Found by Laser Crusader over at the LM Modding Discord, were three new Luigi states, including a near-identical replica of his crawl sequence on E3 2001 after being scared by a Basher, one where he gets his health capped to 70HP, and an "alert" state of sorts that has him play a scared/frightened animation, and tiptoe when walking.

Found by Laser Crusader over at the LM Modding Discord, were three new Luigi states, including a near-identical replica of his crawl sequence on E3 2001 after being scared by a Basher, one where he gets his health capped to 70HP, and an "alert" state of sorts that has him play a scared/frightened animation, and tiptoe when walking.[TCRF] Luigis Mansion - Game Boy Horror Ghost TrackerLMFinish2024-04-13 | Function 0x8004463C (US) handles the animation and coloring for the timer's colon graphic and, additionally, performs the direction tracking of targeted actors via the animated border. This feature was originally seen in a trailer to promote the game's presence at E3 2001, and by the time of playable demos, was absent entirely. Interestingly, instruction li r0,0 at 0x8004472C, which comes right before a check for values 1 and 2, deliberately prevents any of the code from running and restricts the border to its default motion.
As is, it will only track objects targeted by the Boo Radar (bomb, Boo ball and the Boos themselves) and no common or ordinary ghosts are detected by it. Its two modes consist of 1, formerly intended for actors far away from Luigi, and 2 (set manually 16 seconds into the vid), which is more accurate and lacks the swaying of 1. Values 3 and above also fall back to the default motion. It is unknown if any code to automatically switch between modes still exists.[TCRF] LM: EnFrightenLMFinish2024-04-13 | For TCRF
Leftover among the behavior classes for Luigi's Mansion is EnFrighten, a canned attack which works similarly to the purple ghost's scare at E3 2001, using the same animations. It is theorized to be an updated version of that attack. Every ordinary ghost when created is given a pointer to switch to this behavior upon appearing, but it's never used due to most of them only using JMP appear_type 2 AKA the usual chasing setup. Changing any ordinary ghost's JMP entry to 1 will make the game use it, but it crashes during its range check due to an invalid pointer read segued by a function call attempt (read/jump to 0). The codes below fix this and the range, allowing it to work, and force the behavior on all ghosts for convenience.

Luigi's Mix/Collection, also known as LM/C, is a mod inspired by the early dev stages of Luigi's Mansion. Atop this "remix" of the builds, new features and ideas will be implemented to further make the experience better. Development began on mid-2016 as an ordinary LM hack, but thanks to AbsoluteG (Gambit), Lukie D, Spacecats and other people from the LM modding community, I've been able to make this mod as neat as it is currently.
