A Brief Look at the Hero, Army and Castle Names - Marugoto! Suikoden

Raww Le Klueze 2025-09-17 | An often asked question is "What's the official name of this?" and the short answer is: "There isn't one." though that isn't strictly true in every sense, as there are certainly some names that have been used officially even if Konami refuses to state them as such.

So let's take a look at some "official" names and some that people just made up.

Suikoden Manga - The Beginning

Raww Le Klueze 2025-09-13 | The Beginning is a story in the 1998 Konami Parody Comic Series Genso Suikoden manga anthology written by the pseudonym Tanuki-san and illustrated by the pseudonym Kitsune-san.

While the true identities are not known, it's credited to the Suikoden Development Team and it's believed to be Yoshitaka Murayama himself that authored it as Konami development teams used animal names internally, Kitsune-san (Fox) was even the name for the team that did the Saturn version of Suikoden.

It's thus likely that this was the original intended canon depiction of this event, but from what we've seen of Star Leap thus far it is no longer compatible with the new canon.

Suikoden SEGA Saturn Translated - Pirate Kidnapping Event

Raww Le Klueze 2025-09-09 | The one entirely new story event in the Saturn version of Suikoden has the Lake Pirates kidnapping two (out of a possible 9) female members from the Liberation Army and holds them for ransom.

You don't need to bring Tai Ho and Yam Koo for the fight itself, and doing so won't change the event either, but the pirates' recruitment is slightly different from the Playstation version as well so I've included it at the end.

I've edited out most of the loading times so you don't fall asleep.

And for some absolutely god damned stupid reason Youtube thinks the sounds of the waves splashing is copyrighted music that has to be removed so I actually had to add music to some of those sections. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Suikoden Caravelle Manga Recap - Marugoto! Suikoden

Raww Le Klueze 2025-09-05 | Suikoden Caravelle is one of a set of three manga anthologies set in the Suikoden world around the time of Suikoden, Suikoden II and Suikogaiden. The other two are called Brunch and Alliance.

This mostly serves as a test for possible future content and to be clear, there is no fully translated version of this that I'm aware of, I translated and edited the images in this video. The Complete Suikoden Timeline - Marugoto! Suikoden

The Marugoto! doesn't include the events from Gaiden in its timeline and barely mentions Tactics so there are no entries for those, and very little about Suikoden IV, but I may have thrown in an easter egg not in the Marugoto.

Suikoden Retranslated - Confrontation with Luc (Hugo POV)
