Music I adore #655 Champion Revalis Song (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild) Nijipoop 2018-07-21 | One of my absolute favourites from Breath of the Wild. Though Revali himself is kind of an upnosed egoist, his theme (wierdly enough though) fits the character very well. It gives you the feeling that he was looked up upon as a grand champion and a skilled warrior who was very much aware of this which made it into his livelihood and set the tone for his personality. Music I adore #650 Fossil Falls/Main Theme (Super Mario Odyssey) Nijipoop 2018-06-23 | The Main Theme of Super Mario Odyssey which is used in Fossil Falls, the first level in the game after the tutorial. This is such a great theme that fits with the adventurous and magical feeling of the entire game. When I heard this theme after entering the level I was so glad because I had already heard a prototype of it in the first trailer for the game and fallen in love with it, hearing it in full orchestration with acoustic guitar in the background and a staggering accordion solo in the middle was just what i had imagined. While Jump Up, Super Star! will be the most recognizable and popular theme of this game, Fossil Falls is the most epic and powerful theme that made me addicted to this game an its soundtrack in the first place. Music I adore #648 Accordion Song (Sonic The Hedgehog) Nijipoop 2018-06-23 | This is a beautiful little theme from Sonic The Hedgehog (2006) that the developers snuck into the game, which is possible to hear if you encounter a man who's playing accordion on the streets of Soleanna, kind of like Kass in Breath of The Wild except this guy doesn't do anything more than just playing. They have always put a lot of effort in composing and arranging these themes ever since the first one on the good old N64. If I would pick a favourite amongst all these great themes I would actually go with the original N64 theme, there's just something incredibly catchy and captivating about it. Its dark, eerie and would might be more suitable for a film like Harry Potter, but it actually fits very well into this universe anyway. I really like the tone that Kirkhope went with here, too bad that the game is so unlikable.

Fall or Autumn is actually one of my favourite periods of the year. As nature eventually comes to a stop, plants and trees stop growing and eventually becomes colored in various shades of red, yellow, orange and brown. The atmosphere quiets down as the wild and frolicking noises of summer becomes a silent murmur of leaves blowing in the wind. It becomes colder and darker which makes it a perfect time to sit indoors in front of a warming fire while you drink a hot beverage of your choice.The Smell of Mushroom from Stardew Valley depicts the atmosphere of this season very well as it captures its quiet and calm feel.Hope you enjoy!
Music I adore #630 Lanayru Desert Collection (The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword) Nijipoop 2018-03-31 | Lanayru Desert is one of my absolute favourite areas in the zelda series and my one favourite in Skyward Sword itself. I just love the atmosphere and that the place has an ancient history that gives it much more of a personality than any other desert. The province of Lanayru used to be a frolicking green country but due to time and rapid climate changes it eventually became a vast and empty desert, as no humans were there to take care of it nor the robots that inhabited the land either. Link is however aloud to get a glimpse into the past thanks to the so called Timeshift Stones scattered across the land, as if you activate them they turn a limited portion of the area into its former self, thus making it possible to use the presently depleted technology, communicate with the otherwise malfunctioning robots and to get rare items only visible in this state.The Desert is one of the biggest places in the game and eventually Link reaches the Lanayru Sand Sea located at the corner of the desert. With abandoned harbors, shipyards and even a pirate stronghold this place is eeringly majestic. Here it's also possible to take a glimpse into the past and even ride on a boat into the sand sea itself. The mechanics of these areas are just so incredibly enjoyable and clever as you have to activate and deactivate the stones to solve the puzzles in order to get to your goal.The music that they composed for this desert is also incredibly enjoyable and makes to the atmosphere of it so much more. It's melancholic, peaceful and harmonizing. It depicts the feel of the represented areas so well and makes you emotionally invested in the stories that they have to tell. A land which once was a highly advanced society that now only has an empty shell left, deserted and now living in the shadow of it's former self. This theme are one of those video game themes that proves that you don't always need a very complicated melody to make a memorable and enjoyable theme. it plays somewhat the same notes and patterns throughout the whole tune but with variating compilations of those notes and patterns, as well as constantly building up to a stronger melody until it eventually fades out. Music I adore #618 Christmas Special 3 (2017) Snowpeak (The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess) Nijipoop 2017-12-17 | While snow and ice during christmas is a wonderful thing, wintertime is also a very dark and cold season. In the northern parts of sweden there are only a few hours of light during the day and then it becomes pitch dark again like it was night. This can be a though enviorment to live in if your'e not used to it.Snowpeak from Twilight Princess depicts the dark and empty side of winter with a mountain peak covered in snow and almost no wildlife or vegetation except for a few pine trees and wolves howling in the distance. I really like this desolate and melancholic feel of this theme with a faint female choir in the background and a few notes of the Hyrule Field theme embedded into the melody. one of my absolute favourite winter themes.Hope you enjoy!

Music I adore #615 Majoras Mask Battle Collection (The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask) Nijipoop 2017-10-31 | Last but not least we have a collection of the battle themes with Majora's Mask.While The Groke creeps me out the most, another nightmare fuel from my childhood is the battle with Majora's Mask and its incarnations. The game as a whole has a very dark tone to it but the final battle sure takes the cake.After confronting the Skull Kid atop of the Clock Tower he screams out a magic spell and rushes The Moon towards the surface. To stop him Link must summon The Four Giants to hold the moon in place. after doing so the Mask releases itself from the Skull Kid and flies away inside the moon. Hurrying after Link is then teleported to a garden with a lonely tree in the middle where four children carrying the masks of the previous defeated bosses runs around. Talking to them activates a challenge each which eventually leads to Link being rewarded with the Fierce Deity Mask, the most powerful mask in the game. Once all four challanges are completed Link can now proceed to the fifth child sitting lonely beside the tree with Majora's Mask on his face. He too has a challange for you...You are taken to a room with variating colors on the walls, the Last Day theme plays in the background and as you step into the middle the four boss masks soars away from you and are placed on four of the rooms walls. After this the Mask in the middle, Majora's Mask awakens and an epic battle begins. After defeating the mask and its magical spells it suddenly takes a new form, a creature with thin legs and arms and an eye above the mask which is now centered on the body. The incarnation then starts running across the room and acting very wierd like dancing and moonwalking. Once defeated the mask takes yet another form, Its final form or its wrath if you so prefer. With pulsating muscles and a mad temperament the greatest and most toughest foe Link may have ever encountered stands before him, but with the help of the Fierce Deity Mask he eventually defeats the creature. And so comes the end of Majora's Mask and the destruction of The Moon. An epic battle indeed but it sure left alot of shivers down my spine. The themes for the battle are divided into four: To The Moon, Majora's Mask Battle, Majora's Incarnate Battle and Majora's Wrath Battle. All of these are unique and special in their own way but they all have a common thread which is the use of instruments, percussions and the theme of the mask being present in all four themes. My favourite of the bunch is perhaps the battle with the mask itself, a very dark and kind of melancholic melody with tones of those percussions used in "Majora's Theme". Music I adore #614 Horror Land (Mario Party 2) Nijipoop 2017-10-31 | Let's continue with a more lighthearted theme from one of many favourite games, Mario Party 2. Horror Land is one of the many boards of the game and whats unique about this one is that it changes from day and nighttime. On the day it looks like a regular village with some minor spooky aspects while on the night is changes to a monsterland with ghosts creeping around, creepy lightning effects and some roads and events are only active around nighttime. The theme fits well with the board and is very memorable, it sure is one of the may greats of this series.Hope you enjoy!
Music I adore #613 Mårran/The Groke (Moomin) Nijipoop 2017-10-31 | Happy Halloween! This year I've got 3 theme that differs quite alot from each other. The Groke or Mårran as she's called in swedish is one of the most terrifying and creepy characters I've ever encountered in any cartoon and in general actually. If you're not familiar with the character, The Groke is a ghostlike being that appears in various of Tove Janssons stories about the Moomins. Other than having a very unpleasant appearance she is also very cold, so cold that the mere touch of her body freezes you whole. To top it all of her only means of communication is a sharp growling noise that echoes beyond the horizon. She appears in a selection of the episodes of the 1990s series but the ones she's most known for are the ones based of the book "Finn Family Moomintroll" or "Trollkarlens Hatt" in swedish. This spooky creature scared the life out of me when I was a kid and still to this day gives me shivers whenever I see a picture of her or watch any of the episodes where she appears. Though she is actually not an evil being but rather very lonely and does not know how to properly communicate the right way to make friends, rather sad if you think about it...So why uploading a theme for a character that creeps me out you may ask. First of all the composition fits very well with the feeling of when the other characters of the series encounters with The Groke aswell as being used for many other unexplainable and eerie scenes. You could also say that it fascinates me and reminds me of how much a piece of music makes to the rest of the effects in a scene.
