When I first took on this project all those years ago, never could I have imagined how far it would go. This truly is the end of an era. There are a million different things I could say in this description, but I think I'll save my thoughts for an entirely separate video. A sort of Q & A video, perhaps. I had fun putting together this video, and although I have very limited editing experience, I think I did this level justice with this clear video. At the very least, I certainly conveyed the hype around it and its completion. I intend on posting this level to the servers with the use of the custom Pretendo server. As of this video release, I've yet to do so, but we've waited nearly 7 years for this level so far, so I think most of you will be fine waiting just a bit longer. SMB1 Normal WR Comparison ~ PC Versus Switch (Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania) ChainChompBraden 2022-02-23 | Traded this record a few times in the past with Helix, and with us currently ending up in a tie, I felt like I had to make a comparison for fun. As a bonus, both of these runs are our respective first deathless runs. I thought it was over for me after getting a terrible Banana Plate, which was somehow even slower than Helix’s already slow one. Was pleasantly surprised to clutch it out with a virtually perfect Polar Large. My timeloss on Unrest is probably the worst looking mistake, even if not the most costly. This probably isn’t the end for either of us, but it’s a nice place to be for now!
[World Record] Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania: SMB1 Normal in 1:36.48 (Switch) ChainChompBraden 2022-02-03 | Honestly, not done with this category because of one obvious mistake. That being said, this was still a fantastic run, so I figured I ought to upload the video anyways since it might be a little while before I improve on it anyways. And I mean... it's the world record currently, so I suppose that warrants a video. While I have a 34 second lead (kind of crazy) on the Switch leaderboards, the PC leaderboards have a couple 1:39 times on them.Obligatory mention that I'm still streaming Trials of Death regularly. All of my recent YT uploads have been Monkey Ball, so I may put out an update video just to let the people that don't follow me as closely know it's still coming.
(World Record) Super Monkey Ball SMB1 Master in 1:35.73 (Switch Rank 1) ChainChompBraden 2021-12-23 | While I've had better paces, it's just a matter of hitting the strat on Spring Master and finishing the run deathless. I'm aware there's a pause buffer setup for it, but I prefer not to use it. I do have the SMB1 Marathon Switch record, though I haven't uploaded any public videos of it yet, as I'm still chipping away at the time. Actually, most of my previous uploads here are already obsolete from my own improvements.

I'll take what I can get, and this is quite solid. I could continue for a better (and deathless) run, but at this point I might as well try doing that with the green goal on stage 11. I may have a 20 second lead over 2nd place on the Switch, but this only beats the PC record by just under 2 seconds. We're over 3,700 hours in at this point. And yes, the level has continued to get harder. It's been buffed quite a bit since the previous death at the final section. My First SMM2 Level (details in the description!!) ChainChompBraden 2019-06-30 | Usually I don’t post videos for minor levels like this, but it’s my first SMM2 level, so why not? I just used the Switch Capture feature instead, hence the abrupt ending and part where I clearly stitched the 2 captures together. Long story short, it wouldn’t work in SMM2 with all of the physics changes. It’s always been my own personal challenge, so that’s completely fine by me. “But Braden, not as many people will get to experience it in SMM1!” It doesn’t matter. Was harder to make, than to beat, that's for sure. The triple P-switch jump at the end of the level literally only exists so that people can't easily inflate the clear rate if they happen to find cheese in the first section, because honestly, there probably is some safer way to do it. I just didn't care enough to check. And yeah, yeah, yeah, Trials of Death is still on the way. Precision Wars Level: [PW] Bradens Level ChainChompBraden 2018-03-24 | This was my level for the Precision Wars event held by QBrain. This level was raced in the lower bracket semi-finals. Unfortunately..... nobody got past the first section during the race. Whoops. Was a bit of a pain to upload without being able to use checkpoints (mainly because of the beginning), but with checkpoints, it's definitely beatable if anyone wants to play it on their own time (and I hope someone eventually goes for a deathless clear). The hardest part of the level was coming up with a name for it. Yoshi Crossing: Marathon Edition ChainChompBraden 2017-09-06 | This was a level I had uploaded at the very beginning of this year. A sequel to my original Yoshi Crossing, that was just 10 blocks across. But an entire full length level of this gimmick? Many people wondered how it was even possible, and to be honest, it shouldn't be humanly possible.... that is with the exception of a very precise window of opportunity in which you can safely get "trapped" behind the back Yoshi.For those unfamiliar, the concept here is that noteblocks will act as regular platforms if they are simultaneously being hit from below. But it's not quite so simple, as standing directly over a Yoshi will crush him, and the noteblock will return to its original state. To get a sense of how inconsistent and difficult it really is, I suggest trying out the original Yoshi Corssing. This full screen version simply existed to see how long it would take until someone figured out (or got extremely lucky) to figure out the secret to this level. Congrats on XTA for finally being the one to do so.

Longest (and worst) Mario Maker Level ~ Trials of Time ChainChompBraden 2016-12-10 | First of all, I'm sorry for creating this level. Actually, not really. Yes, what you're seeing is correct. A level that takes over 2 and a half hours to complete in one run and ends with a rather unforgiving final jump. I only died on the last jump on one attempt, although this actually took me 3 attempts as I once accidentally hit left instead of up while at a door (over halfway through). I expect someone, or perhaps even multiple people to add their eventual names to the clear list on this level. I just hope that I won't be the only one to experience a yattenai. Before anyone asks, yes, I am still working on uploading the true terror that is Trials of Death. It's just that it's not the absolute only thing that I do. [SMM] Extreme Sadistic Torture World ChainChompBraden 2015-11-30 | Yes, this really did take me over 74 hours to complete (It was still early in the game's life, cut me some slack :P). I didn't time how long it took to build, but I built it from the ground up in a single day. I have literally died in every possible way on this level, including 3 deaths on the final section. Nerves really get you on this level due to its extreme length. Also, something to note is that this is an edited video compiled to show each section as if it were a single run, hence why you may have noticed the score and coin counter randomly switching back to 0. I did however keep the timer constant. I obviously wasn't going to record every attempt until I beat the level, so I just put this together following my actual completion. I'll be taking a LONG break from making levels. This one really pushed me to my limit. Sorry about having to film this level with just a phone. Who knows though, maybe someone else may eventually complete this and upload it in good quality. I'd be impressed. Edit: It happened.
