In this episode I build a robot that plays the Elden Ring DLC: Shadow of the Erdtree because it's simply too hard. I created a robot from solenoids, Lego and an Arduino that plays Elden Ring for me on repeat. The question is: Will it make any difference?

In this episode I find out how long it will take me to bench press my own bodyweight, pullup 1.5 x my bodyweight and deadlift twice my bodyweight. At the time of filming I weighed 70 kg (154 lbs). Apparently this puts you in the top 5% of the population in terms of strength. I'm not sure about that, but deadlifts sure are hard!
Filmed at Block10 in Dundee.
In this week's episode I try to lead my first on sight trad climb with @WideBoyz's Pete Whitaker. The aim was to do swinging leads on a 3 pitch climb with me taking the lead on pitches 1 and 3. Since there were no bolts, I'd have to learn to place my own protection.
Go check out WideBoyz video to see more content and Pete's perspective from the trip youtu.be/mvr0oPGpWRI?si=in5e5vFeTOXWC2DD

This week I designed a dice (or die) that will allow me to win at snakes and ladders every single time. I used an Arduino with some basic electronics equipment, electromagnets with magnets embedded in a loaded dice that gave the result I wanted.

I travelled to Norway to learn trad and crack climbing from Pete Whittaker from @WideBoyz . He took me up a 5 pitch monster in Dirdal and, despite me seconding, pushed me to the absolute limit. Thankfully @KieranJDuncan was the to film but also to give emotional support as we climbed.

This week I finally attempted one of the most requested skills for this channel: Kendama. It's a traditional Japanese toy that has a huge range of possibilities for potential tricks. Both difficult and addictive, I found it to be the perfect learn quick. I chose three tricks to try and learn: Earth turn, Lighthouse and Around Europe.

In this episode I strive to make the next progression in my climbing journey by attempting outdoor leading for the first time. Lead climbing outdoors is a scary step for a beginner climber, but I found there were a number of ways to work around the fear.

This week I thought I'd try my hand a farming. The most basic skill I needed to learn was how to back up and reverse a trailer. The aim was to learn to reverse a tractor and trailer full of wheat into Crawford's barn without destroying his farm.

Can my chess cheating device get past the metal detector wand commonly used at chess tournaments to screen for cheat devices? In this video I also test out a faraday cage to see if it is a viable solution for preventing radio signals reaching my device. This device was made in response to the chess cheating scandal involving Hans Niemann and Magnus Carlsen, originating at the Sinquefield Cup 2022.

Amidst the cheating controversy that, at the time of publishing, is still unfolding in the chess world between Hans Niemann, Magnus Carlsen and chess.com, I thought I'd try and see if "that" cheat device is actually possible. How easy is it to make? Can it actually be used to defeat high level players? Can I, a programming and electronics n00b make one? Let's find out.
