to uphold principle, the principle to live as one sees fit and not as demanded by others into violent compliance. 🔧Custom Browser User Scripts: Unblock Brave Browser from Archive.is Math Easy Solutions 2020-08-17 | In this video I go over another troubleshooting video and this time look at using custom browser user scripts to augment or change the way any particular website appears. And in this particular instance, I show how to unblock the Brave browser from the Archive.is (and mirror sites Archive.vn and Archive.today) archiving webpage website tool.The Brave browser is similar to Google Chrome in that they both use the same Chromium browser architecture but Brave allows users and publishers to earn cryptocurrency in the form of Basic Attention Token (BAT). I had switched from Google Chrome to Brave about 6 months ago and everything was working fine until all of a sudden the Archive.is webpage archiving tool which I had been using for years no longer supported the Brave browser. I did some digging and found that the owner of Archive.is has an issue with retrieving the BAT tokens that his website earned and as a result decided to not allow Brave browser users to access Archive.is. 🔧Fix OneNote Screen Blinking on Windows 10 + Increasing Task Priority Math Easy Solutions 2020-08-14 | In this video I go over some possible fixes to the issue that has arisen in my recent super-long videos in which the OneNote program glitches and blinks to a white screen periodically and annoyingly. The fixes covered include:1. The usual restart or reinstall the application and/or computer in hopes of returning the computer to a previous state before any possible computer bugs.2. Updating the “Group Policy” within Windows 10 to “increase scheduling priority”.3. Manually increasing the task priority of OneNote and other relevant programs to ensure most of the computer resources are directed to the desired tasks.The first fix only temporarily works while for the second fix I would need more time to assess how well it works but have included it because it was referenced directly by an OneNote engineer on the OneNote subreddit. Leibniz’s Rule: Generalization of the Product Rule for Derivatives Math Easy Solutions 2020-08-10 | In this video I go over Leibniz’s rule which is the generalization of the product rule for derivatives and extends it for all derivatives and not just the first one. I had covered the product rule in my earlier video and showed that the derivative of the product (f·g)’ = f’g + fg’. We can use this same product rule, along with mathematical induction, to prove the general Leibniz rule for the n-th derivative of a product (f·g)^(n). Leibniz’s rule makes use of the binomial coefficient which I had briefly discussed in a prior video as well. After I prove the rule, I manually derive consecutive derivatives using the product rule, as well as comparing the result with the binomial theorem. I do this to show the amazing synchronicity or similarity between the powers of a binomial (x + y)^n and the derivative of a product (f·g)^(n). 🔥#MESScience 2: Vortex Math Part 1: Number Theory and Modular Arithmetic Math Easy Solutions 2020-08-03 | In #MESScience 2 I cover a relatively unknown concept called “Vortex Math” or “Vortex Based Mathematics” which was founded by Marko Rodin. Vortex math is based upon the continual summing of digits of a number until a single digit is obtained and then using this principle to develop patterns with basic arithmetic in both 2D as a modular clock and grid of numbers; and in 3D as a torus with spiral geometry. 🔬#MESExperiments 26: Increasing Spin Friction Can Make a Gyroscope Rise from a Very Steep 72° Angle Math Easy Solutions 2020-03-16 | In #MESExperiments 26 I continue further in experimenting with attaching tape to a gyroscope’s rotor to increase spin friction and this time show that doing so makes it possible for a gyroscope to rise from a very steep 72° angle from the vertical. For this particular gyroscope, the previous steepest angle I had been able to make rise, until now, was about 61° from the vertical (see Experiment 12) but was done so without increasing spin friction. Overall, the steepest angle I had made a gyroscope rise from was 74°, see Experiment 13, and it was done so with a different gyroscope which interestingly had naturally more friction in the bearings than that of the precession gyro in this particular Experiment 26. Thus, in both cases it appears that increasing spin friction, even by applying a tiny amount of tape to the rotor, can increase both the rising rate and the maximum angle at which it is possible to get to a fully risen position. Interestingly, the casing rotation in this experiment was very rapid, and near the risen position the gyroscope becomes very chaotic as it tilts and rises in multiple oscillating sequences. I have included a slow motion footage of this chaotic rising at the end of this video. 🔬#MESExperiments 25: Increasing Spin Friction Can Make Gyroscopes Rise Much Faster Math Easy Solutions 2020-03-11 | In #MESExperiments 25 I continue experimenting with different ways of making a gyroscope rise faster, and this time I have discovered that simply attaching tape to the rotor axis to increase spin friction can dramatically increase the rising rate! And even increase the rising rate by over 5.5X+ but at the expense of greatly cutting short the total balancing, sleep, and spin time. Also of note is that with the tape friction the gyroscope’s outer casing also rotated throughout the experiment, whereas the low friction gyro comparison test had a much smoother but longer rising time. It appears that the rate at which the gyro spin speed lowers due to friction may in fact be the key driver, along with minimizing any precessional friction as in Experiment 1, to enabling gyroscopes to rise upwards as well as governing the rate of rising.Although increasing spin friction can increase the rate of rising, it is important to keep in mind my earlier Experiment 3 which shows that a gyroscope precesses, rises, and overall exerts "inertial forces" but with no additional loss of spin speed. In other words, there is no direct conversion from the loss of spin speed due to friction to a gyroscope rising; or no direct conversion from the conventional view of "kinetic energy" to "potential energy". 🔬#MESExperiments 24: Gyroscope Rises Even With 70% Added Weight #Amazing Math Easy Solutions 2020-02-19 | In #MESExperiments 24 I further embark on the amazing property of gyroscopes rising on their own even with added weight and this time show that even with 70% added weight a gyroscope can still rise upwards. This is a similar experiment and gyroscope as that in Experiments 21 and 22 but this time I included several metal nuts into the putty weight to further increase the weight. Interestingly the gyroscope rises gradually until the putty makes contact with the gyroscope rotor and which somehow causes the gyroscope to rise completely, instantly, and chaotically! In fact the gyroscope even oscillates from its risen position to a tilted angle back and forth several times in a chaotic second or two. 🔬#MESExperiments 23: Added Weight Doesn’t Always Make Gyroscopes Rise Faster #Nuance Math Easy Solutions 2020-02-13 | In #MESExperiments 23 I expand further upon the previous Experiments 21 and 22 regarding the monumental discovery of gyros rising faster with added weight by showing that this is not necessarily always the case; thus demonstrating the need for nuance in all of life. I demonstrate this by comparing the rising rates of another gyroscope with 4 weight conditions: No weight added, 10%, 16%, and 21% weight added (relative to the weight of the gyroscope). For this specific gyroscope, the lower the weight added the faster the rising. In fact, the 21% weighted gyro didn’t even rise fully, which is in stark contrast to Experiment 21 which had a gyro rise almost 3X faster with 30% added weight! 🔬#MESExperiments 22: Added Weight Can Make a Gyroscope Rise Faster (No Casing Rotation) Math Easy Solutions 2020-02-09 | In #MESExperiments 22 I have repeated Experiment 21 by making sure the casing does not rotate as the gyroscopes rise thus confirming that some gyroscopes can in fact rise much quicker when extra weight is added. The earlier Experiment 21 involved comparing a gyroscope with no added weight with that of a 30% by-weight added putty gyro test, in which the added weight gyro rose by almost 3 times faster. Since the gyro spin speed was very fast, the casing of the non-added weight gyro was rotating rapidly during rising while the added weight gyro did not experience casing rotation. After criticism that the casing rotation may causing the slower rising rate of the non-added weight gyro test, I have repeated the experiment by adding a small 5% by-weight putty to ensure the gyro casing does not rotate. 🔬#MESExperiments 21: Added Weight Can Make a Gyroscope Rise Faster Math Easy Solutions 2020-01-15 | In #MESExperiments 21 I go over a discovery I made early last year which flipped my already flipped understanding of gyroscopes, and that is adding extra weight to a gyroscope can make it rise faster. In some cases, this experiment being one of them, the rate of rising can be significantly faster. This video compares the rising rate of a 100.63 gram toy gyroscope with and without an extra 29.67 g putty weight. Initially both gyros start off at about 48° and somehow the weight added gyro rises about 2.71 times faster; 14 seconds vs. 38 seconds. Interestingly, the unweighted gyro took about 2.7 times the time to rise as well as 2.7 times the overall time before fall than that of the weighted gyro. 🔬#MESExperiments 20: Forced Precession of a Gyroscope Generates Inertial Lift (i.e. Weight Loss) Math Easy Solutions 2020-01-06 | In #MESExperiments 20 I’ve uploaded one of the least known experiments by the late great Eric Laithwaite and it is among the clearest demonstrations of gyroscopic weight loss through forced precession. This experiment involves placing a gyro wheel with a shaft that is loosely connected onto a vertical rod which allows the gyro and shaft setup to freely move upwards if the gyro “chooses” to. And choosing to rise upwards is exactly what it does as Eric forces the precession with an external looped structure which he pushes against the end of the shaft. As the gyro torques upwards and thus the center of mass increases so too does the entire gyro + shaft setup rise; and in fact rise completely airborne for a brief moment. Thus, had there been a weight scale underneath, it would measure a zero weight reading as it was airborne; in other words, the gyro “loses weight” during forced precession, or more accurately, as the center of mass increases and without expected downwards reaction (which otherwise would increase the weight scale reading akin to a person pushing off the ground when jumping upwards).This experiment is taken from the BBC “Heretics” series referenced below. Interestingly it is not available on YouTube, and BBC doesn’t allow anyone to upload it there either; thus raising the question of why the tax payer funded BBC, to the tune of about $5+ billion per year, places a cover on science. This is one of the most fascinating capabilities of gyroscopes but is almost as fascinating and perplexing as how the entire world has missed out on this feat of gravity defying proportions. Although gyroscopes and spinning tops have always been inverted pendulums in principle, it is this particular experiment that shows that they also inverted pendulums in form and appearance as well.I demonstrate this inverted pendulum property of gyroscopes by showcasing two experiments involving a custom low friction gimbal setup on a string: the first with a light counterweight in which the gyroscope "forces its own precession" and the second with a heavy counterweight that requires manually forcing the precession initially. The first experiment involves placing a light 6.60 gram counterweight with a 4.60 gram and 55 mm long stem onto a 148.68 gram gyroscope that is placed in a custom gimbal setup hung via a string to minimize rotational friction. The gyro in this case is able to raise the light counterweight on its own.The second experiment, @ the 13:35 mark of this video, is similar to the first but involves a much heavier 148.68 gram counterweight. 🔬#MESExperiments 18: Gyroscopes Even Rise on a Flimsy Rotating Needle Math Easy Solutions 2019-09-17 | In #MESExperiments 18 I take my earlier gyro rising on a needle experiments to another level and this time tape the needle onto a flimsy rotating platform; and yet again the gyroscope rises all on its own! This experiment may quite literally be the only time anyone in the history of the world even bothered to perform such an experiment. This experiment demonstrates that a gyroscope can automatically balance and adjust its position even on a flimsy constantly rotating base and all while still magically rising. And as my earlier gyro experiments have demonstrated this is only possible because gyroscopes produce no centripetal or horizontal forces during precession thus can still operate on a flimsy needle; all of which is unheard of in conventional physics. And interestingly as the gyro slows down the centripetal force or “inertia” reappears and throws the gyro off the flimsy needle much quicker than in my earlier fixed needle gyro experiments. The needle was tilted at 24° and the starting gyroscope tilt angle was 32°; note that both angles are measured from the vertical. The gyro, as on the vertical needle in Experiment 16, rises very quickly and this time rises in 23 seconds. This experiment also illustrates the magical behavior of gyroscopes to modify their “inertia”, effectively disappearing and reappearing their “mass”. This is shown by initially the gyroscope precesses with zero horizontal movement of the overall needle/clamp base but then magically regains this “mass” as the gyro speed slows down and spirals downwards while moving the entire base aggressively to the left and just before the gyro throws itself off. ✈️#911Truth Part 13: Helicopter Footage of the Twin Towers Turning to Dust (Fast Forward 45X Speed) Math Easy Solutions 2019-09-06 | In #911Truth Part 13 I have uploaded another sped up video of the Twin Towers (WTC 1 North and WTC 2 South Towers) literally turning to dust right before our very eyes. This is some unique long continuous footage from a helicopter, and I have sped it up by 45X speed to better condense the otherwise 1.5 hours of footage. I have also included zoomed in and slowed down footage of the 2nd “plane” which cartoonishly glides through the WTC 2 exterior before a giant fireball explodes but which quickly forms a large smoke/dust/fumes cloud that quickly moves upwards leaving a large hole (with no remnants of a conventional - magically steel-slicing - aluminum “plane” in sight).Also included in this chopper footage is both the fall of the two towers like a giant dust ball softly impacting the below water-table World Trade Center floor, and hence why there were very little rubble or seismic impact or why Manhattan wasn’t flooded from the Hudson River. Both falls were preceded by intense “dustification” as the towers were turned to dust from inside out while most of the dust was sucked out from one side, especially the North Tower. Later footage shows the entire city covered in thick dust that also makes its way into the sky near the clouds. Infinite Sequences and Series: Absolute Convergence and the Ratio/Root Tests Math Easy Solutions 2019-08-30 | In this video I explore further into Infinite Sequences and Series and this time consider series that have involve the absolute values of a sequence. This involves the concept of “absolute convergence” which I show that it implies convergence in general; although the reverse is not always the case. In this case, the very interesting concept of “conditional convergence” arises which allows for the convergence of a series simply by re-arranging the terms such that the positive and negative terms cancel out; which is only possible if a series is not absolutely convergent. I also go over two specific tests to determine absolute convergence and they are the ratio and root test which are as their names describe. Math Easy Solutions 2019-08-25 | In #MESExperiments 16 I demonstrate one of the most fascinating demonstrations ever conducted, and which even baffled my mind when I first tried it out. A gyroscope can even rise while precessing at the tip of a needle! Yes, a needle… The gyroscope is literally dangling in midair with nothing to hold on to but the tiny tip of the needle. I’ve included a zoomed in box during the gyro rising to show a close up of the stem and needle. This is some truly breath-taking stuff!The progression of the gyro experiment and numerical results are listed below:- Initial Gyro Angle: 47°- Rising Time: 0:40 - 0:04 = 36 seconds.- Sleep Time: 0:58 - 0:40 = 18 seconds.- Time to Fall: 1:02 - 0:04 = 58 seconds.- Total Spin Time: 2:45 - 0:04 = 2:41 = 161 seconds.- Note: Very interesting loud noise coming from the gyro at the 20 seconds mark during rising.Note that the gyroscope weighed 100.29 grams and the needle is less than 0.5 mm thin.
