How to create a RIBBON POUR painting - acrylic pouring Emalex Creative Art 2021-05-02 | I'm doing something different today... I'm going to show you how to create a RIBBON POUR painting. I'm going to use bright and vibrant colors including red, blue and yellow as I want this to be a bold and striking ribbon pour painting. This is a really fun, and easy acrylic pouring technique, so if you are a beginner in acrylic pouring, it's a great technique to start with. Spectacular Fluid Art Swipe - Easy to follow technique Emalex Creative Art 2021-04-24 | Here's another Fluid Art Swipe Technique from me, Emily, at Emalex Creative Art. Join me as I show you how I created this gorgeous swipe painting using silicone. It's the first painting I have created since recovering from back surgery, and I couldn't be happier with how this swipe painting turned out. I absolutely love how the swipe paint changes from black to green which produces the perfect contrast against the oranges. It's so pretty! Sorry for the lighting on this video! I filmed this when it was a beautiful sunny day and the sun was shining through my window next to me so the lighting keeps changing. I wasn't going to post it as I was so embarrassed by the quality of the video, but I had promised you I'd show you how I created this fluid art swipe painting, so I uploaded it anyway. I promise that future video's will not have this problem. I've got a blind now!At the end of the video you can see the wet and dried painting. Once I have let the swipe painting dry for a few more weeks, I'll clean the silicone off the painting and then apply a coat of resin. I think the best name for it would be "The SWIPE & SWIRL" technique! I'm super excited to show you how to create a Swipe & Swirl acrylic pouring painting. In this video I will show you the pouring paint colors I use and how I prepare my canvas for the swipe and swirl painting, and then I will show you exactly how to create the swipe painting step by step and then how to create the swirl effect. I must say I don't think it is the easiest of techniques. I would say this is more of an advanced acrylic pouring technique, but I urge you to challenge yourself and try something new, give this technique a go! Can you put Matte over Gloss Varnish? TIPS & TECHNIQUE Emalex Creative Art 2021-01-28 | Can you put Matte over Gloss Varnish on a painting? See what happens when you apply matte varnish over gloss varnish.I have applied 2 coats of gloss varnish to one of my pour paintings and I really don't like the shine on it. I don't think it is the right finish for this painting, Id prefer a matte finish, so I'm going to apply a matte varnish over the high gloss varnish on my painting to see if I can get rid of the shine. 32 COLORS!!! Rainbow Swipe Painting - Unique technique! Emalex Creative Art 2021-01-17 | My MOST colorful pour painting to-date! I used 32 colors to create a rainbow swipe painting, and it turned out to be one of the most challenging swipe paintings I've ever done. I made half the paint colors myself, (which took sooooo long!), and then I needed to be really careful with how I laid the paints to make sure each color was the same amount as the others (which isn't easy to do with fluid paint). It was a challenge for me, but it was fun and I'm really pleased with how the rainbow swipe painting turned out, its fun, happy and, of course, colorful! lol. I hope you enjoyed the video. What should you use when you're doing an acrylic pour painting? Is using tap water a big no no if you are storing your paints? I'm going to find out...I’m going to investigate whether you have to use distilled water with acrylic pour painting/fluid art or whether you can use tap water or filtered water with acrylic paints.
