_Orphaned and mistreated, Jane Eyre has never known love. In the bleak landscape of 19th-century England, she struggles to find her purpose - and somewhere to belong. After years at boarding school, her path leads her to the mysterious Thornfield Hall, where she takes a position as a governess._
_There, she meets the dark and enigmatic Mr. Rochester, and what begins as a curious acquaintanceship soon blossoms into a love charged with passion and peril. But Thornfield and its brooding master hide deep secrets that will divide her loyalty and place Jane in an impossible position. Will she surrender, or will she be true to herself, no matter the cost?_

FreeSchool Presents: a closer look at komodo dragons. Komodo dragons are one of .1% of vertebrate species that are able to reproduce via parthenogenesis. This peculiar adaptation may allow komodos to spread to isolated habitats they would otherwise be unable to populate. Komodo dragons are also unjustly accused of having mouths so dirty that their bites will cause the victim to die of infection. Instead, they have venom that causes blood pressure to drop, encourage bleeding, and prevent clotting. As a result, any prey not killed outright usually dies of blood loss.

FreeSchool Presents: a closer look at arctic penguins. Penguins are not native to the Arctic, despite the fact that they seem so perfectly suited for life there that people have tried to introduce them multiple times. It's a question that needs an answer. Why have penguins never spread to the arctic when they seem ideally suited to it and have it within their power to swim on up? We investigate this question, and the reason behind their failure to thrive when introduced there, in this video.

Friction is a force that appears almost everywhere! It is produced when surfaces rub against each other. We rely on friction in our everyday lives. Friction between the bottom of your shoe and the floor allows you to walk. Friction between your hand and the doorknob is what allows you to turn it. Friction between the brake and the wheel is what stops a bike. Friction can be helpful or harmful, and too much or too little can cause serious problems. (Have you ever slipped on ice? Not enough friction!)

FreeSchool Presents: a closer look at black hole sounds. You probably know that black holes are massive dark bodies in space with such powerful gravity that nothing, not even light, can escape from them. But did you know that scientists have discovered that they make sounds? The actual sounds that they make are outside the range of human hearing, so astronomers have reconstructed sounds based on information in multiple wavelengths to help us understand the types of sound that a black hole would make.

Black holes are mysterious and difficult to observe. The first one was only identified in 1971, and black holes were not photographed until 2019! Black holes are not empty space: a black hole represents the greatest concentration of mass anywhere in the universe. So, if black holes are so hard to observe, how do we know about them at all? Black holes have a large impact on space and astronomical objects around them.
