MGB GT idle Grumpy RC Modeler 2024-10-10 | A new noise started in the front of the engine. yeaterday. It was only the fan rattling a little on the bushings. I added some washers to tighten it up and it sounds so good now. Nice low idle and great oil pressure.

Breaking in the new camshaft on my 1966 MGB GT Grumpy RC Modeler 2024-10-07 | I just finished a lto of engine and gearbox work and here I'm running the engine at 2500 rpm to break in the new camshaft. I didn't replace piston rings so I don't need to do any more break in than that.
MGB Roadster RC Car - 3D Printed Chassis - Kyosho Nostalgic Body Grumpy RC Modeler 2024-07-20 | My new 1/10 touring car body is this MGB Roadster. The green is Tamiya PS22 "Racing Green" and the chrome is chrome vinyl for wrapping cars. Works great to achieve a chrome effect on model parts. The body is a reproduction of the Kyosho Nostalgic series MGB that I bought from TeamBlueGroove. Remember to buy the accessories and windshield if you order from them.

QuakeQuest running on Pico 4 with chunky textures Grumpy RC Modeler 2023-10-17 | Playing Quake in VR is surprisingly fun. The Pico 4 GPU runs the game super smoothly at high resolution 90 FPS. The recording is 30 FPS but the game is perfectly smooth in the headset. I added an "autoexec.cfg" file in the ID1 folder with gl_texturemode GL_NEAREST in it to make it look more like good old software mode.
Worst landings ever - I almost wrecked my 3D printed EL-39 jet today Grumpy RC Modeler 2023-09-30 | I'm not a great pilot any more but today had very difficult winds. The airspeed seemed to change drastically when I descended beyong the tree tops and it made things extra squirrely... at least it gave me something to blame.

Long duration flight with my Freewing 70 mm F-16 - Almost 8 minutes Grumpy RC Modeler 2023-08-28 | This plane has great duration with the Molicel battery. 8 minutes of normal flying... which is actually too long for my taste so I might change to a slightly higher kv motor to get a slight performance upgrade instead of crazy duration. I can probably fly for 15 minutes if I only do cruise, but that's too boring to try.

My new F-16 is awesome! Grumpy RC Modeler 2023-08-25 | Trying to see how long I can safely fly it. It's got lots of power compared to my old one and really long flight times. This 6 minute flight spent just 2799 mAh of the 4500 mAh battery. I can probably fly up to 8 minutes like this.I damaged the nose retract trunnion on the first flight becuse it was very gusty so it was slightly loose but it was useable which is why it's kind of floppy and swinging back and forth while taxiing.

Maiden flight of a Freewing 70 mm F-16 with all moving elevators Grumpy RC Modeler 2023-08-24 | My friend gave me a wreck full of repairs, dents, cracks and damage so I fixed it up over the past couple of weeks and designed custom all moving elevators for it. It flew great.The elevators, EDF, nose gear and ventral fins are 3D-printed. The intake duct has been opened up a lot and the nose gear retract has been lowered to improve airflow. I also removed the center section of the carbon wing spar that blocks airflow in the duct and cleaned up the rudder linkage to reduce drag there as well.

No problem with my RTX 3070 and Pico 4 on highest resolution and highest settings. As you can see hitting high 70% GPU use at 72 FPS.Sorry about the stuttery recording. It's smooth in real gameplay.
