Jamestown Story - Ive Been Blessed - Cover ft. GoreGoreGibson Sqwizzix 2018-01-15 | Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to a brand new song cover featuring my good friend GoreGoreGibson!This video was actually made back in August of 2015 but was never uploaded to my youtube channel due to copyright reasons. I was very adamant about avoiding copyright claims on my content when I first started my channel but have learned a lot about youtube and how it works over the years. This video will more than likely get claimed and It will not benefit me in any way but I was very proud of this cover and wanted to showcase all the hard work that me and Gibson put into this project.Since 2015 I have remastered and mixed the audio and completely scrapped the original video. I wanted to up the quality a bit for all of you to enjoy. Gibson approached me and asked if I would be interested in doing a cover of Jamestown Story “I've Been Blessed” and after listening to the song a few times I was hooked. This is the first song I have ever recorded where I played multiple instruments and remade an instrumental using only my ears. I had no sheets, tutorials, or anything to go off of. I made the entire instrumental to the best of my ability including the violin parts. Gibson did a great job with the vocals and we both think the final product turned out really well. I have never uploaded a song cover where I have a singer involved so I hope you guys will all enjoy something a little bit different and new to the channel. Popotan – “Popotan no Omoi” [Piano Cover] Sqwizzix 2017-09-15 | Experience is best with headphones.Welcome back ladies and gentleman to my 11th piano cover on this channel. This song cover is from a very old anime called “Popotan” and it's called “Popotan no Omoi”.I know this song might seem a bit random and no one has really ever heard of it but let me explain why I decided to learn and perform this song. Many years ago I was awake late at night and was having a very hard time sleeping. Something was on my mind but for the life of me I couldn't tell you what it was since it was so long ago. Anyway, I remember being really sad about something and turning on netflix on my laptop. I didn't feel like playing any games that night so I turned to the one other thing that always put a smile on my face and the feels in my heart... Anime. I browsed the anime selections on netflix but at the time anime wasn't really integrated into the netflix browser since it was kind of a new thing on the site. The selections were very limited but I was determined to find a new show to watch. As I was scrolling I saw a very colorful and playful thumbnail for a show called “Popotan”. I didn't know it at the time but that show would impact me for the rest of my life.So what exactly is Popotan you might be asking? Well, Popotan is a adult visual novel that received an anime adaptation about a year after it's release due to popular demand from it's fans in 2003. Now I didn't know that the show was derived from an adult visual novel when I started the show so I was surprised to say the least with the more ecchi adult suggested themes once I started watching. Yes the show is intended for a mature audience and there is “adult” imagery displayed throughout the show however, there were no sexually explicit scenes at all. That's not why I started watching it and was far from the reason why I stuck with the show til the end though.So why did I choose this song? At certain very emotional points throughout the show there was a song that would play in the background to add to the feeling and mood of that scene. That melody stuck with me from all those years ago and it wasn't until this past year that I remembered the name of the series and began my search for the title of that piece. The song was called “Popotan no Omoi” and was extremely hard to find any information on. I looked for tutorials, videos, and sheets for this song “even though I can't read sheet music”. I was desperate to find something in order to learn this song. There are only two other existing piano covers of this song on youtube right now and one was made 12 years ago and the other 6 years ago. The song isn't widely known so it's very hard to find. Even finding the original soundtrack to the anime series is something I have yet to do. This song has been with me for many years and will always hold a special place in my heart. There was something very touching about it in that time of my life and it stuck with me for all these years. That's what good music should do. It should stick with you for a lifetime and remind you of feelings you may have lost along the way. So thank you Popotan for all the memories and for being a constant reminder of why I love to play piano and what music means to me. I hope you guys enjoy this cover just like any song I upload on my channel. Each song takes a lot of time and effort and this one took a very long time to just find in order to learn. It was a real trip down memory lane to perform this piece and I hope I did a good job for all of you. Always remember that it might be the small things in life that make the biggest difference so try to cherish the little things. You might be surprised how much they could impact your future. That's something Popotan taught me all those years ago and I'm still thankful for the experience I had watching this story. Kingdom Hearts – “Dearly Beloved” [Piano Cover] Sqwizzix 2017-07-23 | Experience is best with headphones.Finally after being gone for 9 months I can say...Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to my 10th piano cover on this channel. This song cover is of my all time favorite video game series “Kingdom Hearts” and it's called “Dearly Beloved”.There are a ton of reasons why I wanted to do a cover of this song but right now just seemed like the right time to make this video. Kingdom Hearts 3 trailers have been dropping all over youtube and there is more hype around the series than ever before but that's not why I made this cover. This song has been on my list of songs to learn for many years now and the version that I am playing was composed by my good friend and fellow pianist Myuuji. After hearing his performance of this song I knew that I finally found the version I wanted to learn. I waited for a couple years before he released a tutorial and he was very happy to personally message me and tell me that he made it for me. So thank you Myuuji, this song holds a very special place in my heart and I can't thank you enough for sharing your composition with me. I really appreciate it. Kingdom Hearts was one of the first games that I ever played by myself and beat. It was the first video game in my life that I had put over 100 hours into as a kid and will always hold the title of my favorite video game series. Everything about these games is special and the soundtrack was truly the icing on the top of the cake. I used to come home from school and turn on my playstation, put Kingdom Hearts into the game tray, turn up the volume on my tv and listen to Dearly Beloved at the main menu for hours while I did my homework. There was always something about this song that had meaning to me in my life and I knew that I would perform it on piano one day when the time was right.It's not just for the games though, this song reminds me of loved ones who I have lost or are precious to me. I have a very hard time expressing emotion and I don't know exactly how to feel sometimes when things happen in my life. Sometimes I don't feel anything and it's very cold and scary. Not knowing if I should be hurting or happy is confusing and it weighs heavily on my mind. When I play the piano, people tell me that they hear what I feel and what I've experienced through my life. I can't show it and I don't like to talk about my past but somehow my music is my escape and in a way, each song brings out something in me that I didn't know I had anymore. So this one is for those who I love, those who I've loved, and those who one day I will love. I hope you guys enjoy this cover just like any song I upload on my channel. A lot of time and work went into this and I'm really happy with how it turned out. This song means a lot to me and I hope that you will always remember to cherish the love you have with those closest to you because they are dear and can't be replaced. I know not everyone will enjoy an anime based game but as for myself personally, I am having a lot of fun with it and I think it's one of the best anime based games I have ever played.As for the actual series of videos themselves, I am still finding my stride with let's play content and I feel a bit awkward and that I talk a little to much at some points but once I start recording and get the jitters out of the way, I am having a lot of fun and it feels pretty natural to record these types of videos. I kind of owe it to my awesome viewers from my twitch streams for helping me get comfortable with commentating for long periods of time over game play instead of pre recording a commentary. Live streaming has been good practice and I highly recommend trying it if you are looking to improve your commentary and being comfortable while recording but that's just my opinion. Shift Happens Episode 1! (Shake Da Booty!) Sqwizzix 2015-12-21 | Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to a brand new series and something a little bit different on this channel! In today’s video me and Gibson decided to try out a new game called “Shift Happens”. The game is a two-player Co-op platformer game made by Klonk Games. The objective of the game is very simple, just collect all 75 orbs in each level and the 1 bonus item. Use teamwork to maneuver through the maps and try your best to get past each obstacle. The game gets progressively harder as you play so you and your teammate have to be quick and precise which me and Gibby proved to not be either one of those lol. Just a quick note for anyone wondering, I decided to start uploading some different content on my channel until I can save up enough money for a new computer. I can't record Call of Duty Black Ops 3 on my Ps4 or my Xbox One right now because of limited voice chat capture so I'm trying to save up for a new PC so I can record new piano videos on that instead. Since I can't record the voice chat on consoles, that means that I can't record reactions for piano based videos. I only care if those people are enjoying my content and being a part of this community. Since I've been on YouTube, I've seen a lot of people change when they get a lot of subscribers. Some people only care about numbers, stats, and obviously money. I know that those things are all important but none of those are the reason why I upload videos for you all. I'm here to make you guys laugh, or just enjoy being a part of something that I have to offer. I don't feel like having so many people here entitles me to being “better” than anyone else. You guys are, and will always be as much a part of this whole channel as I am. As long as people are enjoying my videos and my presence here, than that's all I will ever need to be happy. I know a lot of people were asking me for a face reveal as well lol. I just don't see the point in doing one honestly. I'm not against it but I just don't think it matters that much. I'm not ruling it out yet but it's not that important to me right now. The only reason I would ever do one is to meet up with you guys in person and hang out. As for this video! I didn't make it all about me and the work I put into this channel. I know how much hard work and dedication I have towards all of this but I'm not the only one who puts in the work. Naruto – “Sadness and Sorrow” [Piano Cover] Sqwizzix 2015-12-07 | Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to a very special piano cover. This is my 7th piano cover on this channel and is the first time I have ever learned to play a song from one of my all time favorite animes “Naruto”. I present to you, my cover of Sadness and Sorrow.Naruto is where my love for anime began so I have always had a soft spot for this show and it's incredible soundtrack. Sadness and Sorrow is my favorite song from Naruto and is one of the most beautiful piano songs that I have ever had the pleasure of learning. This song holds so much raw emotion that it's hard to not to break down when listening to it especially after knowing how many sad moments it accompanied during the show. The reason I chose Sasuke as the character for this song cover was because I think that he had one of the saddest story archs in the entire show. His life really captures what this song is about and I think that the artwork just fit this song perfectly. Where is Sqwizzix!? – Black Ops 3 Update Video Sqwizzix 2015-11-23 | Welcome back ladies and gentlemen! In this video we take a look at Black Ops3 on the Playstation 4 and why it may not be the best fit for recording youtube videos.This is not a video that I wanted to make but after 2 weeks of trying to record on BO3 and coming up with nothing to show for all that effort, I figured that I had to make this video and fill you guys in on what's been going on and why there hasn't been any new videos lately. Black Ops 3 is an amazing game and no one should think that I'm bashing on it by any means. I'm really enjoying the game so far and feel like Black Ops 3 recaptured the true essence of the call of duty experience. All in all the game is well made but when it comes time to record new youtube videos for all of you, the ps4 doesn't allow clean audio quality that we normally get out of the Call of Duty franchise each year. I've been struggling with the audio portion of Black Ops 3 since the game came out. Technically I could make videos on Black Ops 3 but I don't think that youtubers should have to sacrifice audio quality of in game chat for no reason, especially when previous systems were able to output the same audio but in better quality. I figured that I could make this video as both an update and kind of a demonstration to those thinking about getting a ps4 for youtube purposes. I'm working on coming up with some solutions so I can continue making more content for this channel. I'm not planning on stopping anytime soon but it has been a rough start as far as recording next gen games. Fairy Tail –【黄金の草原】– Golden Grasslands [Piano Cover] Sqwizzix 2015-11-06 | This is my Second Fairy Tail song cover and my 6th piano cover on my channel :D I present to you "Fairy Tail" The Golden Grasslands!I don't know much about this piece as far as its origins. I know the song makes an appearance in the 2014 version of the anime "Fairy Tail". In one episode when Lucy Returns from the future she awakens in a field of golden grass where she is greeted by her friends from the Fairy Tail guild. This is why most believe this song to be titled "Golden Grasslands" due to the scene in that episode. The official song has no name. It is the short version of the 2014 main theme song which is also known as OST 27 but has not been given an official release title at this point. Since the song is not yet released I have decided to leave the title "Golden Grasslands" because that's what it makes me think of. The song has no official sheet music and every tutorial of the song I found was wrong in one way or another. I learned this song completely by ear and I think I got pretty close to the original. I had a lot of trouble recording this song because it is very simple so finding the right balance for the tones was kind of tricky but I think I did an alright job overall. I never thought in a million years that this community would be what it is today and in only 1 years time. “The Piano Entertainer” - Special Announcement Trailer Sqwizzix 2015-08-30 | Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to something a little different for this channel. “The Piano Entertainer” - Special Announcement TrailerSo this video is definitely something different for my channel. This is an official announcement slash teaser trailer for the upcoming piano entertainer videos on the PS4. Basically, I am going back to where it all started. Long before I was on xbox 360 I had a ps3. I have been a playstation gamer my whole life and actually started playing the piano for people online on my PS3. I only switched to Xbox 360 because I knew I could find better opportunities for myself on xbox live. However, with the release of the “Next Gen” consoles such as Xbox One and the Playstation 4, I found myself leaning back towards my roots and had to make a tough decision to leave my xbox friends and get the better gaming system for myself and my channel. “That's just my opinion!” I'm making a big jump with this announcement both for myself and for you guys! I hope I will meet some awesome subscribers on the PS4 just like I did on my Xbox. I'm not quitting Xbox completely but since gaming is moving forward, I find it harder to jump between the gaming systems and pay for both services. It's just time to move on to the newer generation and start making my content better for everyone to enjoy. I love all my Xbox subs and friends but I'm hoping to start a new journey with my PS4 and meet all kinds of new people.As far as the video, The beta for BO3 was a ton of fun and I was trying out sniping for a change of pace. I have never actually tried to use the sniper rifles competitively or for clips in any of the previous Call of Duty titles before. I was happy with the small clips that I hit in the beta and really didn't have any other footage of myself playing the beta besides me sniping. So I decided to mix some of the clips that I hit and some cinematics into one video to make this trailer. The editing was very bizarre and I have to tip my hat to anyone who makes montages professionally because I had no idea what I was doing HAHAHA. Regardless, I am happy about how the video turned out and had a lot of fun making it and as always I hope you guys all enjoyed it. I wanted to apologize for being inactive this past week as well. I was summoned for jury duty and got stuck with a 5 day trial and couldn't make videos for that amount of time. Thank you all supporting this channel and for 75,000 subscribers! Sword Art Online OST – “入札感”~ “A Tender Feeling” – Piano Cover Sqwizzix 2015-08-09 | My 4th Piano Cover ^__^This song is from one of my all time favorite anime series “Sword Art Online”Experience is best with Headphones!This song was originally knows as Lisbeth's theme because it plays during an episode in season 1 when the main protagonist of the show “Kirito” find himself helping out a girl named “Lisbeth”. The song was a very nice touch to add emotion to the dialogue of this episode but no one actually knew the name of the song. Later on however, the OST “Original Soundtrack” for SAO season 1 was released and the official name of the song was decided as “A Tender Feeling”. This song was requested by a few of my subscribers and seeing as it is from one of my favorite shows and from one of the best anime soundtracks I have ever heard, I really wanted to do a cover of it. I know the video is short but there is no full transcription of this piece on piano to cover the entire song at this time. Some versions are much more complicated but I went with the very simple and emotional version that best reminded me of those feelings I had when watching that episode. Project~G Sqwizzix 2015-07-18 | Welcome to Project~G. This is something new for this channel and I hope you all enjoy it. Project~GI'm always looking for ways to add variety to this channel and figured that just because I can't play guitar, that's no reason why I can't enjoy the sound of a guitar. Project~G or Project~Guitar was a very interesting spin off of my usual piano entertainer series. I think it went well for the first time trying it out. This video took me about 60 hours to edit. I hand animated each frame after the first 15 seconds of the intro. Each frame was done in photoshop and transferred to sony vegas. It was extremely technical but I'm very happy with the result. I hope you all enjoy the video and leave me your feedback on this as a potential series on the channel. Regarding Copyright!The intro for my video is a “Sword Art Online” theme. The first 10 seconds of the video are directly drawn from the anime series however, everything after that was all hand animated. All copyright claims will be disputed in the case they arise. Call of Duty: “The Piano Entertainer” Ep. 5 – Instrumental TDM Sqwizzix 2015-07-01 | “Copyright Issue Description”This video was previously uploaded on my channel on January 2nd but was hit with 2 copyright claims from Sungha Jung Music. Sungha Jung is an acoustic finger style guitar player on youtube who has made a career of playing the guitar. He is a copyright protected artist. “Let the record show that I am not mad at Sungha Jung or his music company for this claim. I understand the lines of copyright but the scenario in which the music was used and the content of the claim seemed a little unfair to me. I apologize for the removal of the video.”In this video we met Sing n String who claimed to be an acoustic guitar player who challenged us to a musical duel between guitar and piano players. The songs that Sing n String played for us were not his songs and he was not performing them. He was directly taking content from multiple youtube channels such as Sungha Jung and Peter Gergely and playing them into his headset pretending to be the actual musician. Unfortunately, as a result of his actions the original video was hit by 2 copyright claims on Sungha Jungs songs. I tried to have the claims removed but could not get in contact with the company to discuss the usage of the music. I then tried to remove the songs but youtube could not successfully accomplish this task for some unknown reason. My final option was to leave the video on youtube, however I did not like the idea of having a potential copyright strike come and cripple the channel at anytime. So I ended up removing the video and editing out the songs myself as a final effort of resolve. I then re uploaded the video for a second time and the video was hit with a 3rd copyright claim but this time on one of the piano players. XGN Musician was playing "Thousand Years" on his keyboard but was not actually playing the copyright protected song. I disputed this claim with 8 different companies and won over the claim in the eyes of 6. 2 of the companies rejected my claim and in the end I had to go remove XGN Musicians first song. Thank you to those companies that dropped the claim and to those who rejected "Pound Sand" you are wrong on this claim and are messing with my content. I apologize for this effecting your viewing experience and thank you for your support and understanding. I hope you will all enjoy the video regardless of the changes made and show it the same support as when it was in its prime.If at all possible, I would love to see this video get back on track to its original statistics. The goal to beat is 29,830 views and over 1,000 likes. I hope we can get it back up to those numbers.I truly am sorry for this happening. I hope you all understand the position I was put in and the tough choices I had to make to correct this issue.
