When I was a kid I lived and breathed for VNs, specifically the Phoenix Wright series. It's my favourite game format, tho now mixed with RPGs (Baldur's Gate 3 comes to mind) it makes me smile fatly. It was always my dream to run my own studio and make a VN of my own worlds and stories. But that's something reserved for educated nepo babies or people with actual networking skills, so instead I kinda just let those ideas die.Here, I generated some base images with Flux (new ai thing) and painted over them. You'd be surprised how shit raw AI images look without some degree of artistic skill to fix them (that and it doesn't know how to draw old men, it keeps yassifying them 👁👄👁). Anyway, I cranked my ancient UI and composition knowledge up and put these pieces together to make the video look like a legit VN. The sound design was also a Time. I used phoenix wright, TF2 and FF14 UI sound effects.I hope at least one person appreciates the pitching of the typewriter sound for the different voices, along with the overall 1940's aesthetic I was going for here ^_^
