Particularly in the special arena...Normally you can just whistle straight away and receive what ever buff the cat decides to give. However, both players will NOT receive said buff. It must have something to do with proximity and the timing of the rope transition mechanic. The only choice you have is to either let the cat play the whistle on their own during the quest, or find a time when whistling is convenient once having crossed the crawlspace threshold into the monsters territory....Of course the third option was farming for double attack buff. Another instance where I don’t understand why Capcom makes things like this an issue? Why make it so both players CANT get the buffs at the begging if of the quest from only 1 of the cats? Why? Meaning we don't just kill but break enough parts for the Highest Tier of reward level available.We must have reset over 1000 times for this. I got like 10+ clears that were all in the 1:3x's because it would always do 1 or more attacks before it would flip. I was done farming for the instant flip and was about to post my PB of 1:33. The next day I got on to play multi player for a while (Yes I love MP) and decided to give it a few more goes and boom. I got instant flip 2 quests in a row. But what always happened was that I needed slugger 5 and Heroics 7. Which wasn't viable at the time with Safi weapons. The KO and claggers all worked fine but the Damage was not there to kill and I would not get the second clagger. Fatalis weapons and armor changed everything. This run would be IMPOSSIBLE to do on console (for me) PC has:- Fixed Sizes - Lowest HP roll- 100% Random Bird - 100% Attack Buff Palico- Set Food SkillsAll of these things are needed for this run/script to work. Resetting for all of these elements on console would take months, then of course there's monster AI and you have to play perfectly when the stars align and everything goes how you want it. Please don't compare PC and Console. That being said I think those RNG elements are unnecessary and don't do anything positive for anyone, none of which the game cant live without. Speed running would benefit from a setting where the only RNG is the monster AI, Everything else should be constant/fixed. It is not a testament of a players skill if he spends 6 months on 1 run vs someone who simply cannot spend that much time playing. Nor is it mentally healthy to do so. A setting with less unnecessary RNG elements would make for a healthier community. And the arena does not scratch that itch for me personally. I have also never hated anything more. I would not change a single thing. In fact, I think this is a good direction the game should head towards. This run is sloppy, and I have a few other with much better DPS that would have been around 12 - 13 minute but I died in every one -_- this is fine for now, I need a break and there is much more I want to do in the game.Over all 10/10 imo this is wonderful, intense, very difficult but over all rewarding.
