Falling in Love vs Being in Love. JR Alli 2023-05-02 | On a trip to Montreal, I sat down and decided to talk about an experience in my life, dealing with love and relationships.Short Film by: JR AlliI've been absolutely terrified of posting this video. I actually made this video at the end of last year, and decided to post it now because giving into the fear goes against the whole reason I started making videos to begin with. I thought to myself.. if even one other person could relate or is in the same situation I was in, maybe it could help pull them out of it quicker and switch their perspective. I'm sure someone in the comments will say "Man up, it's not that deep.." but that was the attitude I kept and it held me back from healing for a long time truly. Truthfully.. I got cheated on in this relationship, and part of me wanted to abandon the idea of Love completely. During this time I thought being performative in my life, pretending like I was okay, would eventually make my feelings subside. It took me awhile to feel what I was feeling wholeheartedly and accept it. My perspective shifted when I realized that if being myself wasn't enough for this relationship, there was nothing else I could ever do. That changing to please someone would turn me into someone I wasn't. In a way, I see this as a blessing in disguise. I had to rebuild my own self confidence, self belief and foundation for the Love within, something I don't think I fully had a true grasp on. The experience made me come to terms with these things that I never really faced because I was always just busy with my career and passions. Love is complimentary not something to complete you. The Guatemala Story JR Alli 2018-08-07 | A few months back I got asked to go on and document a trip in partnership with #VividRoots. What made this trip unique was the chance to give back and make a difference while travelling. This honestly was an adventure of a lifetime because of that. A Moment in KAUAI. JR Alli 2017-11-24 | During my trip to Hawaii last month I was able to visit a smaller island called Kauai for a few days with some talented creators. We slept in the rental car each night and used the two days to do as much as we could. Mountain Heli Ride Above The Clouds (Beautiful BC) JR Alli 2017-02-07 | A short edit I put together of one of the coolest experiences of my life.
