IBPS Graduation June 2023 Vision-Aid USA 2023-06-22 | out Vision-Aid’s IBPS training program The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, popularly known as IBPS is an autonomous body in India which conducts recruitment examinations for all Public Sector Banks except the SBI. The exam is very challenging and competitive and Vision-Aid partners with Mahendras educational (P) Ltd, as our Training partner, to offer a special training program to train blind and visually impaired students in IBPS test taking skills. The training is categorized in various subjects divided into 8 week training modules. At the end of the program the training team conducts mock tests and intense practice sessions to prepare the students for the exam. The training and curriculum is helpful for other competitive Exams such as Railway Examinations, SSC Examinations, and other State level Examinations. In 2022, many of our students cleared the prelims and we were thrilled that just 2 weeks ago, one of our students Jafar cleared his finals and is on his way to the final interview. About this graduating class The students in this class began their journey on 10th Jan 2023 and concluded with the graduation on 22nd June 2023. The students and trainers celebrated the 6 month journey with a lot of joy. During this period they have undergone in-depth training in Reasoning ability, Aptitude, General English, and General Knowledge, in a rigorous and intense boot-camp style training conducted virtually so it is accessible to students all over India. It also plans to offer a range of services to the visually impaired to acquire soft skills and other skills to find jobs in the competitive IT industry. The DATTC will focus on 3 areas: Testing, Training and Empowering.TestingIn the area of Testing – Vision-Aid’s Digital Accessibility Testing & Training Center (DATTC) will offer a comprehensive range of resources for Digital Accessibility Testing needs. The team follows leading international standards (including WCAG 2.0), trained and certified staff and state-of-the-art processes, technology and tools to deliver a high-quality testing service for any corporation or organization seeking to outsource digital accessibility testing. Testing includes both manual and automated testing. The multi-disciplinary team includes both disabled and non-disabled testers to carry out in-depth, holistic testing.TrainingIn the area of training, Vision-Aid offers a professionally structured, state-of-the-art training program at a highly subsidized cost to any visually impaired individuals who aspires to become a world-class DAT tester. Vision-Aid has already completed two batches of training. Each batch has around 15 students, and spends around 4.5 months to undergo an intense and rigorous training to learn best practices in DAT as well as become proficient in the tools and processes needed to do accessibility testing. The DATTC has already trained around 30 visually impaired students in two batches drawn from a large pool of applicants from all over India. The trainers are among the best in the industry. Many of them work for top IT companies and volunteer their time with this program.EmpoweringThe DATTC does not stop with testing and training. In addition to training and creating job opportunities within Vision-Aid, the center also empowers the visually impaired with a range of support services for visually impaired students and staff – including coaching, mentoring, resume creation, soft skills training, networking and advocacy. Spoken English (Intermediate) Program Graduation Vision-Aid USA 2022-04-03 | In 2018, Vision-Aid launched its Spoken English program to train the visually impaired in Spoken English.There are three levels - Beginner, Intermediate and advanced, which take the learner through a progression of learning. Each course lasts for 6 months. Due to the non-availably of suitable materials, Vision-Aid volunteers custom designed the course for the visually impaired and we are amazed to see the results.
