You can use this video for whatever you want. Whether divine or not, you can't deny the tumultuous setting Jesus found himself in(or chose/placed whatever your beliefs are). I think Pontius' lack of resolve and his cowardice intrigued me the most. In the film, you can see Pontius' awareness of the Guiltless Jesus, both him and King Herod II "finding no cause" for crucifixion, even Pontius' wife was calling to spare Jesus. But the "difficulty" of politics that came with each decision he had to make, and the presiding authority of Roman judgment above him. I can see his perspective, being faced with the amount of insurrections he had, and what was possible for the near-future in terms of turmoil and public opinion, how violent and pressed the Jewish crowd was acting due to Caiaphas incitation. He was certainly under pressure already due to the Passover rebellions he had experienced both recently and yearly. Dude took the easy way out and I don't even think I can blame him, but in doing so, he cemented it into history for thousands of years to come. There's certainly a lot of depth there anyway.
