Generally, we each had 1 hour to work on this edit while recording our screens so it can then be made into a speed edit and it was a lot of fun. I did the first part which included all the time remapping, pancrop and shake and Capri did the rest with his colours, effects and sfx. I also recorded all the frags and smooths beforehand but those aren’t included in this video. So yeah, if you’ve ever wondered how I do my time remapping, here you go. Same goes for my shake which honestly adds so much to this edit. It looked shit without it while making it. Sadly I didn’t manage to get any 2D in because I ran out of time (and I’m hesitant to share my secrets). Because I’ll be pretty inactive since I’m nearing my senior finals, I’m going to take what I have and make it into a full “sinkified” edit with 2D and all that jazz. Scrapped Edits Siink 2014-07-01 | Reasons for scrapping:Edit 1 (Believe): Did most of this edit about 2-3 months ago and thought the skill level it displayed was far off from how I've developed since starting it. I also couldn't make a CC that I both liked and fit on all clips. Also could not think of any good 2D that fit with both the song and the edit so I decided to scrap it. It also has a weirdly trippy colour effect on the CC that I sort of like but am undecided on.Edit 2 (No name yet):I decided to scrap this edit because at the time of recording the frags, it didn't have any configs on the clips. As well as that, I didn't feel the movement in the frags were what I first imagined in my head when hearing the song. I might redo this edit with the same song, but I have something else first. Update: I've been working on a really big and really exciting project for the past few days. It's going to be an edit that focuses mostly on the cinematic aspects due to the nature of the song, so be excited for that :)
