Cosmic Salad is a fast paced, extremely colorful, and well flowing level. It's just straight up eye candy honestly. It was also fun seeing the progression of this level and how fast Skele was able to make this. The ldm in this video also doesn't look like how it does in the actual level now. It was strengthened after verification, so most of the lag should be cleared up. But don't bet on it running perfect because this level literally uses all 999 groups lmao.The gameplay is also pretty fun, but my opinion can't be everyone else's. If you have any issues let either me or Skele know. It's like an easy insane demon so it's accessible to a lot of people. The level revolves a lot around buffering, so if it ever feels kinda janky then there's a decent chance you're not buffering right or at all. The dual is a good example of this because it's like 4 clicks, and almost all of them are buffers. I'm not gonna say the gameplay is perfect because I had a couple small issues I had to get around, but it was still very fun to go through. The gameplay, music, and decoration work so well together. The only somewhat major flaw I have with this level is the 55% black and pink orbs. They are janky, but it didn't take away from my experience. Still had fun the whole way through, and thanks to the people who stopped by my stream last night too!As for it's difficulty, it's a higher end insane. Not really high end to the point of bordering extreme, but its up there. It's on the legacy list on the Insane Demon List for reference. I can recommend this as a level to beat if you're making your way toward extreme demons, or just one for fun honestly.This level was part of a ladder I'm doing to help me de-rust and get back into the game. And it was on an actual banger. This level is a remake of Pixel Thingy by hinds, and I think it did a great job. Pixel thingy to me, has always felt like a level that needed a remake. It's deco felt empty, and it's gameplay just wasn't that great, especially from someone like Hinds. Tenzk did a great job on improving those two areas while staying true to the original style. The gameplay sorta strayed away from that, but it was much more fun than the original.And yes before you comment, there are a few skips in the level. We've made it a purposeful decision to leave them in. They're kinda fun to just have, and they don't change the difficulty too much, so we just left them in. Tenzk also did this on Eyesore as well.In terms of difficulty, I believe this is probably about Easy - Mid insane demon. The waves are definitely the hardest parts, and seem very daunting at first. But once you play them for a bit, they're not bad. You just kinda have to click a lot. The memory cube at 70 may also be a struggle for some, but it's very well synced and not very hard to remember. But overall, I had a really good time with this. Would definitely recommend it.Again, thank you to Tenzk for giving me this opportunity. But anyways this level is pretty sick. I knew the hosts of this level, so yet again I got to see the development. I remember Cersia said in call one day: "I really want to make a full level to Cash Cash - Overtime, and make it an ultra collab", at the time I thought he was a little bit crazy, but he's cersia so I figured if he did do it, it would get done. Later down the line the production actually starts, and there's not a whole lot of people joining. So he invites me in, and I make my part. It's garbage. I think it's 2nd worst in the level only to Chatter's part, but it's still pretty bad. It was however my first creation on 1.9 and I made it all in one night. I also did improve later with things like my Mujiwave part, so I have definitely improved. But damn I wanna redo it so badly. After a while more and more people joined and the quality kept increasing as we got more people, and eventually something crazy happened. Riot found a preview of the level and asked to verify. That was actually insane, we were ecstatic about it. So yeah, it turned out great. I recommend everyone should take a look at the top of the level specifically, there's a bunch of easter eggs that we made up there. Interesting stuff to look at.I did not expect the level to turn out as good as it did. When it was about 75% complete I only realized how well it was coming along. Parts like Pocke, Unnn, Demented, Paul333, Alkali, Rulls, and the entire end screen are awesome. And the gameplay is also pretty good, some of the best I've seen in a long level like this. That combined with the deco and the song, just fit so well man. The rush of energy that you get when you hit the final drop at 86 is genuinely amazing. It has it's choke points, but overall it isn't that bad. I did get frustrated with it though. I think after playing this and Arcane Ascent I realized that long levels make me angry. I tend to die at lots of dumb parts in them. But despite that I still recommend going for this if you're looking for a long level to get into. Except this one I was very hyped to see come out. Since I'm friends with the host Alkali, the ex verifier, the final verifier, AND the verifier of the update, I saw the entire progression of this level (we were all part of the same friend group). I thought it looked really fun, and I liked it's deco a lot too. But unfortunately, the final product was not great. This level, combined with online school, the "alcohol beverage plague", Photovoltaic, and other things (which include the reasons talked about in my Photovoltaic video), ruined my motivation to play the game and do other things. This level, in my opinion, is a mid tier insane demon. I really don't think the gameplay as a whole is too hard, it's just kinda long. But the gameplay for me was so demotivating to keep playing, it just hurt. I can name so many instances that made this level just unbearable for my patience. After talking to Minishoey about it in call, we made some changes. He decided to hit up Alkali, and said to him "Hey, Arcane ascent kinda sucks to play. Me and Ender made some balancing in a copyable, you mind if I turn this into an update?" And so he did. The update improved the level a lot. Antrax, Nyrophene, and especially Potatobaby's wave were improved greatly. Despite that, it was still very unenjoyable for me. I constantly died at Ryder's 2nd part, Trianious, Nyrophene, Tamori, and every part in the 2nd half. My worst death was 88, which was painful. But when I died at 83, I quit. That was it for me. It was such a demotivating spot to die at that I just stopped. Fast forward to January this year, after beating Bloodbath I realized that I should probably go back to the levels I quit. Because before Photovoltaic, I hardly ever dropped a level. The only levels I have ever dropped were Future funk, Psychosis, and Diffuse (which I went back and beat). So I did just that, and I beat it in 2 nights. The first session I streamed it, and I was afraid that I would fall back into the same experience again, because I never got to Kolby after and hour and a half of playing. But here's a life lesson: "Sleep literally makes you better at everything." So I beat it the next day in like 10 minutes. Make yourself a sleep schedule guys.So yeah, I didn't have a good time with this level. I know there are people who enjoy this level, AmorAltra is one of them, and good on him for that. But for me, this was different kind of unenjoyment. It was mainly just disappointment for me. I have nothing against the creators, verifiers, or the host. Geometry dash | Bloodbath (Extreme Demon) | By: Riot and more! ~Dream Demons +~ Enderlink 2021-05-02 | Welp, here it is. I completed the level that inspired me to play this game and get better. One of the levels I thought I would never in my life complete. But here I am writing this description and seeing the Level Complete! screen on my second monitor. It's truly surreal having this level completed.I put a lot of work into this video. It was made throughout months of demotivation and procrastination, and is also my last highlights video. I'd really appreciate it if you watch all the way through, but you don't have to. What matters most to me is that this video is finally out. Now here's my thoughts on the level: I like bloodbath (can't wait til twitter hears about that sentence). I think that bloodbath has plenty of enjoyable parts, however it's not perfect. Michigun's part is not the best and a very easy run killer, I choked at Evasium and Asonicmen more times than I should've, and I even died at Havok twice (how). Despite this, I didn't get that frustrated with the level, however I did not have as much fun as other levels the whole way through. While I have a very deep appreciation for this level, I have to be honest and content with how the level actually felt to play. And I did enjoy it, but it wasn't another Aurora or Acu for me that's for sure. I still very much recommend this level, even just getting runs on it. It's a pretty good level for getting more confident at your ship skills, and parts like Crack by itself are super fun to play. Just because it's on legacy now does not mean it's not worth playing. And if you're wondering, since this level is made easier on higher fps, no bypass or anything were used in my completion. Just straight 144hz. This level does challenge your patience a bit, and ship skill a lot, but I didn't regret going for it at all. Don't refrain from beating this level because people say "it's free on 3497734 fps go play cognition loser", play what you want and be proud of your achievements. This goes for any level, not matter how long it takes. I'm mentioning this because I'm tired of people saying that this level sucks in every aspect and shouldn't be played because it's easier on high fps. You're allowed to not like this level, but don't tell people to not play it because it's easy for a small percentage of the player base who play on high fps. This is truly a game where you can do anything you want, so embrace that. We need to stop being so serious about how people play levels man. This level slaps. Great gameplay, good modernistic design, on point click sync, and an awesome song that fits so well with the level. Also a really good difficulty too, being an easy extreme demon. I can absolutely recommend this level to anyone who is getting into extreme demons. It is a little bit learny, and not many people will like the beginning cube part at first, same goes with the beginning of the drop too. But getting those parts down weren't too bad at all, in fact I got them down fairly quickly compared to other parts. It's also a bit of a grindy level, which is why I had 9k attempts on it. Most of it will be spent on the beginning cube and learning. For me, I actually spent a bunch of time getting down the section after the dual and the 70 wave. In the video I explain why I've been gone for 8 months, and the TLDR is that I basically had no motivation due to things like school, covid, and getting busy every single time I try and work on something. I'll be uploading 4 more videos after this one so be on the lookout for those!As for Photovoltaic, man I had a terrible time with this. I beat this all the way back in May 2020, almost a full year ago. I planned to do highlights on this as well but never did. This level truly tested my patience and sanity. The first half of the level really doesn't make a whole lot of sense, its really unbalanced and weird to play. The actual drop of the level at 64% is better gameplay wise, but is WAY harder. GDSpeed's ship feels way harder than it should from 0. Fabman's part at 83 is really stupid and feels buggy. And I also had a really low IQ death at 91%, far below from what the human race considers minimal intelligence. So yeah, it wasn't great. His levels and collab parts truly challenged me even to this day, and he inspired me to also raise my stats. And overall, he as a player inspired me to improve back in my early days. While I never had interacted with him, I saw and knew the impact he had on a lot of people. From what I can tell, he was one of the kindest people this community had, and that's a quality I value a lot nowadays. Genuinely seemed like a great guy to talk with, and he was always nice to literally anyone he spoke with. But at least it has two cool routes that I did in the video, at the dual ship and the mini ship. It's also one of the easier temple levels, but I'd say you should go for fire temple instead of this one first as it's better gameplay wise. They are very difficult and hard to get consistent at. That's why the ball became a meme in the community, a long with the text portals. It can be attempt grindy because of the beginning being pretty hard, but everything after it is very fun. I wish I got the fluke tho, because the ending is pretty easy and I wanted to beat an extreme in under 5 digits. I think I am getting better at beating stuff faster though, I did this in 10k. Compared to TUP this is quite the step up, being much harder and i beat it faster. The level is around Cataclysm in difficulty, so I'd recommend giving it a shot. Thank you guys for an amazing year. I've grown so much this year not only in my channel, but also in my skill as a player. I went from 5k stars to 8k, and my hardest being Fairydust to being Retention, a level that I admired but I thought I would never beat. This year has been crazy in many amazing ways.Level opinions:This level was very fun. It is inconsistent in some places, the biggest culprit being the 61% cube part having a very hard orb timing just out of nowhere. The level also has just a few timings that are harder than the rest of the part, but don't let that fool you. Every part is fun to play and practice. It's also not too hard of an extreme, so if you're getting into extremes this is one I recommend personally if you wanna go for something harder than let's say cataclysm.I got very unlucky with this level sadly. Dying past 80 at least like 13-17 times, i lost count. I died at 90x5, 95x4, 96x2, and 97. I found the gameplay to be fun for the most part (obviously not including Enlex and Jenkins' part). Took maybe a bit too many attempts on the level, but I don't really think it matters much. This is my first extreme after all, and I took quite a big jump from hyperio technia.Hardest part of the level was Jenkins, and this level as a whole took a lot of learning. Which is where most of the attempts went into. This was also one of the first things i beat on 144hz as well (first thing being butterfly effect because i was bored on stream lol).Again, i'd recommend this level to anyone who likes this style of gameplay. It's also a very spammy level, so you need to have some stamina. It's fun once you've learned it.I will actually try to do easier stuff now that I've gotten my main priorities out of the way. The hardest thing I plan on doing soon is The Ultimate Phase, and i plan on doing diffuse and finally future funk some time soon.
