Gemmy Life Size Realistic Santas Movement Components Fried! - Featuring DSR! More Updates To Come! Taylor Klapak 2022-08-17 | Alright so as you guys can tell from the title, the movement components on the circuit board obviously fried. John (Dark Shadows Reviews) was helping me figure out why the motor for the dancing wasn't working originally, so he was having me unplug certain things on the board that control the movements and even plugging some in different spots just to see if anything changes. Then after a while when I stopped filming since the battery on my camera died, I noticed that the mouth might've been splitting when I put the head on it. And once I wanted to update you guys the next day and show you specifically of what I was talking about, next thing you know that happens all of the movements stopped working. It was like one problem after another with this thing. Hopefully eventually I can get this guy working again and if/when I start messing with it again, I'll give you guys some more updates on the process of repairing it. 2008 Gemmy Animated Singing & Dancing Santa With Realistic Face Unboxing & Setup! Taylor Klapak 2022-07-19 | As you guys can tell, this is my first life size animatronic! I’ve been wanting to do set up videos for quite a while so this was a video that I was really excited to make. And as you can tell, I was so happy when I got this thing because it’s an item I’ve been wanting to get for a really long time, but I just was never really able to get him, and now I finally got one. This is a 2008 model as you can tell by the title. I didn’t know that before when I was unboxing it, but at one point I looked at the box to see if it would tell me the year, and it said 2008, which I was pretty shocked about honestly. Never would’ve thought I’d get an original. And it’s cool that it’s my first life size too. As you can tell I do have to fix him up. Before I didn’t even realize it, which I don’t know how lol, but the head ended up not turning on one side and didn’t know why before. Also, the dancing wasn’t working either. I had him set up for like 4 or 5 days, and then I disassembled him and put him away, but since I was talking to a couple friends about how I’m gonna fix this thing and get help with it and everything, I decided to take him back out just to see if I can find out for sure of what’s wrong with it and it turns out that the head mechanism needs a new belt since the belt that’s already in there keeps getting stuck and as for the dancing, the motor for it isn’t even buzzing whatsoever. All the wires are still connected, but at this point, I’m thinking that it either needs a new motor, or it could be a component on the board that could be messed up. Or maybe if this thing has a speed dial, that could even be messed up. Not fully sure for the dancing mech, but I’ll definitely figure all that out soon, and like I said I’m gonna get help with fixing him up and everything. Taylor Klapak 2022-07-19 | Alrighty, so as you can tell by the title & intro, these were a couple of random stories that were told on an Instagram livestream that I did with John (Dark Shadows Reviews) back in June, and especially John’s story was something else. Something I forgot to mention was that with all that stuff happen with what John ended up doing that night, i barely remember any of it just because the fact I was so tired and i was like half to almost dead asleep but I guess what was told in the video is what happened when i was about passed out.
