So this song is a little different from my other songs, besides it being non-pony. This song is kind of a shipping song, between Marceline and Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time. I originally was just going to make this a simple, soft shipping song. Then I kinda found this thing out about how Bubbline is canon. So I looked around, and found a video of the voice actor for Marceline talked to the creator of the show, and how they said the two dated before (but some people are saying that she is just joking with us). This CLEARLY is going to be some controversy involving this "fact." So while I was writing this song, I decided to make the song more emotional and put some more oomph on it. Since it was said that they dated before, it made me wonder what got them to break up. So I decided to write the song about that. As for why bubbline was never actually shown on the show, they said it was because that it's a kids show and that it shouldn't be shown. Also a relationship involving two of the same gender is illegal on some countries. So then I started to think that these facts are linked to why Marcy and PB broke up. I felt that Bubblegum wanted to stop their relationship because the Candy Kingdom and probably all of Ooo will look down upon her, and will cause lots of problems for her and her kingdom. So because of this decision, Marceline will clearly not be happy about this, which is also kinda shown a little bit in the episode "What Was Missing". I also wanted to put some sort of message in the song. About how it doesn't matter who you are, and that you have the right to love who you desire.
