Real Mexican Day of the Dead | Amazing Guanajuato Bar Crawl & Celebrations! The Spurt Hole 2025-11-09 | Dio de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead 2025, was a Mexican party like no other. We travelled to Mexico City and on to Guanajuato to experience the authentic Dio de los Muertos celebrations - including the best bar crawl of the year and a suitably spooky parade.Mexico City was certainly filled with Day of the Dead revellers, enjoying the costumes and local beverages. We explored some of the tourist highlights, but wanted to get a proper taste of how Mexicans party in honour of their deceased brethren. That's why we ventured into the heart of the country, to Guanajuato.An absolutely stunning and colourful city, Guanajuato is the self-titled capital of the state and an essential visit. Day of the Dead transforms the entire place, with the subterranean tunnels converted into a proper Dio de los Muertos bar crawl. Probably the best bar crawl I've been on in 2025. Best Beery London Bar Crawl! | Bermondsey Beer Mile The Spurt Hole 2025-10-16 | The Bermondsey Beer Mile is a now famous bar crawl in central London, covering numerous tap rooms and breweries as well as regular pubs. Here's our walking/staggering travel vlog of the Bermondsey Beer Mile in October 2025, showing some of the best bars on the route.If you're into breweries, the great news is you'll find several along this crawl. From craft beer and lagers to mead and even wine, there's something for everyone. Some big London breweries like Southwark are here, as well as some of the best craft breweries from across the UK (like Cloudwater and Moor Beer). The Bermondsey Beer Mile also offers plenty of food, from pizza to Japanese fare! Pad your stomach better than I did!If I had to rank all of the bars that we hit up, The Kernel at the Bermondsey end would be right at the top. It's a larger space with an excellent selection and fantastic food. However, many of the breweries including Mash Paddle, Moor and Bianca Road stood out with some delicious craft beers. Trying Oktoberfest (The Proper Munich One!) 2025 | Beer Tents, Top Tips & Shenanigans The Spurt Hole 2025-09-28 | My Oktoberfest vlog from Munich, 2025, up to the point where steins of amazing German beer broke my brain. I checked out some of the best tents for a brief review, and here's some top Oktoberfest Munich tips if you're planning a visit yourself!From the uplifting songs to the generous beer helpings, this folk festival is a dream for anyone who loves a hefty bit of day drinking. Rather scarily, Oktoberfest is fast approaching its 200th anniversary - and would've already done so if a few wars hadn't got in the way a bit. This 2025 celebration runs until October 6, so you've still got some time to come check it out yourself!As well as the infamous beer tents, this vlog shows off some of the other top festival highlights. These include a huge number of Oktoberfest fun fair rides, plus of course the friendly German locals. Munich is a lovely place and after a few steins, much merriment was had!Sadly time was short so I didn't get to enjoy much of the food on offer, but it's all standard hearty German fare - wurst, pretzels, stews and the usual. Hopefully I'll be back next year for Oktoberfest 2026, with some extra time on my hands for a more in-depth review. Trying The Worst Theme Park Food The Spurt Hole 2025-09-22 | Reviewing some of the worst restaurants and food at the Alton Towers Theme Park, UK. If you go down to the woods today, better bring a fat wallet and a sick bag. Just kidding, the Alton Towers food isn't quite that terrible, but it is overpriced and mostly lackluster. These restaurants and fast food joints have some of the worst scores and reviews of ANY theme park in England. And who better to put his guts on the line for you, but Uncle Spurt?If you stay at the Alton Towers Hotel in 2025/2026, your breakfast is included in the price. This is served up in the Secret Garden restaurant inside of the hotel. It's a basic buffet with a small selection of cereals and fry up bits. Plus some of the most tasteless coffee in the UK.Once inside of the theme park, your choices include mostly generic fare. Alton Towers has burgers, hot dogs, chicken and sandwiches, all served up at an eye-watering and wallet-emptying price. Never mind the Smiler, it's the cost that'll have your head spinning.You can also try a sit-down Alton Towers restaurant, like the Oak & Chains. This is the home of the donut burger, which I'll very much not be trying again. It's not the worst burger by any means, but the sweetness is overwhelming.So that's my one-day review of the food at the Alton Towers Theme Park.
