The original track was a synthy, gritty cyberpunk-inspired track that was really fun to make but looking back, it's definitely not my best work. So I decided that instead of releasing the original crappy track on streaming services, I'd instead recreate it to my own satisfaction.It was originally meant to be simply a remake of the track, like what I did with my Cinnabar Island remix, but after some experimentation with various sounds, I decided that reimagining it as a more atmospheric and chill track was the best route to go down. Pokemon Legends: Arceus - Lake (Catostrax Remix) Catorstrax 2023-07-28 | Been a little bit!I feel like I've been running a bit dry when it comes to inspiration. I've really wanted to make a remix of Hisui's lake theme for a while but it honestly felt like I wasn't putting much effort into it when I was making it. That resulted in it being quite a while until I finally finished it but I think I still got it into the Nintendo Summer Megamix which is cool!So yeah, I did kind of feel like just dropping this track as I was making it because it wasn't something that I actually enjoyed listening back to it felt more like I was just doing a job. Zelda: Spirit Tracks - Zeldas Spirit Lullaby (Catorstrax Remix) Catorstrax 2023-05-19 | Zelda's Lullaby as a piece of music all throughout the Zelda franchise has got to be one of my favourite video game themes ever. This iteration from Spirit Tracks, however, is something I hadn't heard until a few months ago.There's something very emotional about the spirit version in Spirit Tracks. Animal Crossing: New Horizons - 2AM (Catorstrax Remix) Catorstrax 2023-05-12 | I'm kind of releasing this a little more under the radar as I know today is the Tears of the Kingdom release day and I want more of the hype to be around my Zelda mix that I just released. However, this is a track I'm really happy with and was the last of my three tracks in the 2023 Nintendo Lofi Megamix and I'm happy that it was a part of it as there were quite a few Animal Crossing remixes this year!I really wanted to create something that felt quite literally as if it were from the middle of the night, when the air is still and there's a sense of calmness all around you. I even wanted to match this in the video itself by not having anything too flashy overlaid on top of it. Pokemon S/V - Area Zero (Catorstrax Remix) Catorstrax 2023-05-05 | I just wanna mention first of all that the theme I'm remixing here is honestly one of the greatest pieces of music in any Pokemon game in my opinion! If you're ever interested in listening to the original themes that I remix, this is one you can't miss out on as I think just this one remix doesn't do it justice.Anyway, the story basically goes that I only heard this theme a few weeks as that's when I finally finished Pokemon Violet and I was just completely thrown away the whole time I was in Area Zero! If I'm being honest, I wasn't sure about making this remix of the theme since I didn't do injustice towards it. Nevertheless though, I felt that the fact that this is a more wavy lo-fi interpretation of the theme, I felt it justified itself. I'm sorry it's been almost a month since my last release. I intended on releasing this a while back as well as another track but I've had some huge technical complications that have stopped me from being able to create a final product. However, track 100 is here now and I'm super happy you're listening to it!For me, this track is the culmination of five years of music production all put together to recreate what I first sought out to make. Not only is this the first track on my channel, it's also the first track I submitted to the Pokemon Megamix. All of this really kicked off a five years on this platform that I'm incredibly grateful for. Pokemon S/V - Levincia (Catorstrax Remix) Catorstrax 2023-03-05 | Here we are with the second track of mine from the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Megamix! If I'm being honest, I've been unsure about releasing this track ever since I started making it a month back. I had an idea in my head for a remix of Levincia that I immediately gave a shot but had to keep reiterating it as I made it since while I didn't think it would turn out bad, I wasn't sure if anyone would actually be that engaged by it. While I'm still not completely sure what people think of it and all, I'm happy with the way I aimed on perfecting it. While I didn't tire myself out (I think), I gave myself time to make sure the instrumentation was on point and that the transition towards the slowed point at the end was satisfying. Pokemon S/V - East Province (Catorstrax Remix) Catorstrax 2023-02-24 | It's here! The first Scarlet & Violet remix!I've been so excited to release this to everyone as I've had to put new releases on hold due to working on getting the streaming services all sorted. But now I'm back! And this isn't the only Scarlet and Violet remix I have as this one as well as an upcoming one will both be a part of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Megamix when that releases around February 27. I'm so excited to hear what everyone else has made for the megamix but at the same time I might have to put listening to it on hold as I *actually haven't finished the game.* Nevertheless, getting into the spirit of AlmightyArceus' megamixes has always been a staple of this channel!As for this remix in particular, I wanted to be able to start of the year with a bit of a bang while leaving it all open to a bit of experimentation. There's always been this nostalgic sense that came with Caleb's music. It's like playing your favourite childhood video game at night or something. It was also something I really wanted this remix to embody. The best part about colabing is obviously having the opportunity to combine distinct musical styles and I really believe this is something that shines here and makes this track so great!This is the only track I made for the Pokemon Autumn Megamix but I believe the effort Caleb and I put into it really makes up for that. Catorstrax - Neon Highway (Unreleased 2019 Track) Catorstrax 2022-09-11 | Here it is!Honestly, though, I don't really know how to phrase this because I don't think the track is all that bad but it certainly just feels different for me, mainly because I can tell from how it sounds that 2019 me made music very differently but it's also five and a half minutes long, which is something I try to refrain from nowadays due to personal taste.The coolest thing about it though, and part of the reason I uploaded it in the first place, is how fascinating it is to hear my unheard work from three years ago. This is very cliché but to see how much my music has changed over the years feels pretty satisfying and also encourages me to take some of the good elements of my roots to better my newer stuff.I'm not sure who the actual creator of the artwork in the video is unfortunately because I edited and exported the video three years ago and got the artwork off a wallpaper website.Enjoy.=D

I really wanted to release this track from the Summer Megamix on my own channel earlier but I've been having exporting issues with Premiere Pro for a week now which has been insanely annoying. Still, I've now managed to get it out and I'm really excited for you all to listen to this again or even listen to it for the first time!Out of the two remixes I made for the Nintendo Summer Megamix, this is personally my favourite and is also one of my favourite remixes I've made ever! When I first put a bit of this together after developing an idea for the chorus, I was SUPER excited! The Coconut Mall theme is my favourite theme in any of the Mario Kart games and being able to recreate it into something like this is fantastic. Catorstrax - Oceans Stars Catorstrax 2021-12-03 | I'm back once more! This time, to lighten up the start to your December with a super dreamy track. The name for this track is inspired by one of the ideas Snivys and I had for our Hau'oli remix.It's honestly kind of crazy how fast this year has felt for me, I still feel like it's March!
