"Almost all SETI searches to date have explicitly targeted stars in the hope of detecting artificial radio or optical transmissions. It is argued that extra-terrestrials (ET) might regard sending physical probes to our own Solar System as a more efficient means for sending large amounts of information to Earth. Probes are more efficient in terms of energy and time expenditures; may solve for the vexing problem of Drake's L factor term, namely, that the civilization wishing to send information may not coexist temporally with the intended recipient; and they alleviate ET's reasonable fear that the intended recipient might prove hostile."
JOHN GERTZ is the President and CEO of Zorro Productions, Inc. He has produced four Zorro motion pictures, including The Mask of Zorro (1998) and its sequel, The Legend of Zorro, with Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. During his tenure, 14 different TV versions of Zorro have been produced, as well as more than 75 ZORRO stage productions. In 2005, together with world-renowned author Isabel Allende, he released the best-selling novel about the genesis of Zorro. He teamed up with Quentin Tarantino to create the graphic novel, Django/Zorro, currently being developed into a motion picture by SONY. Gertz is the worldwide lead producer of Zorro: The Musical, with a score by the Gipsy Kings, which premiered on London’s West End in 2008 and has since been produced throughout the world. Gertz is a leader in the field of SETI, the search for extraterrestrial intelligence, having served three terms as chairman of the board of the SETI institute; and he has published a number of theoretic papers in peer reviewed astronomical journals.

On the night of July 19th, 1952 something rather strange happened on two fronts in North America. At that time, one of the most puzzling UFO flaps in history was happening in the Washington, DC area including multiple radar returns and visual sightings from people in several locations. At Mount Palomar observatory in Southern California, a pair of photographic plates were taken about one hour apart, one just before 9 pm, the other just before 10 pm local time. In these plates, one showed a cluster of three star-like points, essentially indistinguishable from stars. But in the second plate, the points had abruptly and inexplicably disappeared.

"In a remarkable discovery, astronomers have found a disc around a young star in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a galaxy neighboring ours. It’s the first time such a disc, identical to those forming planets in our own Milky Way, has ever been found outside our galaxy. The new observations reveal a massive young star, growing and accreting matter from its surroundings and forming a rotating disc. The detection was made using the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) in Chile, in which the European Southern Observatory (ESO) is a partner."

Tim BurchettEvent Horizon2023-07-26 | In a remarkable show of bipartisanship the United States House of Representatives held an open hearing on the subject of UFOs, one in a series that’s expected to be ongoing in hopes of unraveling what the US government actually knows about the UFO/UAP phenomenon. Three witnesses, David Fravor, Ryan Graves and David Grusch laid out their testimony in regards to how they encountered the phenomenon of UFOs and put it squarely on the congressional record.
Where this leads is anyone’s guess, especially in regards to aviation safety and the testimony of David Grusch that the US government has in its possession downed examples of technology that for lack of a better term is not of this earth. What that actually entails remains to be seen, this could all be a huge disinformation campaign of some type, but it could also be something more.
My guest today, Representative Tim Burchett of East Tennessee, was one of those members of Congress asking the questions, and my question to him is where do we go from here?

And they’ve already found at least one rather strange anomalous object in the search that may be related. So join us for a very special exclusive Saturday bonus edition of Event Horizon with Dr. Loeb aboard the expeditionary vessel itself.
The search for technosignatures has come to the forefront of both SETI through radio, but many other areas of astronomy and indeed has become a focus for NASA. But there has always been one area of the question that has not been well studied in science, the idea of a close technosignature. It is within the laws of physics for objects of alien origin to pass through or be stationed within the solar system, and even enter the earth’s atmosphere and its ocean.
My guest today has appeared with us on Event Horizon many times, indeed, he was the first ever guest on this show. But this time Avi Loeb is in a rather unique setting reporting to us on location regarding finding and retrieving fragments the first known interstellar meteor. And things are happening on that count, as part of the Greater Framework of the Galileo project.
Avi joins us today, on expedition, aboard the expeditionary vessel Silver Star currently located off the coast of Papua New Guinea. This was not meant so much as an interview, it would have been difficult for Dr. Loeb to hear me under the circumstances of standing on the deck of the ship, rather the Galileo Project is meant to be an open probe into close technosignatures, be they UAP or interstellar objects of unknown origin, so here is a tour of the expedition so far given by Dr. Loeb himself for the Event Horizon audience. I hope you enjoy.
If you would like to follow the daily progress, and discoveries, of the expedition as they happen, Avi is chronicling the voyage in near real time with multiple posts each day at his blog at avi-loeb.medium.com for fee, in the open, and with materials analyses they can do onboard the ship. Additionally, I’m check out the Galileo Project’s homepage at https://projects.iq.harvard.edu/galileo/home. Things do not get more exciting than this, and stay tuned to Event Horizon for any new developments in the analyses of any recovered unusual materials.

After serving as a representative for the UAP Task Force and co-lead for UAP analysis, Grusch revealed astonishing information. According to his account, the United States Government, along with its allies and defense contractors, has been engaging in the recovery of extraterrestrial objects that are unmistakably of non-human origin for several decades.
Now, Avi Loeb of Harvard has written an essay explaining why, if true, the craft made by non human intelligence should be studied by scientists in academia, and the knowledge that we are not alone should not be classified.

For over 150 years, researchers have been perplexed by the purpose and meaning behind the mysterious non-figurative signs found in over 400 caves, including renowned locations like Lascaux, Chauvet, and Altamira. However, utilizing a comprehensive database of images spanning the European Upper Palaeolithic, our guests present a groundbreaking theory on how three commonly occurring signs were actually units of communication.
In this captivating discussion, we speak to Dr. Tony Freeth and Ben Bacon as they explain hrough extensive analysis, we propose that when these signs appear in close proximity to animal depictions, they serve as numerical representations of months. In fact, they form integral components of a local phenological and meteorological calendar.

Its velocity is so immense that if it were present within our solar system, it could traverse the distance from Earth to the Moon in a mere 14 minutes. This extraordinary entity takes the form of a supermassive black hole, boasting a weight equivalent to that of 20 million Suns. In its wake, it has left an awe-inspiring trail, a celestial spectacle never witnessed before—a 200,000-light-year-long "contrail" adorned with newly born stars. This cosmic trail spans twice the diameter of our own Milky Way galaxy. Remarkably, this stunning phenomenon is believed to have arisen from an exceptionally rare and peculiar cosmic encounter involving three colossal black holes, akin to a game of galactic billiards.
Pieter van Dokkum of Yale University joins john michael godier on event horizon to discuss the runaway black hole candidate.

In 2017, astronomers identified 1I/‘Oumuamua as the first interstellar object ever observed in our Solar System. While it lacked typical cometary activity, ‘Oumuamua exhibited a notable non-gravitational acceleration, leaving experts struggling to explain its origins. Previous models suggested outgassing of hyper-volatile molecules, but inconsistencies remained. In this video, we explore a new theory, by Dr. Jennifer Bergman and Darryl Seligman, that proposes ‘Oumuamua's acceleration was caused by the release of entrapped molecular hydrogen, which formed from energetic processing of an H2O-rich icy body.
